They say love just happens unexpectedly,  when it hits you hard, you either lose yourself to it or  you control it. 

There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.

Love can be an overwhelming feeling and can also be an element of destruction.... 

The question is "How would she handle falling in love?" 

She is a girl who has never fallen in love but believed in it, she just didn't know if she'll ever find love, if she'll lose herself to love or control it.

Until she meets her longtime ex best friend  once again in the foreign land of Manitoba 

He was a changed person compared to before, he became selfish, arrogant and an attractive playboy. 

He makes mistakes, he is out of control and at times hard to handle. But if she can't handle him at his worst, then she sure as hell don't deserve him at his best.

A Road to Love

I woke up as early as 7am to get ready, ordered breakfast and left by 8:30am, I got there 15 minutes later and I realized it was a coffee shop, so I just chilled till Mrs Miller showed up 


My phone rang showing Mrs Miller's name on the screen, I picked up. "Hello, I'm already here" I said 


"Oh okay, I'm here too, what are you wearing so I can identify you " 


I stood up and told her my outfit, so she could easily find me, which she did. I waved at her and she smiled making her way towards me 


"Hi you must be Miss Nina Ishmael" I smiled at her and nodded "Please call me Nina" 


She smiled and replied "Nice to meet you, call me Hannah please" we shook hands and sat down and we made small talk before she started; 


"I'm glad you're beginning to like Manitoba, so back to the apartment, do you want to live alone or you don't mind sharing, like I mean having a roommate or housemate? Cause most International students prefers sharing, making the cost affordable for them, so what's your decision? " 


"Oh the roommate part is cool with me, I just hope I don't get to share a bathroom, apart from that, I'm good with sharing " I said 


"Alright then, the bathroom thingy might be a little problem cause it will mean a higher price, but let's hope we find one you can afford, are you gender selective, I mean do you have a specific gender you prefer sharing with? " she asked 


"Actually it depends on if I have no choice, but I'll prefer a female housemate, thank you " 


"Ok let's go check out the places I have for you " she said 


We checked out four places, but they either had one or two problems I couldn't cope with even if I tried to, so here we are in the last apartment for today which was located at Wolseley and isn't far from my university. 


The exterior was nice and the interior was very organized, she showed me around, it was a two bedroom apartment with a bathroom, a small living room and average sized kitchen 


.... I guess I'll have to just share a bathroom at last, I thought to myself, but I loved it. 


Hannah already saw the look of excitement on my face, she smiled and said "I see you love it" 


I laughed "Yes it's really nice, I see someone stays here already?"I asked 


"Yes actually, he's a guy, he should be here soon" she said and checked her wrist watch 


"Ooh" I said feeling a little sad which she noticed 


"I assure you Nina, he's a guy with great personalities, two of his previous housemates said good things about him and he's so polite and respectful, no harm will come to you, if you ever have any issues with him, you can tell me and I will find you a suitable apartment, but if you still want to leave, no problem, I'll look for more places for you" 


I chuckled "I'll take you up on that offer, but I don't want to stress you and I'm tired already, I'll take it" 


"Ok dear, I'm glad, let's talk price and how you need to decorate your own space" she replied. 


My heart skipped twice cause I didn't want to hear the price.... oh so you don't wanna hear the price stupid, but you were being picky with places', my subconscious hit, I just gave Hannah a sheepish smile. 


We were about leaving when the door opened and I never expected who came in through the door, I froze looking so shocked and my mouth parted open in utter surprise.......
