Chapter III- The Beginning to a End

The mixture scent of blood plus smoke, the noise of people screaming for their lives, the feeling of cold metal on Akumas right side and something sticky yet smooth on his left, the taste of the smokey hot air, when Akuma decided to finally open his eyes, he was met with dead bodies and vibrate variety of blood, people, weaponry, and buildings all around him. A burning city that was unfamiliar to him where paranormal creatures were either running away for their lives or fighting against humans, Akuma looked down to his body his red eyes in a bit of amazement but more filled with confusion that he was wearing some kind of strange armor, the left half was entirely black like a void into the unknown, akuma had brought his left hand that was covered by this stuff as well, but the black substance began to move up from his hand to his elbow as his hand got closer to the left side of his chest, Akumas eyes noticed that the language on his left forearm had changed, the scribbles were completely different, touching whatever was covering the left side of his body, it felt smooth, soft, and sticky; almost like jello, there were no edges on the left side. Removing his hand from the strange substance on his chest, the black substance stayed to Akumas hand and begun stretching out, but quickly leaving his hand when Akuma brought my hand completely away from his body, his hand being almost three feet away from his chest. The right side was completely red and looked as if Akuma had scales in the shape of teardrops on his body, touching the red scales with his left hand as well, it felt rough, like sandpaper, and cold as well, there were spikes on every edge of the right side, from the shoulder to the toes, Akuma right hand looked as if he had claws instead of fingernails. Removing his left hand from his chest, Akuma placed his left hand back to his side and the hand was covered back with the black substance. This whole scene was a mess and Akuma began to walk backward slowly, trying to think. Why in the world would Akuma have woken up in the middle of a fight between the humans and the paranormal, but the main mythical creatures seemed to be demons. But what were they doing here, no one had seen them in centuries so why were they just out in the open now? But as Akumas mind went wild with thoughts a powerful and terrifying roar from above and when Akuma looked up to see what had made that mighty roar it was a dragon whose scales were just like Akumas flying above the city, shooting fire downwards towards the masses of people fighting.

"W-What the hell is going on?" Akuma asked himself as Akuma turned his body around and began running, turning his head right and left, looking for a way out of whatever was going on, Akuma was so confused, why was there a dragon, they should be extinct! Akuma didn't know what hs should do besides try to find a way out of here. But as he was running straight, taking a turn every other time there was a opening to turn in a different path so he wouldn't go in a circle. but as he kept going Akuma was stopped in his tracks, falling backward after a skinny beam of light had come falling, only inches away from hitting Akumas body. He began to crawl backward while getting back to his feet. Looking upwards to see where the beam of light had come from, there was a pale white male who had blond, curly hair, yet short, well-kept hair. His eyes were crystal blue, with sharp facial features, this male was standing in the air. the strange young male was looking down onto Akuma, his eyes seem to tell a story that Akuma was a lesser being than him, the male brought his left hand to be directed towards Akuma and the palm of his hand began to glow brightly as Akuma placed his left foot in front of his body, and kept his right foot behind and Quickly bought his fist up, Akuma left fist in front of his right as if Akuma was going to box the blonde haired male, something about this male made everything in Akuma want to fight, to kill. Akuma didn't know this person but Akima had a devilish smirk plastered upon his face, Akuma wanted to escape whatever this was, he was in the middle of some kind of war, but first he'll fight whoever is in the air, he reeked of death.

"Akuma,"he male spoke with a voice as smooth as silk, it was a bit of a deep pitched, but as he was about to speak again multiple beams of light had shot out from his left hand so quickly, Akumas eyes didn't even have time to react before they had already passed through his body body, Akumas body was now covered in holes that were leaking blood and Akuma tried to take a step with his right foot his left leg went numb as Akuma kneeled, hewas confused, how did the blonde hair know Akuma.

"Die," The blons hair male spoke once more while the male had come down from the air and when he touched the ground he was a few feet away from me and he kept his left arm up and his palm was still glowing, Akuma tried to get his left leg to move by trying to put any kind of feeling so Akuma used his left hand to stab his leg, Akuma didn't care if it was pain that he felt, as long as Akuma could use his legs to take yim forward to the future where Akuma can still fight. But as he was trying to bring back feeling to his leg the male had shot off another beam, but it was a single beam, bigger than any of the other previous ones and it hit directly in the middle of Akumas abdomen, making him fall backward, but as Akuma was falling the male brought his right arm up a bit above his waist and his middle and index fingers turned completely black, and he moved his two fingers from left to right and a black line had come from his fingers as they move, and when Akuma looked down my waist, it had been cut in half, and when his back hit the ground Akumas misshapen guts began to spill out from his waist. The last thing Akuma heard from the male was a chilling laugh as everything went dark was.

"Remember Akuma, you'll never be as strong as me, Yano; the god who rules all" Akuma had woken up in a cold sweat, his heart almost bursting out of his chest, and quickly sitting up. He looked from left to right, he was currently inside a white-colored tipi that had a long, thick log in the middle that kept the tipi up. Akuma looked down to his body, his hands moving around his torso, trying to feel for something but his chest was completely wrapped, so was his arms, he quickly pulled the covers off to see they were bandaged from the knees down to his feet, but no clothing. Akuma had moved his legs off from the bed, sitting on the edge of the bed as his feet had touched the soft dirt, he looked at his surroundings in the room, there were three treasure chest, one to the right that was next to the exit, one parallel to the first chest, and the third chest was directly in front of him, all of the chests was the same, made from light-colored wood, and had linings of silver with a steel lock on them as well. On top of the chest directly in front of him was a pair of clothing; a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, black socks, and his pair of black boots. He used his hands to push his body off from the bed and moved his legs as he leaned forward, beginning to walk, the pain he had felt from last night wasn't lingering to him anymore. When he arrived at the chest he proceeded to toss the note away, a bit curious about how whoever had put the clothes here and had brought Akuma here knew him. Akuma took his boots, placing them on the ground, and took the shirt, unfolding and putting his hands at the bottom and inside of the shirt and he put his arms directly up above his body as the shirt, the shirt was a bit baggy around the arms. He placed his right hand on the blue jeans, picking the jeans up and unfolding them, but as his eyes were still fixated on where he had grabbed the clothing, he saw the file and the cylinder contraption. Akuma had dropped the jeans and quickly used his right hand to grab the file, making the cylinder contraption roll off the treasure chest, but he didn't care, he had what he originally tried to obtain from Elizabeth. Akuma grabbed the edge of the files with his almost shaking left hand opening the files slowly when they were completely open, Akuma didn't look happy, instead, his eyebrow furrowed, his right handheld, and was clenching down hard. The first page of four had said all the basics, from his name to his hair color, but for species it was unknown, and for his background, it was unknown as well. Anything that wasn't about physical appearance was unknown, there was a headshot of Akuma in the upper right of the piece of paper, in the description, it was said to always keep an eye on him, and to put him down if he ever caused a scene. On the next page of the file was every event, from everywhere he went, what he ate, and to his missions, including yesterday when he had killed Tsuneo. And when he flipped the page again it was Elizabeth's reports on Akuma for all his missions and how she thought about he was doing on the field, and a paragraph of how useful he was, in the paragraph it talked about how he was her perfect soldier, and how he would be her attack dog until he was killed. Akuma didn't look at the page of the file and threw it to the ground with rage.

"Complete garbage," Akuma said with a bit of a troubling laugh, covering his face with his left hand, wanting to cry a little cause he was now back at square one about who he was, all this work, and it all amounted to nothing. Removing his left hand from his face, Akuma bent down with a scowl on his face, grabbing the blue jeans with his left hand and the cylinder contraption with his right hand. After getting the blue jeans on he placed the cylinder contraption in his right pocket and then proceeded to put the black socks and his boots on. Once complete, Akuma made his way out from the tipi and looked to the right, no one, but to the left, there was a short old man, in a yellow robe, with a grey beard that went all the way down to his ankles sitting down in a wooden chair. His arms were crossed and his legs were dangling off from the chair. The old man had looked towards Akuma with his brown eyes, his pupils were in the shape of clock hands, and brown hair that changed into grey as his hair went down to his beard.

"Morning, you've been asleep for almost six days straight; did you sleep well?" The old man asked with a cheery voice while he hopped off from the chair, Akuma kept his eyes on him, Akuma stretched his arms, his whole body felt stiff from having such a terrifying nightmare.

"Yeah, I slept fine, where am I?" Akuma asked with a scowl on his face, less concerned about how long he had been asleep, and more interested where he was.

"You're about three miles out from the city, but you probably don't want to be there right now, considering everyone is looking for you," The old man said, still keeping his voice cheerful while he walked towards Akuma, pulling out a piece of paper and handing the paper to Akuma, Akuma took the piece of paper and looked down to the piece of paper, it was a bounty for his head, it was the same as Tsuneos wanted poster, but Akumas price was one hundred thousand sjiean, but Akuma showed no kind of surprised look.

"Well shit, I'll have everyone over the country looking for me," Akuma said, chuckling a little as he crumpled the piece of paper, and then proceeded to throw it into the woods, but as the piece of paper was leaving Akumas hand the paper was covered in a black flame, as the piece of paper turned to ash in the air and the black flame disappeared before hitting the ground

"You finally got some of your powers back, good job; soon you'll have all the powers you had when you were on the level of a god." The old man said, turning his body towards the woods with Akuma, Akuma looked a bit surprised.

"I'm no god, a girl tried to tell me I could fight on the level of gods, but that was probably her just trying to entertain me while she could talk with me" Akuma spoke while sitting down on the ground, his legs crisscrossed and his hands laid on his kneecaps

"Sada wasn't wrong, you can fight the gods, all you have to do is become stronger" The old man spoke and Akuma glanced to the old man

"How do you know I was talking about Sada?" Akuma asked curiously

"I know a lot, but; Sada has been looking for you for a long while, after your last fight with Yano, it had been almost one hundred years since the fight, and she should arrive here any minute now" The old man spoke looking down a little, his tone was becoming less cheerful, and more in a serious tone, who was this old man?

"Who the hell is Yano? That's the fourth time I heard his name, the first from Elizabeth, whoever gave me this power, at the end of the dream I just had, and now from you, I heard him mentioned from Sada, so who the hell is this bastard?"Akuma said a bit frustrated, everyone he had talked to in the past days seems to know who Yano was except for him, and it was beginning to get annoying and frustrating that no one would say anything about whoever this Yano person was

"He's no one you need to worry about just yet, all you should know is that he wants to make the perfect world, and will do anything. He's already either killed every god that testified him or made them grovel to their knees to beg for mercy, as of now Yano is the strongest in the world no questions asked" the old man spoke as Akuma looked down to his lap, taking his shirt off and tossing it to the ground as he began to rip and tear off the wrapping that covered his body.

"Well then, why do I have to be the one to fight him, can't someone else do it?"Akuma said with a devilish smirk, Akuma thought about how much fun it would be to fight whoever this Yano guy is, fighting powerful enemies was like pure ecstasy for Akuma.

"You have to fight him because no one else can, you are the only god alive that didn't have any fear to fight anyone, you were someone who would live for the chance to fight someone stronger than you," the old man said, keeping a light smile on his face while going back to his cheerful tone. The old man began to walk towards the entrance of the tipi and glance back to Akuma

"Do you wanna come back inside? I have something I wanna give to you before you leave," The old man spoke, disappearing into the tipi while Akuma stayed outside, wondering about what he should do next after he left, what town would he go to, how would he be able to become strong enough to go toe to toe with whoever Yano was, what kind of power did Yano possess that made him so powerful, whatever it was Akuma wanted to see what it was, Akuma inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly as he got up from the ground and looked up to the sky

"If I can fight him, then I'll do it, I wanna see what power this guy has, hopefully, he doesn't disappoint," Akuma said with the devilish smirk still plastered on his face, Akuma turned his body behind him putting his right hand inside his front right pocket, bringing out the cylinder contraption.

"Now, what are you?"Akuma mumbled to himself curiously, placing his hand on the pin that was facing towards his face, and pulled the pin to the left, once the pin had left its holding place, the cylinder contraption expanded, hitting Akuma in the middle of his face, making him fall to his ass, dropping the cylinder contraption that extended to a bow staff.

"Dammit, son of a bitch, mother fucker," Akuma muttered to himself, cursing to himself while he had both hands on his face. But slowly Akuma got back to his feet and walked over to the bow staff, removing his right hand away from his face and, gripping tightly around the middle of the bow staff, bringing off from the ground, and removing hid left hand as well, his left hand was covered in his blood, his nose was bleeding and blood was flowing down his face.

"Dammit, I'll take care of it a bit," Akuma said to himself, looking at the bow staff, it was almost seven feet big and there was a thin line at the middle of the bow staff. Akuma had remembered that there had been a button on the bottom, Akuma had brought his right hand down to the bottom of the bow staff, pressing the button, opening a long, thin hole that was on opposite sides of the ends of the bow staff, releasing two curved blades, this was a dual bladed scythe.

"Interesting," Akuma said, pressing the button again, making both of the blades go back inside and contracting back into its original state, Akuma placed the pin back, then proceeded to place his weapon back in his right pocket, and as he was about to make his first step to go inside, he heard a familiar voice from behind him that made his devilish smirk fade away.

"You're finally awake, well then guess it's time for us to begin the journey," When Akuma heard the voice he turned his head to see that it was Sada who seemed a little confused with all the blood on Akumas face as he turned his body back around to meet her when she was two feet away from him, Sada stopped in her tracks

"Well it can wait for a minute, the old man has something for me," Akuma said as he walked backward a bit and turned his body as he entered the tipi to see the old man.

"Why do you have blood all over your face?" Sada asked, but Akuma didn't seem to want to answer the question.

"Did Sada arrive? I haven't found everything I have for you yet, and wash off the blood Akuma" The old man said as Akuma kept his eyes towards the old man, watching while the old man was searching in the treasure chest that Akuma had obtained his clothes from. Walking towards the old man since Akuma had noticed that the old man had paper towels for Akuma in his left hand, taking the roll and walking back over to the bed, taking pieces and whipping his face off from all the blood that he had from the embarrassing incident

"question for you, where are my actual clothes, and the other stuff I had on me?"Akuma asked, looking down at his white shirt that had red stains on the upper half as Sada had walked in.

"Your clothes, I threw everything away beside the boots and that trenchcoat, your clothes were painted with blood so I thought you wouldn't want them, I destroyed your phone, and threw away your wallet, but I kept the cash, " the old man said as he brought out Akumas black trenchcoat, it was clean, no bloodstains, and no dirt. Akuma had grabbed the coat from the old man, unfolding and putting his hands through the armholes, and placing the hoodie over his head, checking all the trench coat pockets he found all the cash he had in the left inner pocket that was next to his heart.

"Thanks, what's your name, old-timer?" Akuma asked as the old man watching as the old man had brought out a rolled-up piece of paper.

"My name is Tsubasa, it's good to finally see you again Akuma," Tsubasa said, handing a rolled-up piece of paper to Akuma. Akuma unrolled the paper to reveal a map of the country.

"Oh yeah, what am I to you, a son?" Akuma curiously asked seeing there were stars on certain places on the map, and small notes on the edges and around the country, but Akuma could read all that later.

"No, you're not my son, but you're the son of one of my old friends" The old man spoke.

"Are we done? It's time to head out to our destination" Sada said, grabbing Akuma by his right forearm with both her hands, slowly dragging him out towards the exit.

"Where do you plan on taking him?"Tsubasa asked curiously

"Straight to the island where his ancestors had trained for him to train so he can become strong enough to fight Yano," Sada said, only inches away from the door until Akuma had pulled his arm away from her.

"What, I'm not training solo, or just training with you. If I'm going to train; I wanna fight strong opponents, I won't get far just by training in someplace where it's just you and me," Akuma said looking down to Sadas eyes, she didn't seem too happy with Akumas answer.

"Unfortunately, As much as I would wish for your destination to be the best answer, Sada, Akuma is right, no typical training place will do, so I'll give you a special location where you can go to fight a strong opponent that works for Yano, to begin with. Plus you'll be saving people, and maybe make a friend along the way," Tsubasa said while walking to Akuma and Sada.

"Oh, where's that?" Akuma asked with a bit of excitement in his voice.

"It's a town that's not far off, just a few miles down southeast, the town name is Kineallen," Tsubasa said after pointing at the star that was on the bottom left of the map.

"Thanks," Akuma spoke wondering how far it could be, there was no point to see where they were but Tsubasa had placed his fingers directly two inches away from the Kineallen marker.

"This is where you are, just go straight down and you'll make it there when the sun sets," Tsubasa said, a bit cheerful.

"Dammit, then let's go there" Sada spoke with a bit of an annoyed tone, waiting for Akuma at the exit and Akuma began to walk towards the exit, rolling the map up and placing inside his left jacket pocket that was next to his stomach side

"Right, well old-timer, I'll come to visit you after I kick Yano's ass to earth's core, and maybe even a little further down," Akuma spoke, bringing his left hand up above his shoulder and waving Tsubasa goodbye when Akuma stepped out of the tipi, the man gave a wave back to him

"Hopefully you can do that this time, and take off the bandages before you reach the town," Tsubasa said, watching Akuma exiting and disappearing into the woods with Sada.

"Got it," Akuma said walking into the forest with Sada, it began to go silent but then Sada spoke

"So, are you excited to start?" when Sada asked Akuma didn't know but Akuma knew for sure he was excited to fight

"I don't know if I'm excited to go on an adventure, but I'm excited as hell to fight whoever is in Kineallen" Akuma spoke as they began to walk in complete silence, making their way to Kineallen and whoever awaited them there
