Chapter VII

I was sitting on the swings where they were played the night before, swinging slowly, wrapped in the frost of that snowy morning. Fog covered most of the park so he couldn't see very far. I closed my eyes and let myself be hugged by the cold, freezing my thoughts, relaxing.

—That schoolgirl outfit looks good on you —I heard a familiar voice say.

I opened my eyes violently, for a second I thought it was an illusion, I blinked several times to verify that what I was seeing was true, and it was. It was him, dressed in a gray turtleneck sweater and bundled up in a long black jacket, his curly reddish hair was adorned with little snowflakes and his always loving smile made tears fall from my eyes. I got up quickly and ran towards him, hugging him firmly, he wrapped me in his arms and buried my face in his chest, feeling his sweet aroma. I wept inconsolably and he did not hesitate to comfort me. As I calmed down, we sat down on the swings, side by side.
