- Sir, we've found your son," said the assistant quickly.

The assistant handed him a tablet. and zoomed in on a section of the boat.

- He's in the arms of that young woman," he said.

- Didn't I ask you to keep an eye on him," said Shang Xie sullenly.

- I'm sorry, sir," apologized the assistant quickly.

- I'll go and get him," said Shang Xie before getting out of the car.

- Okay," said the assistant quickly.

Shang Xie walked briskly and powerfully to the boat, surrounded by his bodyguards.

The boat guard hesitated before blocking the alley.

- Ticket," asked the boat guard.

Shang Xie's bodyguards pushed the guard, who was forced to let him in. Then they headed for the boat deck.

He took off his jacket and put it over his son and the young woman. He tried to detach his son from the young woman, but it didn't work at all.

- Perhaps we should take both," suggested the assistant gently.

- Hmm," said Shang Xie, carrying them.

- Sir, don't you think it's funny? Your son is being carried by the young woman and you're carrying her," laughed the assistant.

- Shut up," said Shang Xie, "you'll wake up my son!

The villain has changed from Aaron to Shang Xie.

- I hope tonight I can have the answer to what my son was doing here," said Shang Xie gloomily.

The assistant nodded quickly and asked the guards to fetch the videos from the surveillance cameras.

We then returned to the car.

- Turn on the heating," said Shang Xie to his assistant.

- I did," he replied, turning it on.

Shang Xie removed his tie and closed his eyes.

The car started off, heading for Shang Xie's mansion.

- I hope this is the last time you lose my son," said Shang Xie with closed eyes.

- Yes, sir," said the assistant in a serious tone.

{Sleeping skill activated}

It was going to be a long journey. First we had to get to the airport, which would take almost 3 hours, then we had to catch the private jet that would take us to a small private island.

Maybe I should ask if we should take the young lady home, thought the assistant.

Glancing in the rear-view mirror, he noticed that everyone in the background was asleep.

He sighed and drove on, not wanting to wake his president.

Night had set in long ago.

After about 3 hours on the road, we arrived at the airport. The car parked right in front of the private jet.

Shang Xie got out of the car before turning to take Ruby and her son in her arms.

The assistant parked the car in the parking lot. While Shang Xie climbed the steps of the private jet to enter.

He first placed the two individuals he was holding in his arms on a seat before taking a seat next to them.

The assistant joined him a few minutes later inside the private jet.

- Your brother and your subordinates will meet you at your home by helicopter," warned his assistant.

- Hmm," replied Shang Xie in a sleepy voice.

- I'll let you sleep," said the assistant as he left.

He took a seat chosen at random, before telling a stewardess to start closing the doors so the pilot could get under way.

Once all this was done, the assistant decided to watch a few videos before falling asleep himself.

The trip took 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The private jet landed on a wasteland. And right next to it a huge house.

It was magnificent, and right on the sea. It was luminous because it was filled with large bay windows that let the light in.

We got off the private jet. The assistant tried to wake me up...

- Mademoiselle," he said, trying to wake me up.

- Maddy, stop...we'll talk later," I said sleepily.

- No, it's not her," said the assistant helplessly.

No one answered except silence.

The assistant managed to wake Shang Xing's son. He climbed out of Ruby's arms and took her hand.

It was Shang Xie who carried me home from the private jet. On the way, the rising sun lit up the sea as blue as crystal.

With each step taken, an ephemeral trace was left on the sand. And at her side the footsteps of her son, who was holding my hand.

Once inside the enormous mansion, he carried me to a guest room and laid me on the bed.

The room was very large. It had a large, comfortable bed, a large dressing room and a bathroom.

- Go to your room and sleep," said Shang Xie.

Joshua shook his head.

- Do you want to stay?

he nodded, holding my hand firmly.

- But you've got to let her rest," said his father.

He hesitated before letting go of my hand.

- Come on, let's go," said his father, before taking him by the hand.

They left the room and headed downstairs. Since his son wasn't tired, he decided to go into the living room.

- Shall I prepare breakfast, sir? proposed the butler.

- Yes, please," thanked Shang Xie.

They went into the living room and sat down on the sofa.

- Joshua, did the lady help you? asked his father.

Joshua frowned and nodded.

- She protected me," he finally said.

- Do you remember her first name," he asked in a soft voice.

- Ruby, I've heard people call her that," Joshua replied hoarsely.

Shang Xie tenderly stroked his head before standing up.

- Look at the TV, I'll be right back," he said.

Joshua nodded and turned on the TV.

Shang Xie left for his office, where his subordinates and brother were waiting.

Entering his office, he closed the door behind him.

He took a seat behind the desk and sat down on the chair. A tablet was handed to him.

- This is the surveillance video we managed to retrieve," said his brother.

Shang Xie looked at it. It showed a group of young people trying to get Joshua to leave before deciding to keep him on the boat.

Then they argued with Ruby, and something happened before she was thrown overboard with her son.

A few minutes later, she emerged from the water with her son soaking wet. She hid him in a corner before going to make the youth group pay.

Not bad, thought Shang Xie.

- Make sure everyone knows that two young people have been reported missing, got it? asked Shang Xie.

- Yes, sir," replied his subordinates before leaving.

They left their boss and his brother alone.

- I'm glad Joshua's all right," said his brother reassuringly, "but I can't wait to see what happens next.

- Me too," said Shang Xie.

Whoever dared to hurt his son had to pay the price.
