Hello, Hawaii Part I

"Wake up, Tara." Brian taps my shoulder and I open my eyes to see that we're about to land. I open the window and I marvel at the beautiful island.

"What time is it?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. He looks at his phone and then back up at me.

"It's about 6:00 here." I nod my head and look around the plane at all the excited faces.

"Buckle your seatbelts. We are preparing to land," an unknown woman's voice says. Everyone buckles their seatbelts and as we descend more and more, I feel butterflies in my stomach because it feels like a rollercoaster. Fun. We're getting so close to the ground and I actually jump due to the impact of the wheels hitting the runway. As the plane is taxiing, I give Brian a wide grin. He looks at me confused and I just shrug innocently. Once the plane stops, everyone starts to leave, getting their luggage and I see our parents getting up so I nudge Brian to get up. We exit the airplane and get all our suitcases and as we're about to leave we see a man with a sign that has my last name on it. We walk over to him and he greets us all. He takes us to another van and he drives to our hotel. The resort is amazing. There are lots of pools and people just relaxing. There's a beach nearby and this isn't even the whole thing. It's a big resort.

The driver pulls up to the giant hotel and we all get out, except for our dads because they say that they're gong to rent a car and go to work. We get to the front desk of the luxurious and waaaaay over expensive-looking hotel and my mom checks in, handing each of us a room key. We take the elevator and I can just feel Brian staring into my godforsaken soul, but I try my hardest not to make eye contact. We stop at the very top floor and we get out, going to our room.

"One...Two...Three!" My mom says, before opening the door. We all run inside, dropping all our bags and staring in awe at the amazing suite. Where we're standing is the main room, with couches and a TV, and a full kitchen to my right. There are two bedroom doors on each side and I run inside the left one first. There are two large beds, a TV, and a bathroom. I'm guessing that the other bedroom has he same thing.

"We all should get some rest before the dinner tonight," I hear my mom say from the main room.

What the f***? There's a dinner tonight?

Brian and his mom go to the room across from ours and Brian turns around to shoot me a wink. I give him a smug smile. Good thing my mom's back was turned. She walks in the room and I close the door and she flops on the bed, making me laugh. I take my hoodie off and put on a tank top and I lay down on the other bed, staring at the ceiling.

"So how was the plane ride, Tara?" She asks me, wiggling her eyebrows. I shake my head with a smile.

"I was asleep, and besides Mom, he's a player. I wouldn't have feelings for him in a thousand years," I say. She sighs.

"Well, whatever happens, it happens," she says, before closing her eyes.

Whatever that means.

I stare at the ceiling for a while, but I don't feel sleepy, just a bit hungry. I get up and walk out of the room, closing the door. I stop when I see the TV on and Brian laying on the couch, looking back at me. He smirks and I roll my eyes, trying to go back to what I was about to do. I open the fridge to try my luck if there's anything here. There's no food, but I find apple cider, so I guess I'll just take that. I get a glass and pour some in it. Just then I feel hands at my waist and lips on my neck, nipping at my skin.

"Stop..." I say, softly.

"You don't want me to, do you?"

"No, but anyone could just walk in," I explain.

"So?"

"Brian, we have to do this later," I somehow slip out of his grasp, taking my cup with me and I walk back into my room because I know eventually I would've turned to putty in his hands if I didn't leave right then.

After all, I did on the plane. Mr. and Miss No Chill over here.

I lock the door and lean my back against it and let myself slide down in silent agony. If the parents weren't here, I swear to God I would be all over him. Like, now. Every time I see him I have this instinct to just rip off all his clothes and have him take me right then and there, but at the same time I just want to bash his stupid smirky face in. It's killing me to not be able to do as I want right now. I want him, and I want him now.

I slowly lift myself off of the floor and sit my cup down on the bedside table, laying on the bed. I turn on the TV, but low volume so I don't wake my mom. I scroll through the channels and there. Is. Nothing. To. Watch.

I'm going to die in this damn room.

But then it dawns on my that duh, there are pools here. I drink my beverage and softly wake up my mom.

"Mom," I whisper. She opens her eyes and looks at me.

"What time is the dinner?"

"5:00," I smile because that's at least 8 hours from now.

"Can I go to the pool?" She nods her head and I go to get my things. I change into my bikini and put on a cover up skirt. I put on my sandals and tie my hair up in a ponytail. I take a towel and I place my hand on the door knob, hesitant to exit. I take a deep breath, bracing myself. I turn the knob and open the door to find that Brian isn't in the main room. I press my lips together while I walk to the other room and knock. He opens the door a few moments later and he looks me up and down, licking his lips.

"I'm about to go to the pool, do you want to go with me?" I ask. A smile creeps on his face and I roll my eyes, knowing of his intentions.

"Yeah, give me a second," he says before closing the door again. I sit on the couch and eat some jelly beans that are on the table in a bowl. Nice. I get up to grab my purse and I put my phone and room key inside. Brian walks outside a few moments later in his swimming trunks and a t-shirt and we leave the room, closing the door. He then pins me against the wall, attacking my lips with kisses. I manage to come up for air while he kisses my neck.

"Dude, f****** chill!" I almost yell, but he still doesn't let up and he shakes his head.

"No, Tara. You don't understand. I need you right now. You're killing me." I smirk at seeing him so needy. I want to laugh at him, but I can't lie, I want him too. Badly.

"We need to find somewhere. We can't do this right here," I say, grabbing his hand. I search down the halls desperately for something. A storage room, supply closet, anything. I stop dead in my tracks when I find a door with the label "Janitor's Closet." I look around and open the door and I pull Brian in while he closes and locks the door.

*

"Now let's actually go to the pool," he says, before we leave the janitor's closet, checking if anyone is out here. We quickly leave the hotel and make our way to the pool. I sit my things down in a chair and Brian puts his towel in the same chair, taking off his shirt. I don't know why I haven't noticed how sculpted his body is, with his amazing abs. My jaw mentally drops but I quickly pull myself together before he realizes I'm staring. I jump into the pool and stay under the water for a little while. Don't worry, I'm anything but suicidal. I come up for air and I see him jump in.

"Brian, let's race," I say. He nods his head and we back up against the wall.

"Loser buys a drink for the winner."

"Fine."

"Ready, set... Go!"

As soon as I say go, we both swim to the other end of the pool like our lives depended on it. As soon as I make it to the wall I turn to my side and he's not there so I yell out, "I win!"

I turn all the way around and I see him glaring at me. I laugh and I get out of the pool, getting my towel and going to lay down on one of the beach chairs. I relax and close my eyes.

"Is someone sitting here?" An unknown voice asks. I open my eyes to find a not-so-bad-looking guy around my age. He's actually really cute.

"No, you can sit," I say, with a polite smile. He smiles back and sits down. I close my eyes again.

"Are you on vacation too?" He asks. I turn to him and shrug.

"Well, kind of. It's more like my dad's business thing here."

"Oh, that's cool, for how long?"

"About a week. And we just got here today. What about you?" I say.

"I'm here until Monday."

"We should hang out," I say. He smiles.

"Sure." I look at my phone. My mom texted me.

Went to the spa, be back later.

"What's your number?" I ask while handing him my phone. He takes it and he makes his contact. He hands me his phone and I do the same. I look at my phone after he gives it back for his name.

"Luke, nice to meet you," I say.

"Oh, right. I didn't even introduce myself, whoops." I laugh and hand him his phone.

"Nice to meet you too, Tara." I smile and put my phone back in my purse. I turn around and see Brian walking towards me with a Coke in his hand. Once he gets to me, he sits down on the seat with me.

"Is this your new boyfriend, Tara?" Brian asks teasingly while handing me my soda. I glare at him while I open it.

"No, this is Luke. Luke, this is my f****** 'friend', Brian," I say before taking a sip. They exchange little smiles and an awkward silence takes over. I drink more of my soda, trying to act like it's not awkward. Can't blame me for trying, can you?

"I'm gonna... go to the snack bar now. See you later, Luke," I say, trying to gather my things as quickly as possible. I speedwalk to the snack bar and take a seat. A woman asks me if I'm ordering anything, but I say no and turn around to find Brian right behind me.

"Why'd you just leave me with that guy?" He asks, sitting next to me. I shrug.

"It got awkward as soon as you sat down."

"Why? Were you guys talking about f****** each other without me knowing?"

"No, I don't know why. It was just... awkward," I say. There's another silence and I laugh.

"Dude, it's you."

"Dude, it's not me," he says, mocking me. I roll my eyes and get up. I turn around and wave at Luke while leaving to go back to the hotel room. As I expected, Brian is following me.

Bruh, get a life. You don't have to f*** me 24/7.

I enter the hotel and go up the elevator. Fortunately, Brian wasn't staring at me or all over me and it made me feel more relaxed. We get out of the elevator and I unlock the door, opening it. I look around to find literally no one here. Brian then sits his things down and walks back to me. He sits his hands at my waist and pulls me close. He leans in to kiss me and I don't fight it. He starts to kiss my neck as his hands find their way to my a**.

"Do you want to..?" I hesitate, though.

Because bruh, we literally just had sex less than an hour ago.

"Again?" I ask, frowning. "I'm tired."

"Please?" He asks. Right after he asks this question, I hear footsteps and voices outside. I quickly push him off of me and run into my room. I lay down on the bed and turn on the TV as if I was watching something. After a few seconds my mom walks in.

"Hey Mom."

"Hey Tara. How was the pool?"

"Great, I made a new friend."

"Oh, what's her name?"

"It's a he and his name is Luke."

"Ooh, do you have a crush on him?"

"Mom, I don't have a crush on every guy I meet."

"Just making sure," she says, laughing. She leaves the room and I turn off the TV. And for some reason, I doze off.
