Chapter 8: Epiloge.

The dead part of the Detroit was revived, street racing is now legal. Now there are races every week and many come to see drag races, rallies, circuit racing, and drift cars.

Jacquelin Barclay and Peter Miles formed a racing team with Mercedes to race at Le Mans. They took their first win there with a secret prototype.

David Brown and Benny Hartford opened a shop and started restoring and modifying old cars. They still participated in street racing. The shop was a top spot for repairs and maintanence. It became more popular than any mod shop in the state.

John and Jacqui spent a lot of time restoring old cars and they had fun doing it. Remember that Bugatti covered up in Jacqui's garage? That was a Bugatti Type 35 restomod. It had a Audi 5 cylinder turbo engine. Some tweaks to the suspention and wider tires made it a perfect racecar for the road, lighter than any racecar in fact.

So chaps, what did we learn? What's the moral of this story? Maybe don't be a blithering idiot like Warren. No. It's just a story about a teenager who really likes racing cars.
