CONFUSING FEELINGS

I ran to Arjun's cabin to share the news immediately. Because I know he'll be very happy after hearing me and I want to see happiness on his face. Everyone were shocked after seeing me running like a crazy, but I'm least bothered because I know I'm crazy anyway. I entered Arjun's cabin even without knocking the door. When I reached his cabin he was on a call which probably might be important because the irritation on his face for not knocking the door clearly tells that. So, I waited for him to complete the call. After what felt like eternity, atleast for me, he cut the call and looked at me as if asking me to explain why I barged into his cabin without permission. I tried to put a puppy face but failed miserably which I got to know by his glaring. So, I said "Arjun I came to share a very good news and you're busy either with the call or glaring at me."

He said, "And what is that so called good news that you wanted to share which made you barge into my cabin without permission." Now, I was angry. I said, "I came to tell you about the location which we finalized yesterday. But looks like you're not intrested in listening. Fine by me" and left his cabin. And like expected, he was anxious now and he's calling me repeatedly but I didn't even turn back. Having no other option he came behind me to my cabin in tow.

As soon as we reached the cabin, he shut the door by kicking it with his leg and pulled me towards him. As I wasn't expecting it, I crashed on his hard chest. I was busy inhaling his musk cologne untill he called me. I came into senses and was about to move back but he didn't let me. Instead he held my chin and made me look at him, and then he asked, "Sorry, but now will you please tell me what you wanted to say earlier?" I said, "Vinod uncle has just visited the site and even he said that the location is perfect for you start a restuarant over there and the best part is that the location belongs to one of his clients and it'll be very easy for us to buy that place." He immediately lifted me and twirled me in air saying, "That's a great news Dhrithi." He put me down and hugged me tightly and said, "Thankyou" and then pecked on my right cheek. He was so happy to realize that he actually kissed me, I mean it's just a peck. But I let it go because I know he's happy and also he's my friend, so there's nothing wrong. Even Veer kisses me, but this one felt different. I had goose bumps all over my body, I felt butterflies flying inside my stomach. I don't know why I felt it that way, but I let it go. Seeing me lost in my thoughts, Arjun shaked me a little and said, "Where are you Dhrithi?" I sighed and said nothing. He said that he'll take me out for lunch as he's so happy. Then he left to his cabin as he received another call.

Later we went out for lunch and then the whole day passed and I went home as I was very tired. Reaching home, I immediately slumped onto the sofa. After few minutes I saw a hand handing me coffee. I thought it was Annie auntie who bought me coffee but it was Veer. I smiled at him and slowly side hugged him and took the coffe mug from his hand. After sipping his coffe his asked me if I was tired, I smiled and said a little bit. Then we continued drinking coffee. Suddenly he asked me, "What's bothering you Misti?" This man knows me too well, I sighed and said him the whole situation which happened in my cabin. After hearing me, he said "You didn't like that he kissed you or you didn't like that you felt different and had goosebumps."

I said, "I don't know Veer. I mean I know he kissed me out of happiness and it's not even a proper kiss. It's just a peck. He kissed me like a friend, but I felt it different. I shouldn't be feeling the other way right? Isn't it wrong?" Veer said, "Misti if you felt different, or if you felt something for him at that moment, then it's nothing wrong. Maybe you've started liking him, maybe your heart treats him like more than a friend. You never know. You don't judge your feelings, just let it go with flow. And then see where it takes you."

I said, "But how am I supposed to feel like that for Arjun. It's not even two months since my marriage broke with Nikhil. I was in love with him, I was in relation with him for two years. And here I'm, started having feelings for Arjun who treats me like his good friend." Veer said, "Misti you was in love with Nikhil. You were in a relationship but not anymore. And two months is long enough for you to move on. If not, then maybe you wasn't actually in love with him. Maybe it was your infactuation which got faded away when you got to know about him."

I said, "Then even my feelings for Arjun can be infactuation. May be even these feelings get faded away slowly. And worst, what if Arjun doesn't feel for me the way I started feeling for him. I don't know Veer, I'm scared."

Veer replied, "Misti calm down. Don't get so worked up. I'm not saying that you started liking Arjun or your love for Nikhil was Infactuation. I'm using maybe which it can be true or false. All I'm saying is for you to relax and let the things be the way they are. If any day, you realize your feelings come to me. Why coming to me, just go and tell him. And then let's see what happens. If your relation ended badly doesn't mean that every relation will end in the same way. Are you scared because you might get hurt?" and I nodded my head as yes.

Veer replied, "See Misti, it's all destiny. If you're destined to be with Arjun, then come what may, you finally be with Arjun. Maybe that's the reason behind your broken knowledge. If not with Arjun, you'll be destined to someone and you'll meet him one day. If you get scared like this and don't give another chance to your heart. How will you find your special someone? If you get scared of a heart break and lock yourself in a shell, you'll never find your true love. Just look at me, all these years I've never looked at any girl. Even you tried to play cupid and set a girl for me. But when I came for you, I found my love. Who would have thought that I'd meet the love of my life this way. Just think about it and then decide. But don't get so worked up. Whatever it is we'll deal together."
