"Yuri Akihiko." A static voice resonated in the college halls, making every student standstill and begin looking for the black-haired boy, “Please come to the examination room immediately.”
The mentioned boy tore his hazel eyes from the marble floor and held his books tighter to his chest as he whipped his head left, seeing his best friend already staring at him.
"Why are they calling me to the examination hall?" he mumbled as the pair now walked back towards the classrooms they just came from.
"You forgot didn't you?" Aaliyah deadpanned, her brown curly hair bouncing as she shook her head left and right.
"Forgot what?" Yuri pouted.
"Today's the Omega Medical Test!" She shouted, making the younger flinch and sheepishly smile at her.
He chuckled before gulping and starting to run towards the lecture hall, ignoring his best friend's calls as he shoved and pushed anyone that came his way, not forgetting to utter apologies as he passed the crowded halls.
He slammed the door open, making everyone turn their head towards the commotion. He panted a small 'sorry' before walking towards the doctors huddled in the front of the room.
He faked coughed to get their attention and shined his box-shaped smile before bowing his head and introducing himself, "Yuri Akihiko." He introduced, "I was called here for the omega examinations?”
"You're a male?" A woman who wore glasses, a tightened ponytail and looked as if she were in her late 30's asked. Her scent filling his nose with the smell of old books and libraries, she was a beta.
The black-haired male nervously chuckled and scratched the back of his neck, "Uh yea, is there a problem?" He retorted, immediately regretting his decision when a young-looking ginger male glared at him.
The woman scoffed before shaking her head no and muttering something under her breath, making Yuri pout when he was unable to catch what she had said.
She picked up a clipboard and grabbed his arm harshly, her nails digging in his pastel blue hoodie.
She dragged him to a stadiometer and made him remove his chunky tennis shoes before he stepped on the metal platform and faced the wall as she grabbed the metal bar and pulled it over his head only to have it rest on top his crown as she noted the numbers down.
Yuri peeked at the numbers she was writing down and smile when he saw she had written ' 5’9 '.
"Am I actually that tall?" He questioned with widened eyes, making the doctor look up from her glasses and furrow her eyebrows.
"What are you talking about?" She hissed, "That's quite short for a male."
Yuri shrugged, "But I am an omega," He stated, "That's how I'm supposed to be."
The woman snorted while grabbing the boy's arms and dragging him to a place with a single and a table that had some boxes and medical equipment.
She shoved Yuri onto the chair, making him yelp and almost fall on the floor before stumbling back onto his feet with a cloud of light pink dust dancing on his cheeks as he watched the doctor strut to behind the table as if she just didn't push someone rudely.
Suddenly he was reminded of how he had also pushed the other students while rushing to come here, making him pout as he pondered why he did that and not calmly asked them to give him the way.
"Stop pouting," The doctor pulled him out of his thoughts as she went through some of the boxes on the table., "it makes you look ugly."
"Oh," The small male muttered as he stared at the hands on his lap, "C-can I ask why?"
The doctor stopped her movements and slowly closed her eyes before taking a loud and deep breath, making the black-haired male nervous with every second that passed.
She suddenly opened her eyes and Yuri's breath got stuck in his throat when he saw that her once brown eyes were now shining with green and staring directly at him.
She snarled loudly making nearby people stare at the interacting duo.
"What makes a measly male omega like you think they can talk to a beta like that? "She growled making Yuri and the other omegas whimper in submission from the voice and vibe coming from her.
"Y-yes Ma'am" He croaked, immediately regretting his decision for the second time.
"Yes what?" She gowled once again.
"I-I won't speak u-until told to." He sobbed out, tears now streaming down his slight tan skin.
The doctor smirked before turning her eyes back to normal and rummaging through the boxes once again, leaving the boy to cry as strangers stared at the curious boy with pity before resuming to their own business.
Yuri stared at his hands and fiddled with the strings of his ripped blue jeans before he saw the doctor standing in front of him with a needle in her hand.
He unconsciously pulled on the hoodie's sleeves, giving him sweater paws as he stared at her expectantly.
She seemed to have caught as to why the boy was staring at and smirked before harshly grabbing the boy's left arm for the third time.
As Yuri saw the doctor pull up his sleeves, he started freaking out, causing him to start sweating and shaking.
Just as the doctor was about to stick the needle in, the same doctor that had glared at him before had been passing by spoke up,
"She's going to be doing a blood test to see if you haven't been sleeping around or have any genetic diseases." he monotoned.
"T-thank you," Yuri sputtered out.
The doctor just nodded and went on his way, leaving a slightly better Yuri and an agitated doctor once again.
Suddenly, Yuri felt a sharp prick on his elbow pit, causing him to whip his head towards the discomfort and look up at the doctor who just continued doing her work.
She pulled the syringe's plunger, filling the barrel with blood and Yuri flinching at the sight of his blood.
Soon she removed the syringe and walked and gave it to a nearby nurse before coming back with an ugly coloured black bandage, making Yuri slightly whine before his eyes spotted the pastel-coloured bandages on the table next to him.
So just at the doctor was about to open the packet, he interrupted her, "I-I know you said to not s-speak until told to," he blurted, "But uh can I please get those bandaids instead?"
The doctor looked at him weirdly before grabbing the pastel pink bandaid and shoving the bandaid right in front of him, making Yuri smile in happiness.
He opened the packet and placed the sticky item on his elbow pit and was about to throw the remains away when he saw the doctor reaching for his arm, he abruptly stood up, causing the chair to screech against the tiled floor.
He sheepishly smiled to himself as he looked at the chair behind before looking back at the doctor only to find out she had already started walking towards a different section of the examination hall.
He went on the tips of his feet and looked for the auburn ponytailed woman in the swarm of heads in the room and smiled widely when he saw the woman was at some other station.
He immediately jumped on the spot before jogging to the other side of the hall, but this time he was politely asking the people to give way, unlike this morning where he was pushing and shoving instead.
He went up to the station and tapped the doctor's shoulder, only to have her grunt in response while she grabbed the boy's arm for the nth time and placed him on a stool and told him to stay still.
He nodded mindlessly and kept quiet while he secretly glanced at the doctor who was writing something on her clipboard a few feet away.
After five long boring minutes of waiting, the doctor came again and stood in front of the black-haired boy with her hands on her hips as she loudly sighed causing Yuri to start shifting on his seat.
"Your blood results came out." She droned, making Yuri sweat in anticipation.
He was already overthinking he had some weird genetic disease that was going to make paralyzed by the age 35.
"Is it b-bad?" He voiced out, making the auburn-haired doctor start laughing and wipe her dramatic fake tears off of her eyes.
"Darling the look on your face reminds me of a little wolf going through his transition without even knowing he is going through one," She hollered making passersby look at them weirdly for the second time.
"I do not look like that," Yuri huffed playfully while he crossed his arms on his chest.
He was happy thinking that he made at least made the doctor laugh, even though she might be laughing at him.
Suddenly the doctor abruptly stopped laughing, making Yuri unhook his arms from his chest and slouch on the stool he was sitting on.
"Listen here you atypical omega," The doctor mocked, "it's bad enough you're a male omega, don't make a beta like me agitated or do I have to show you your place?"
Yuri gulped and shook his head before resuming to stare at his hands once again.
he heard the doctor grumble something but he didn't dare look up from his lap.
"look up," he heard the doctor command and he did.
Yuri's eyebrows rose in curiosity when he saw there was a camera in the doctor's hands.
She had seemed to catch up on the look of confusion "We have to take headshots."
The boy nodded and looked directly at the camera before shining his box smile and slightly scrunching his eyes, making them hide behind his lids when doing so.
The woman scoffed but clicked the boy's picture nonetheless before grabbing the boy's arm once again and dragging him to different stations for the next hour.
By the time they were done, Yuri was already yawning from exhaustion and dragging his feet outside the hallway where he almost face planted on the floor when he felt someone jump on his back.
Turning around he saw his best friend Aaliyah grinning from ear to ear, "Well?" She singsonged, "How was it?"
Yuri deadpanned before mustering on the biggest fake smile, "I don't wanna talk about it." He gritted out.
Aaliyah laughed out loud and was about to say something when they bumped into someone causing all three of them on the floor.
