"Come, ye children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it."
-Psalm 34: 11-14

-Movie Narration-
When I was a little girl, my mother would remind me each night before bed to open up my heart to God, for he was kind, merciful, and just.
Things changed when my father left a few years later, leaving her to raise my brothers and me in a place on the edge of the Mojave Desert. She never talked of a kind, merciful God again. Instead, she spoke of a prophecy. Of a time when all the world would be covered in darkness, and the fate of mankind would be decided.
One night I finally got up the courage to ask my mother why God had changed, why he was so mad at his children.
"I don't know," she said, tucking the covers around me, "I guess he just got tired of all the bullshit."

-Los Angeles, California. The Day The World Ended-
Team China had appeared one by one in the city of Los Angeles. The sun was high in the sky, and it was cooking in the city.
At the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Tie Ta was the first to arrive. Then his team blipped in. They stood in the middle of the Lobby though people passed them by as if they did not exist. Tie Ta walk forward with his hand extended until he was forced to stop when he came in contact with the invisible barrier GOD erected to seal them off from the world.
It didn't take long for all of the veterans to become lucid. Most of them were still mad after the last-minute stunt that GOD pulled before Team China had departed from GODs Dimension.
"Boss, did you know that was going to happen?" asked Ouyang Di.
"No. But I should have expected it from him." Tie Ta replied, unpleasantly annoyed.
"What do we do now?" asked Tengyi.
"Ask your team leader," said Tie Ta.
The Team looked to Zhuiyu, and the girl nearly froze. "We need to find weapons. This was a possible arrival location, and since Tengyi and Lingyue were busy, I researched the Los Angeles area. Once I find out exactly where we are, I can find a gun store. American's love their guns, so they sell them everywhere."
The team chuckled with approving smiles.
"Good job, Zhuiyu. However, I found time to do my job," Tengyi spoke lightly while pointing at the wall, "this is the Ritz Carlton Hotel. We're in downtown Los Angeles. I know exactly where we can find weapons."
"Okay, Firearm problem solved. It's light outside, but the world is still functioning, so I'm assuming that the apocalypse starts tonight. Tengyi and Lingyue, who has a storage ring, will retrieve the weapons and ammunition. Yinkong can get us transportation for..."
Zhuiyu looked around raised an eyebrow at the number of newbies. " Yinkong can get us transportation for 21. Lingyue can explain to the newbies and find out what new resources we have to utilize. As soon as we have weapons and transportation, we skip town. Ouyang Di, You read the mission statement."
Tengyi discreetly nodded in approval as he observed Zhuiyu in action. He took mental notes of her body language, tone, a problem-solving skills.
"Legion. 21 man mission, AKA, this going to be hard as fuck." Ouyang Di started, "Mission objective: Protect Jeep and Claire until the messiah is born. The time frame of the mission is unknown. The reward for success is 5500 points each and an A-rank Reward...
We get 1000 points for surviving, half a point for every low angel kill, 500 points for every high angel, and 1000 points for every archangel...
Each character that is saved will earn an additional 50 points. Any questions?" asked Di.
The Team shook their heads, and Wutong said, "nope."
"Okay. Next is the Team Battle. Team North America is already here. Killing a normal player will be rewarded 2000 points and a rank C reward. Killing a player with unlocked genetic constraints will be rewarded 7000 points and a rank B reward. Having a member killed by the other team will deduct 2000 points. The final amount will be rewarded to every remaining player. And killing our own newbie is negative 1000." Ouyang Di finished.
"Okay... so now we wait," said Zhuiyu.
Tie Ta chuckled, "No, we don't." he said, "I pass out the melee weapons that I made. They may be absolutely worthless, but they will be good to have if we run out of bullets."
Yinkong was given a pair of Yorveth styled short swords. Zhuiyu was given a spear. Lingyue was given a katana, and Amhanet received a staff. Amber received a new pair of chakrams. Then Tie Ta tossed Ouyang Di metallic club.
Di inspected it then looked at Tie Ta with questioning eyes.
"It will help you focus your power. I thought it was better than a wand, you know because you can hit things with it," explained Tie Ta.
Di laughed at his Boss, then thanked him for the scepter/club. Tie Ta then pulled out a pair of cestus gloves attached to arm armor with 3 feet blades attached to the elbows.
"I call it Tempest. It's based on the Gantz Hard Suit." Tie Ta spoke to Wutong as he handed over the equipment.
Wutong got all teary-eyed.
"It also has a size adjust enchantment. You can big wolf and still be able to use them," Tie Ta added.
"Thank you, Boss."
Tie Ta finished by tossing Reika a Gantz sword.
"You recreated it," she said, once caught it.
"I did. You might not need to use it with your power. But it's good to have it. " said Tie Ta. He then looks at all of his team, " All of your weapons are made of Uru. It wasn't forged in a star, but by the hottest magical flame that I could conjure. The weapons are inscribed with Enochian enchantments. I hope they work on higher angels."
Time slowly went by after that. The team was anxious to start the mission. And the Newbies were anxious to run away. But both parties settled down after an hour of waiting.
Then another hour passed, and it became obvious that GOD was waiting on something. The most popular assumption was that he was waiting for the apocalypse to start. Team China took the time to learn the newbies a bit more.
There were five men and five women this time. All the men were between age twenty and thirty and were all fit. One of the men was a black guy dressed in a nice suit with an American flag pin on his color.
This caught Reika's attention, and she immediately told Tie Ta that he was on the must survive list. Tie Ta asked why, and Reika said that the real world was on the brink of chaos, and she wanted to know more. She had learned about the state of the world from Yinkong while they were working together in the Dark Universe.
The handsome black man's name is Clark Winston. The current Secretary of State for the United States of America. At this point, Tie Ta was also interested because Clark isn't the Secretary of State that he remembered or even heard of. So, a world on the brink and a nobody official with a job that should have been given to a somebody.
Next was a thirty-year-old man who seemed like a regular worker. A man with glasses about twenty-seven, a skinny young man about twenty-four, and a muscular young man with dyed hair about twenty-one.
As to the women, one was a twenty-one-year-old with her eyes closed and a long silky ponytail that touched her legs. Tie Ta, and the team could feel a small psionic force coming from her. Though it was faint, it was just enough for Team China to pick up on.
Her name is Zhu Wen, a blind woman who can see imminent death circling people. The Newbies had a hard time believing it, by the veterans were fascinated by her skill.
"We should evolve her visual prowess. She might see more than just imminent death," said Wutong.
"I was thinking the same." Tie Ta replied.
"Byakugan." said Di, " it gives her 360 vision, she can see internal pathways, and it's not too intense. Her current abilities might merge well with it."
"Hmm, Ouyang Di, she is your charge in this mission. Bring her home alive," ordered Tie Ta.
"Yes, Boss."
"How about...Captain?" asked Tie Ta, "Boss is just too gangster. But Shinigami Captains are still gangsters with a respectable title."
Wutong and Di chuckled. The two men had always found themselves laughing at Tie Ta's random thoughts. It was a quirk of his genius that they had all come to be amused by.
"Alright, Captain," said Ouyang Di. He then walked over to Zhu Wen and introduced himself.
Next was an eighteen-year-old girl with a thick layer of foundation and a pair of eyes pleasantly coated with dark eyeshadow named Qiqi. Her hair was also dyed yellow, and she was a thug.
"Lingyue, Qiqi is all yours," said Tie Ta.
"Yes, Captain," she replied, then pulled Qiqi off to the side.
Next was a twenty-seven-year-old in an office lady suit named Huang Lilin. She worked as a journalist: half editor, half freelancer.
"Tengyi, take care of Lilin"
"Yes, Captin."
The last two women looked to be identical Japanese twins in their late twenties dressed in colorful Yukatas. Hana and Fuka are their names. Tie Ta could smell killers on the seemingly innocent twins.
All five of them looked above average. Naturally, the men couldn't keep their eyes off of them.
Though, Tengyi and Wutong had their eyes at the ceiling. Yinkong and Lingyue were two dangerous women that could bring the building down on top of their men if they wanted to.
"Yinkong, The twins belong to you," said Tie Ta.
"What about us?!" the boy with dyed hair asked Tie Ta.
"What about you? Stick close and try not to die. And if you survive, maybe, just maybe, we can turn shit to gold. Zhuiyu! the team is yours, again."
"Yes, Captain," she replied.
---------------------
When the sun went down, the barrier fell, and Zhuiyu gave her first order, "Scatter!"
Team China blipped away to handle their jobs. The city was now in chaos as lesser angels fell from heaven into the bodies of the weakest-willed people.
Atop of the hotel roof, Team China and a few newbies looked down at the burning city as they waited for Lingyue, Tengyi, and their charges to return with weapons. A moment later, Yinkong and the twins arrived in front of the hotel with four SUVs when Zhu Wen started screaming as she looked at the boy with dyed hair and the man with glasses.
"Hey!" Ouyang Di grabbed her firmly by the shoulders, "Zhu Wen! Snap out of it."
"Di!" Zhuiyu called out.
Ouyang Di turned around and saw two of the newbies' heads shaking at breakneck speed. Their bodies vibrated so much it looked like they were hovering an inch off of the ground. The sight was unnerving.
"This shit is so much creepy in person," Heng whispered as he knocked an arrow.
"Save it," ordered Zhuiyu.
The moment the two men abruptly froze with pitch-black eyes and a mouth full of little sharp teeth, Team China knew that the newbies were gone.
Zhuiyu twisted her spear, and a tendril of water condense near its tip. She swung her spear, but Tie Ta stopped her killing blow with a finger. He then blew the two possessed newbies off the roof.
As the newbies fell, they regained control over their bodies and defied gravity when they hurled themselves into the hotel through a window.
"Why did you stop me?!" asked Zuiyu.
"In this world exists a book. A book that exorcises angels. It's tattooed on Michael's body, and it's later transferred to Jeep. Which means..."
"We can take it," said Zhuiyu.
"Yes." said Tie Ta, "It also means that newbies are still alive. If you kill them..."
"Negative 1000 points." Zhuiyu shivered at the thought of her points falling in the negatives. Negative points at the end of a mission meant death.
"That's the last time I help you." said Tie Ta, " The vehicles are here. Let's move."
When the team got to the ground floor, Everyone was impressed with Yinkong's new skill, Nether Clone. One clone with 100 percent of Yinkong's power. With this clone, she was able to drive the fourth vehicle.
As the team started to load up, Tie Ta and Reika looked down the block to see Lingyue and Tengyi carrying their charges as they fleed from a horde of possessed maniacs.
Pah!
A hotel window shattered as the possessed newbies jumped Di and Clark Winston.
"Tsk, these things are every fucking where." Tie Ta sneered. "Reika. With me. "
Ouyang Di incinerated a newbie. He then groaned as he looked at his watch and saw -200 points. Ahmanet then moved and crushed the skull of the second possessed newbie. Without looking at her watch, she bent down and began to heal Clark's neck. The possessed newbie had managed to slit Clark's throat.
Meanwhile, Reika and Tie Ta were floating through the streets as Lingyue and Tengyi sped by them.
"There are still humans down there," said Reika as she looked upon the chaos of humans fighting the possessed.
"It has to be done. We can take a few bodies for food if that makes you feel better," said Tie Ta.
"It would make me feel better. Wasting food always puts me in a bad mood." Reika spoke with a dangerous smirk that Tie Ta adored and others feared.
The couple extend their right hands, and the madness of the city seemed to slow down. Then an immeasurable psionic force swept everything away like an apocalyptic tidal wave.
From street trash to skyrises, everything was crushed and swept away.
"So that's what happens when they combine their powers and let loose," Heng spoke with a terrified expression as he and the team looked at what used to be half of downtown Los Angels.
"They haven't even begone to let loose," said Lingyue. "That's just the Captain making memories with his woman."
Lingyue's words caused the team to shiver. When the coupled landed on the ground, he whispered to Ahamnet, and the three lovers took to the sky.
