The sword was thrusted toward Koa, Koa felt if he redirected the blade his sword would break. So, Koa decided to expose his weakness to kill his opponent. Koa ducked downward and dashed to the right side, dodging the sword completely. Koa arrived at the left back side of the knight and jammed his broken sword upward between the gap in his torso armor. Koa's blade ripped it way through the chainmail, puncturing the knight's lung and piercing his heart. The knight groaned and fell to the ground gargling on his blood.
"Looks like my presumption was right your weakness was you were only a forward fighter. Leaving everything to the front you forgot to protect your sides." Koa said to the knight.
Koa was about to remove his sword but stopped. His sword was broken and would hinder him because he would have to move in closer. Koa decided to use his opponent's blade; it was a long sword made of steel. The blade was a little heavier than the sword he previously had. Koa with his new sword in hand continued; went in search for new opponent.
It was not long until he found a new opponent. His opponent had a similar air about him as the worn armor knight. Though this knight had new armor that match, but his right shoulder guard was gold. Koa decided to go on defense first in order to understand his opponent. The gold shoulder knight wasted no time knowing his opponent was not going to make the first move. The Knight swung his sword; Koa blocked the move with ease. After his sword was blocked he swung his sword in the other direction trying to cut through Koa. Koa blocked this as well and swung his sword toward the knight; causing a large gash to appear in the chest plate, but barely cutting the skin. The knight backed up to get out of the distance of Koa. This was not the only reason to distance himself.
"Leopards Legs." The Knights shouted.
The Knights lower part of his body had a faint light green glow. The knight moved fast enough to make it hard to see with the naked eye. The knight ran to try to get to Koa's back; Koa noticed his target. Koa waited for him to get within range of his sword. The knight ran and jumped at the backside of Koa thinking he was still confused of his movements. The knight was striking downward, but Koa turned around. In a fluid movement the head of the golden shoulder knight, hit the ground. The blood strayed from his body covering Koa in a thick coat of liquid.
Koa continued exposing their weaknesses and killing them in a few swings of his sword. This only would add another coat of blood on Koa.
The battle between the two cities has been going on for a few hours now, but it was more of a one side massacre. The knights of Falix have slaughtered the knights of Axefall; only of an eighth of what the original infantry remained, and less than half the cavalry. Hemis knew that he would probably lose this battle, but he still wanted to think he had a chance.
The battle was nearing its end, Axefall had barely a hundred infantry and five hundred cavalry left. As the slaughter was nearing its end both sides heard a strange sound. This was the sound of a war horn from the demon race.
The battle between the cities stopped. Then through the green foliage came an army of demon knights; their numbers were in the thirty-five thousand. The immediate sound of retreat came from both cites' camp. The cavalry was the first to retreat, but this left the infantry of both cities to combine to fight against the demons.
The two City Lords rode horses to meet. They meet on top of a near by hill.
"The battle is over Jase we need to join to defeat the Demons." Hemis said with a pissed of look on his face.
"That is true, but you clearly lost. When we finish this, you will hand over your city." Jase said with a smile.
"We don't have time to discuss that matter. We need to join forces and reform our armies." Hemis said with a scowl.
"Fine. But we will talk about this." Jase
A knight rode towards the two City Lords. The knight was Patrick.
"Lord Hemis. There is a problem with the retreat." Patrick
"What is the problem?" Hemis and Jase said in unison.
"The infantry got left behind by the cavalry. They are still currently battling the demons." Patrick
During this time, the battle between the humans and demons was going on. Koa was on the frontline with previous enemies by his side. Koa clashed with the demons. The demons had more strength than humans normal, but this did not stop Koa from finding their weaknesses or mistakes. Koa would kill then, move to the next.
The humans were losing more numbers by the second, as they would either lose to the demon they are fighting or get stabbed in the back by another demon. The Demons were ruthless they would not let you live if the got hold of you. As a result of only a few minutes of fighting the human's numbers were cut by three quarters. The humans that were left killed demons left and right, but this felt worthless against the thirty-five thousand.
Lord Hemis and Lord Jase were trying to find away to turn the odds and hopefully save their knights. As they wasted time trying to find a solution the knights left were in the hundreds. Then one of the main backers for City Lord Jase told him that they would waste more lives trying to save the Infantry; than use the advantage of have the infantry keep them busy as they prepped for to kill all the demons at once. Jase knew that this would bring most of the positive result, least number of casualties.
