Where am I?

The Vacation ended quickly, we just spent time traveling and having fun together. We went to Batangas, Bataan, Pangasinan, and we even got to Caticlan because of Marcus' Dad. I really had fun during the vacation. I groaned when I remembered it was our first day Today. But as a Grade 9 student.

I lazily stood up and took my towel, and went to the bathroom. I felt the cold water in my skin, I quickly covered my body with soap, to lessen the coldness of the water, but the longer it takes the more I feel cold.

When I got done, I quickly took my bathrobe and put my towel in my wet hair. I quickly wore my undergarments and my uniform. I blow-dry my hair before styling it. I usually don't put lip tint on my lips because it's already reddish, but now I want to. I put some lip tint on my cupid bow lips and curled my thick lashes. I looked at myself in the mirror, I tilted my head, I realized that my jaw is getting sharper.

I also looked at my body, my uniform slightly hugging my body. So its curvature is more visible. I honestly look like a woman right now, I'm just 15 and people always think that I'm 18. Or even more than that. But I'm always wondering, do I act like a woman?

I don't want to act mature if I'm not.

But I feel like I'm growing, the way I think is really different now. The way I value things, or even people. When I was in grade 6, Elementary, I always sought attention. I used to be in a big group of friends, but I always feel left out despite that. That's why I only have a few friends right now.

I always have trust issues when it comes to having friends. Sabrina, my best friend, was not in the plan to be friends with her. Sabrina has always been a cold person, she was always rejected that's why. When we met in Grade 7, we were partners for our presentation, we used to talk a lot, and eventually, we found out that we really relate to each other. We had a not-so-good experience when we're elementary school. I'm glad that I really cut off those toxic people.

I'm really grateful for Sabrina, and I don't know what I should do if we became strangers. That's impossible, though.

I continued fixing myself and put on some perfume before going downstairs.

I smiled bitterly, the house is still the same. The house is peaceful but the people inside it aren't. We never had peace of mind inside this house. I'm also used to hearing them fight, sometimes I just go out so I don't hear anything. I'm already used to it but I can't deny that I'm already tired.

There was no one so I left.

First day. I remember last year, the first time I saw my boyfriend.

"Good morning, love. How are you?" Travis put his arms around mine.

"I'm so lazy this morning, you?"

"I'm always lazy, though..." He chuckled. I noticed the increase in his voice, we've not seen each other for 3 weeks, that's why I just noticed by now. I heard him on the phone but I just confirmed it by now.

"I missed you..."

"I missed you, too."

Sabrina is with Levi this morning, but I haven't seen them on campus. Maybe they eat outside.

I texted her before heading to the classroom.

Before class started, Sab had already arrived.

We didn't all introduce ourselves because almost all of us were already classmates last year. I observed the whole room, they are still the same faces. We are familiar with each other and I have talked to almost everyone.

Almost everyone complained when the teacher announced that we will have a group presentation.

"Ms. Vanedestine, you're the leader of Group 1." I nodded and smiled politely. Travis, Sabrina, and Marcus have different groups. This is not the first time we have different groups, but it's more fun to be with them.

The class ended quickly on its first day. I’ve met my groups and we decided that we should start doing the presentation later.

Travis already sent me home, he will also meet his groupmates later.

6:30 is our call time and it’s already 5:40, I quickly took a shower because it was a 30 -minute drive to Riley’s house. I just wore black leggings and a hoodie. I also bring my laptop with me.

“Let’s go, Dad…” He nodded and started maneuvering the car. “I’ll fetch you later, just call or text me.” He reminded me. I just nodded. When we arrived I quickly said goodbye to him.

“Hi!” Riley said, welcoming us to their house. “Hi! Are they here already?” I asked her.

She just nodded. I felt a bit shy because I’m the last one who came. “Omg! Don’t worry, you’re not late! You’re just in time!” She assured me. “I’m sorry!”

“No, no! It’s okay… Let’s go?” I just smiled and went with her inside. “Hi, Briana!” The girl said with a chinky eyes. It’s Kinsley, I guess. “Kinsley?” I asked for confirmation. She just excitedly nodded. “Hi, Kinsley…” I waved my hand. Kelly and Miranda smiled and waved their hands. I just did the same thing.

“Should we start?” Riley asked and we just all agreed.

We started searching about our topic, all of us gave an example that comes to our head. We should not just rely on the internet. We took almost 6 hours to gather ideas. We still haven’t done the presentation because we also need to do proofreading before doing the presentation.

It’s already midnight and I didn't expect it would take us this long.

After 7 hours, we’re already finished.

“Gosh, my back hurts!” We all laughed because our back literally hurts!

We just ate ramen before finally going home. Riley’s parents insisted on sending us home but we all didn’t agree because we will all be fetched by our parents. I already texted Dad but he has no response.

“Thank you so much!” Kelly said when her service already came. “Thank You!” She told us again while waving our hands.

“Do you know Damian?” My brows furrowed a bit, why is Miranda so curious?

“Yes?” I answered unsurely. That Grade 11 guy? Oh, he's in grade 12 now.

“The grade 12 man,” I nodded as a confirmation.

“He has fallen for you…’ My forehead furrowed.

“OMG! That’s true!” Riley said excitedly.

“Okay… thanks?” They both laughed out loud. What? What should I do?

“I felt sad for him,” Miranda pouted her lips. “Why?” I asked in curiosity. “He always falls for someone who is already in a relationship,” Well, that’s really sad. You already know that you don’t have a chance with that person.

“Do you like him?” Riley asked. Miranda just shook her head. “I’m in the same situation with him,” I also feel sad for her. “Wait for the right time, as well as the right person…” I smiled at her. She hugged me quickly, “I would probably wait for the love I deserve.” Riley also joined in hugging me. I hugged them back.

Miranda also said goodbye to us when her Mom came to fetch her. I was about to call my Dad but I found out that I don’t have a load to contact him.

“You can use my phone…” Riley said when she knew that I don’t have a load anymore. She went upstairs to get her phone. I was about to turn around but I feel someone covered a handkerchief covering my nose.

I couldn't explain the smell and it slowly darkened my vision.

“H-Help—” I still managed to speak but it’s almost a whisper.

Who are you? Where am I?

My vision gradually rotated until it completely darkened.
