"Everyone, meet Callie"
The gasping and gushing all increased as everyone said hello for the first time.
After around an hour, I became really sleepy. Jake noticed right away and politely got everyone to leave us in peace.
I rested my head on his shoulder and drifted off into a deep sleep
Jakes POV
I looked over at my beautiful baby girl. She was more than i had ever imagined. I felt so proud of y/n for going through all that, and I knew it was more than worth it.
Callie slept peacefully as I stared in awe at this tiny human, my daughter.
Y/Ns POV
I slowly woke up and immediately checked on Callie. Still asleep in the hospital cot.
Me and Jake looked at each other, happily.
"Babe when can we go home,"
"Afew hours" he said quietly before putting my hair behind my ear.
Suddenly Callie started screaming, indicating another feeding time.
______________
"Jake are you sure we didn't forget anything I asked anxiously"
"Yep don't worry y/n/n"
Callie was in her car seat , wrapped in loads of blankets.
We drive was shorter than I expected, and before we knew it we were outside our apartment.
Me and Jake decided to give her a house tour, even though we knew it meant nothing to her. It meant so much to us though.
We gently settled her down in her cot and checked she was safe.
Jake put his arm around me, and we stood watching our angel sleep peacefully and deeply.
Jake gently tugged my arm, pulling me out of my trance, "we should probably go to bed for a
bit" he whispered
I nodded tiredly and we dragged ourselves into our room and into bed, where we snuggled up together and fell into a deep sleep.
An hour later we were jolted awake by Callie screaming her head off and I tried to get out of bed. Jake quickly stopped me, "I've got this one y/n/n"
I smiled gratefully and relaxed as Callie quietened as Jake changed her. I heard him whispering to her softly, and soon enough he was back next me to me.
We took it in terms for the rest of the night, except when she needed feeding as Jake was unfortunately no help with that.

I opened my eyes the next morning, and quickly jumped out of bed to check on Callie, who was still fast asleep.
I sat on a nearby chair and smiled to myself, as I waited for her to wake up.
Jake joined me afew minutes later, yawning and stretching, before sitting down next to me as we continued the wait.
Soon enough she was awake and immediately me and Jake started fussing at her. We both melted as she let out a tiny giggle when Jake started pulling stupid faces.
The rest of the day was the same routine, changing her, feeding her, and playing around with her, learning about our tiny baby.
Me and jake were over the moon and it was amazing to look at our daughter and see a little bit of each other, looking back.
