When Madara walked in, he saw shelves upon shelves of grimoires'. He wasn't in the least amused. He could tell he was early because there were only a few there. Madara chose to put his back to the wall and wait for the ceremony to start. After a few minutes, he could hear people talking about him and what he was wearing.
It was no mystery that the clothes he was wearing were a bit loose. He heard that he was filthy and how he was too poor to afford clothes. If he wanted to, Madara could kill everyone in the tower. He only sent a little killing intent toward the ones talking about him.
"Madara!" A few voices called out to him. When he opened his eyes, he saw a few familiar faces.
A gray-haired boy with short stature and a muscular build. He has green eyes and messy, ash blonde hair with bangs in front of his forehead and a single strand protruding upward from the center of his head.
He was wearing a plain white tunic with a V-shaped collar underneath a dark blue jacket whose sleeves extend to his elbows. He's wearing a pair of matching shorts which had stitch marks on the left side.
His pants also extend just below his knees. His shoes are made out of two different cloth, the parts covering his ankle, the soles the same color as his jacket and pants. The part covering his toes is white, with a vertical stitch mark going from the bridge to his toes.
This was Asta. He also was a little taller than he was in canon.
A boy of average height with a lean build, amber eyes, and messy black hair. His outfit consisted of a pitch-black shirt with a high collar and long sleeves. The sleeves have brown leather that covers his wrist and upper arms.
He wore light brown pants that cut below his knees and, around his waist, a pair of brown belts that cross each other. Additionally, he won't a pair of dark-colored socks and a pair of boots.
He also wore a necklace made of a gold-colored chain and a blue magic stone, which has a gold-colored cross and four-pointed stars at each corner.
This Yuno. Even though he had grown tall, he shorter than Madara by a few inches.
A young woman with dark blue hair. Her bangs parted to the sides, with more on the left side of her forehead and covering most of her left brow. She has large, kind teal eyes, lined with long lashes. She has relatively pale skin and a black beauty mark under her left.
She wore a nuns habit and a gold cross on a gold bead necklace. This was Sister Lily, someone Madara had his eye on when he was a child.
A middle-aged man with short, gray hair and a goatee. He wore a long, black robe with a wide, white band at the hem and cuffs. He always wore a high collared, white mantle and a gold necklace with a cross. This was Orsi Orfai.
"Madara where have you been the past three years?" Orsi asked with happiness in his voice.
"Yeah, we've been worried about you," Asta said in a low and sad tone.
"You can't just up and leave!" Sister Lily claimed with her face turning red. He could tell she has been worried about him by the tone of her voice.
"Who's he? He looks kinda scary," A short girl with black hair said as she pulled on Orsi's robe.
"This is Madara, he gave us food and visited us for eight years, then disappeared for three, now he's here," Orsi explained to the little girl.
"Hey, why did you come back?" Asta said as he poked Madaras' arm.
Madara grabbed Asta's hand then pointed up to the master of the grimoire tower. He then walks over to the center of the rook where Yuno was.
"You all begin a new journey today. I wish you all faith, hope, and love," The master said as he descended on this green lit carpet.
"Ahem! Now it's time for the awarding... of the grimoires!" The master said as grimoires from the shelves started glowing orange, yellow, brown, and blue, etc.
The grimoires started flying to its new owner, as everyone had voices of excitement.
"Check it out! Mines bigger!"
"Mines thicker, though!"
If Madara didn't know any better, he would have thought they were comparing sizes. To their grimoire, of course.
"We'll be taking the Magic Knights' entrance exam in six months," A boy with blonde hair said as he held up his red grimoire.
"We'll be sure to get in!" A boy with brown hair said standing next to the blondie.
While everyone was surprised about what they said, they failed to notice the one person who hadn't gotten there grimoire.
"Um..." Everyone turned to look at where the source came from. "My grimoires' not coming," He said as he had a look of disbelief with his arm raised out.
"Er... Try again next year," The master said as he strokes his white beard.
"What?!" Asta said as he had a look of shock on his face. Everyone started laughing to only be silenced by the bright glow of Yuno's grimoire.
"A four lead clover..." The look and sound of disbelief rang throughout the tower. While everyone was surprised about Yuno's grimoire, another bright yellow light lit up the tower. Only this light was brighter than Yuno's.
"No way, he got one too?"
"Two legendary grimoire's said to have immense power and good luck!"
While everyone was cheering and congratulating both Madara and Yuno on receiving a four lead clover. A sketch looking man in the back with a red robe on a smirk, as he disappeared.
"I'm going to become wizard king!" Yuno said as Asta fell to his knees. This caused an uproar which annoyed Madara so he left.
Madara knew how this would play out so he left as soon a possible. When everyone started to leave, Yuno and the others looked for Madara, but he had already left.
This made Yuno angry because he was going to declare him his rival, but he left too quickly. This left Orsi sad, but Sister Lily felt pain in her chest after Madara hadn't spoken a word to either of them.
