Once Lacey opened the front door, the first thing she saw when she looked up was a shirtless Darin. Without giving it a thought, a squeal escaped her mouth as she ran to him and jumped into his arms. Laughing, he made sure her feet had touched the floor before he stepped back. "You are my hero!"
"A little lower Lacey. Sadey's asleep."
"I don't care. That was awesome. Did you really plan all of that?"
"No."
"Really? I don't even know what to say to that." He nodded. She wrapped her hands round him again. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." She laughed.
"Sure. Glad you enjoyed yourself. "
"I so did. Ok so I talked to mom. We've got the green light to stay at dad's till Sunday. We just need to get everything else sorted and done."
"Darin?" They both heard a feminine voice call out.
"Cool." He gripped Lacey by her shoulders, forced her to back him and pushed her lightly out of the front hallway.
Lacey giggled. "I'll just take what I can over to dad's house."
