CH.2

Zoro's eyes opened, he gripped his swords as he sat up and was to his feet in mere moments. He had grown up in a rough neighborhood, so even tho he moved to a nicer town, using what little money he could scrape together, he was still very much aware when sleeping, and gripped his weapons almost immediately when waking up. He looked at his clock... 9:00. He groaned.

He had trained his body to wake up at the same time every morning, how had he failed this time. He gets paid well, as he took up a job doing construction and is able to lift far more than everyone else at his job, so he just slept all day everyday when he was free. Except today he had school, and Dracule Mihawk, the man he worked for, agreed to let him work, only under the condition that he finished school, so zoro was more than determined to do so. He hopped out of bed, quickly getting dressed and zooming out the door.

"Damnit im late again. This is bullshit." He muttered as he slammed the door behind him.

"My my, Zoro, you have quite the fowl mouth." Said a familiar feminine voice, teasing him from a distance, shortly down the sidewalk.

"Robin? What are you doing here so late?" He asked, ignoring her remark. He knew that Robin was always on time for school, so it made no sense for her to be there so late.

"It isn't late; it's only 7:09." She said, slightly confused.

He breathed a sigh of relief. He knew something had to have been wrong; he went to bed and woke up at the same times every day. I guess the time switched.

"Well then. That's good news" he said, becoming a little bit less tense. "Well then, I guess I got ready really fast for no reason."

Robin giggled. "I find it quite amusing to see you in such a rush though," she said, teasing him.

The mosshead gritted his teeth. "Lets just keep walking." He muttered.

They walked slowly but intently down the sidewalk, their footsteps in almost perfect unison. The morning air was cool and refreshing, waking them up and preparing them for the day ahead of them. They stopped by Chopper's house as well. Their little furry friend was waiting for them at his door.

"Zoro? What are you doing here, you don't usually make it to school so early." Chopper inquired.

Zoro gritted his teeth once again. "I'd rather not talk about it," he grumbled. The three walked together, sighing as they reached the school and met up with luffy and the others. Zoro smiled for the first time that morning, his stress being relieved. He was annoyed by the same question several times, but he was feeling good nonetheless.

Mr. Newgates class went by without any problems, he already knew how to measure angles and triangles, so transversals were relatively simple, he had to explain it to Luffy more times than he could count, but he didn't get annoyed, he was feeling fine.

"Look luffy. All lines have to equal 180, so if that angle is 76, and the two angles come together to make a straight line, then that angle HAS to be 104," he said multiple times, with Luffy finally getting it at around the 4th time.

He looked around the classroom, seeing another kid with a sword in the seat in front of Luffy, who's seat was beside his own. He had spiky, black hair and almost laid in his chair. Zoro, having nothing else to do, tapped him on his shoulder. Without turning around, the kid spoke.

"What do you want?"

"Your blade... It's cursed."

"I know that. What's it to you?"

"Well. I happen to have a cursed blade myself," Zoro said, gesturing towards Shisui. The kid's eyebrows raised, and he turned in his seat to look at Zoro.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Roronoa Zoro. And you?"

"Trafalgar Law"

"Ill just call you Law. You seem pretty cool, anyway."

"You too dude," Law said, turning back around.

Zoro turned to Robin, "hey what you reading?" he asked, signaling towards the book in her hand.

"Oh, Zoro. I'm just reading something for social studies. I see you've made a new friend; that's nice."

"Oh Law? He's cool. Anyway, why are you doing something for social studies? My class doesn't even have anything for social studies yet?"

"Well it's always nice to get ahead, and I've got nothing else to do, so 'why not?' I guess." She said, not looking up from her book.

"You've got nothing else to do?" He asked, confused.

"Yes. Is there anything wrong with that?" She inquired.

"No, no. But if you've got nothing better to do, why not just come over to my place friday? I've got nothing to do either."

"Hmm... Like a date?" She asked, a slight smirk playing on her lips.

He froze for a second, before looking back at her. "Yeah, I guess," he said before turning back around. Math class went by fairly smoothly, along with all of their other classes, and before they knew it, they were heading out.
