I think I made a mistake.

Sorry.

I know I made a mistake

Was my first thought as I looked up from the counter to see the faces of five guys beaming at me.

“Do you people not have respect for personal space and don’t you have lives to get on with?” I snapped as usual but it didn’t seem to faze them.

“Well to answer your question, we do not have respect for that and yes, we have jobs if that’s what you’re thinking and no, we do not have a band” Henry said

I was utterly confused as to why he said that as I never asked about the band.

“Don’t mind him. That’s how we are” his twin, Harlan replied for him as they began having an argument between themselves.

“Stupid huh?” That made more sense.

“Chris spoke up from the far end of the table “We actually do have jobs if you were wondering; Jaxx here is an artist, Henry is a writer and as for the rest, we work for my father’s company”

“I didn’t really need to know your story” I replied lamely earning a scoff from Jaxx who immediately said “No need to be a bitch about it”

Who the heck does this guy think he is “Yo, watch your mouth before I help you do that”

“Well, this is fun” Matteo whistled out loud which made the others chuckle.

I snapped my head towards him “If you’re going to be bringing up side comments then don’t do it beside me. I wasn’t the one who asked for this”

He rose his hand in defeat and walked away not bothering to reply me and that felt annoying cause I was so not used to people leaving me hanging.

“Whoa, you got to take it easy Wren”, it was all jokes Harlan said in an attempt to calm me.

“Didn’t see it as one. Do you guys mind? I want to work” and that was more than enough for them to walk away.

Matteo’s POV

That girl is really something to be honest. So damn snappy

I thought to myself as I stood at the balcony of the restaurant, letting the evening breeze fill me as I waited for the guys.

“I like her. She looks like fun” Henry said as they walked in.

“Well I used to but right now she seems like a real terrible person” Jaxx added as I turned around, just in time to see the frown etched unto his face.

I know why he’s so pissed.

“Give her a break, you’ve only known her for how many days, you can’t judge her yet” Chris defended her.

Seriously when did this dude start defending someone.

“No Chris, he’s pissed because she told him off. Deal with it you pussy” Harlan shook hands with his brother as they laughed hysterically at Jaxx who looked even more pissed.

“Matt man, what do you think? Chris turned his attention to me.

“I say we show her that we really meant our request and Jaxx, man up and stop acting childish” I said

I really needed to get into the head of that girl, she intrigues me.

Just as we were about to go on, Stephanie walked in with a knowing look “I just hope you guys are not about to stir up trouble with Renee because she’s had enough”

“Ooh shut your trap, no one is stirring trouble” I groaned.

“You know I can never believe anything that comes out of the mouth of any of you guys. You lie. A lot”

“Ugh, Stephanie, you’re really beginning to act like you’re new to this. Of course, we will never tell you the truth, you are a blabber mouth” Chris responded as I chuckled in agreement.

Only I and Chris had the right for some reason to talk to her that way. An unspoken rule we silently agreed on.

“Shut it Chris” she dismissed “But please, don’t get her angry once again okay guys?” She pleaded with her quivering eyes as she waited for a response before leaving.

“Back to what we were saying…” Chris began then others joined in.

I couldn’t help but notice the intense look Jaxx had on when Stephanie entered the room.
