Something Bad Is Coming

Thea’s point of view-

As soon as Kiernan’s Uber leaves, I find myself wrapping my arms around myself. Suddenly, it feels like someone is watching. Shuddering, I walk over inside as quickly as I can. But that feeling of being watched doesn’t go away.

My phone vibrates again with a mocking text- What? You won’t thank me for wishing you, sweetheart? Do you want a gift? It should reach your house in a minute or so. Hope you like it.

With shaking hands I block this number as well, like the other numbers. Just then the bell rings and I run downstairs quickly.

“Oh yes, thank you.” I hear my dad as he walks over to me with a parcel box in his hand. With a smile I took the parcel and walked over to my room. Don’t scream and don’t cry- it might be just from Lucy and Tobias.

Unwrapping the box I see the crumbled notes that I had thrown away in the dustbin along with a framed picture of me in the red skater dress…wait!
