LOCATION HUNTING

When Veer and Anshu came about Arjun's plan they were very happy for him. I mean why wouldn't they be happy. After seeing both Veer's and Anshu's reactions Arjun's has gained little more confidence and he decided to tell dad as soon as possible. Because he didn't want dad to feel that he he inforrmed him in the last moment. I mean it's important that Dad should be given prior notice about his plan.

He immediately called dad, because he would be in office by now. You know sometimes the difference in time zone really helps. Arjun was pretty nervous about dad's reaction, but when he told Dad everything, he just said, "I know you'll do wonders. All the best for your new start. I'll come and meet you people very soon. By then think how you want to take it forward and then we'll see what to do." I mean I was shocked, when dad was all okay about Arjun leaving the company and starting a new business. I know dad wouldn't stop Arjun because he always respects others decisions, but I thought maybe he'll atleast ask Arjun to once rethink his decision or maybe like wait for a few months more. But nothing has happened, he just said to plan how to start and let him know when he comes here. Maybe that's because he now treats Arjun same as Veer. Anyway I'm happy for Arjun, but I'm little scared that how I'm going to handle later on when he leaves. But right now, I don't want to think anything else. I just want to be happy for Arjun.

We slept very late that night. Next day we didn't really want to wake up but we had to, because we all have to show up at our work places. We decided to meet evening at Anshu's place, so we can discuss with Vinod uncle too and he can give ideas.

Evening when Arjun shared his idea of opening restaurant, Vinod uncle was too excited. Even aunty was also very happy and excited.

Arjun said, "I want to start an Indian restaurant, but I don't know too many Indian recipes. Aunty I need your help to set the menu." For which aunty said, "Yeah, definetely. We'll all help you, you don't worry about anything. You just tell us, how you want to do and what all do you want to do. Then we can all figure it out together."

Then Vinod uncle said, "As you're saying you want to start an Indian restaurant, we can put the authentic dishes of all states in India. Like Punjabis prefer Chole bature, butter chicken, Bengalis prefer aloo posto, muri ghonto, rasagulla, south indians prefer sambar rice. Specially Hyderbadi Dum biryani. Like this we have so many dishes, let's put them all in our menu."

Then Veer said, "How about Thali. I mean North-Indian thali, South Indian thali, Gujrathi thali etc we can arrange two or three platters also right." I said it's a good idea. Then Arjun said, "I have an idea. See we all have that one special dish, which we can cook very well. We can say that as our signature dish. I want to add our signature dishes to the menu in a special category as our Restuarant special dishes. My mom used to make the best chicken curry, it's her special recipe and I've learnt it from her. Likewise Veer also makes the best Pasta. I'm sure aunty must also have a special dish."

Anshu said, "Mom makes the best palak paneer. And dad makes the best Aloo poha." Arjun smiled and said, "See, we can add them as our signature dishes."

We discussed some more time and then decided a menu roughly. Know we need to find location to set up the restaurant. Then after finalizing the location, we can plan the budget. Since tomorrow is weekend, we decided to split in 2 groups and visit locations and then if we like any location we can all revisit. Vinod uncle and Arjun has said to their men to look for the locations. Then we had dinner in their house itself.

Next day, we got ready soon and asked Arjun to come home for breakfast. After finishing breakfast, me and Arjun went to look some locations which his men suggested him. Veer went to Anshu's house to pick her, and they both will go and see the locations suggested by Vinod uncle's men.

We saw so many locations, but we did not like any of them. Then at the end of day 2 of location hunting, we saw a location. It was very beautiful and both me and Arjun liked it the very first instant of looking it. We called up Veer and Anshu too. They also liked the location. I said some of ideas, of how we can design the interiors. It was like the perfect place for the restaurant. We informed Vinod uncle about the location. He said he'll go visit tomorrow after the lunch hours and then we can decide. But we're sure that uncle will also like the place. After two days of location hunting, we finally found a place and we're very happy that we found it. Two days efforts are all worth it. We decided to eat outside in a nice restaurant and then go back. Even during our dinner we were only discussing about the location. How we can design and renovate. Like Arjun promised, he gave me the responsibility of designing the interiors. Finally we're done with the first step. Within this 1 week, we need to roughly estimate the budget. So that when dad will come here, he'll have a basic idea of how he wants to do.

Next day, even Vinod uncle went to the location and saw the location. Even he also liked it, then we got to know that the location belongs to one of his clients. So, now it'll be even more easy to finalize the location. As soon as Vinod uncle told me this, I ran to Arjun's cabin to share the news. Everyone were shocked seeing me running like a crazy which I am anyway.
