Day MLXIV, part I

I didn't sleep at all. I only returned to my room briefly before the sunrise, and then waited for Ki'rai to wake up.

- We are not going to hunt today - I informed her as soon as she opened her eyes.

This made her abruptly get on her feet.

- Why? - she asked, wiping her eyes with her hands.

- I need to take care of something.

- I'll go with you then.

- No. I need to go alone.

- Why? - she twisted her head to the side.

- It's... Personal. I need to go alone. I want to go alone.

- Ok.

- How about you spend your day with Aisha?

She opened her eyes widely, just like her mouth, and then quickly nodded.

- Just don't eat too much. Your stomach will hurt again.

- I'm an adult. I know what to do and what to not do - she pouted.

- I'm just saying.

- I'll leave you some cookies.

- Thanks. Come, let's wash up, and eat something that is not sweet.
