Chapter 5

I woke up in my bedroom with the warm winter sun shining brightly in my face. Rubbing the sleepiness out of my eyes I slide out of bed. Sitting at my desk I open it looking for my planner. A piece of paper falls out. Realizing I have never seen this piece of paper before I pick it up. It was the paper from before. It was a warning about a wish.

"A wish what wish" I say trying to think, and then it struck me. "Shiru" I say, getting to my feet and looking around for Ichigo. I didn't see her anywhere, as I started to panic. Quickly looking at the clock it was eight. Then if Shiru was still here he would probably be outside right now like usual shoveling his uncle's sidewalk. So quickly throwing on some clothes, not even grabbing my coat I ran outside running up to Shiru's home. No one was there. It was all a dream then. I start to cry. Shiru was gone. Remembering last night, I sob.

"Riena you should be at home" I hear Shiru say behind me. Turning around I see Shiru, I run to him and hug him.

"Shiru I thought you were gone" I say crying into Shiru's coat as Shiru comforted me.

"Don't worry I'm not leaving any time soon" Shiru says comforting me with his warm embrace. Putting his hand up he touches my forehead. "Looks like you still have a bit of a fever, let's get you back home before it gets worse" Shiru says, picking me up. "Also you don't have shoes on".

"What" I say looking at my feet and sure enough I didn't have shoes on, and my feet were freezing. "Oops I must have been in a hurry" I say laughing as I wiped my tears away. Shiru carried me home.

"It must have been a bad dream," I tell Shiru, trying to explain why I was outside crying.

"Don't worry i'm here now," Shiru says, hugging me tighter. In my room I found Ichigo sleeping on my pillow again and that note laying on the food but this time it was different. Picking it up, it read. Your wish will last until new years eve, unless true loves kiss. After reading it outloud to myself it turns to glittery snow and crumbles out of my hand. Smiling I throw the rest of the sparkly snow up into the air, watching it fall around me. Smiling to myself I close my eyes knowing everything is going to be okay.
