Chapter VI

I woke up to the alarm on the phone, which I quickly turned off so as not to wake the children. It was six in the morning, I got up very careful not to move them too much (which was a tough task since they were clinging to me). I bathed in hot water, as it was freezing that morning, and dressed in my school uniform. Before I left, I wrapped the twins warm with the blankets. I went down to the kitchen and noticed that no one had gotten up yet, so I put the coffee pot (I don't know how) and toasted several slices of bread, the amount I thought was fair for everyone, I put the cups on the table along with the toast, cereals for the children, and jams that I found in the refrigerator.

I went upstairs again to check on the baby, and as I thought, she was awake with her gaze fixed on the ceiling. I took her in my arms, put a one-piece coat on her (which was like a stuffed animal) and carried her into the kitchen.
