Time seemed to stop as Alex uttered each of those words. The previous raging Nen quickly converged onto his body while he swung his arm down steadily.
He gazed at the spot and smirked. He turned around and the moment he touched the mattress he instantly fell asleep. If there was anyone there, he would see that the wall that Alex pointed to had now a fine diagonally gash.
The next morning, Alex woke feeling refreshed. He touched his chest and felt like the huge weight had become significantly lighter. He got up and went to eat some supplies of dried rations that he had stored.
After eating he looked at the place where he unleashed for the first time his Nen ability. He approached it and touched lightly on the gash.
"Mmm... it seems that my Nen strength is still weak. If I raised my control and capacity, along with the understanding of the ability in itself, I expect that my power will rise accordingly."
He knew that when one first manifested his Nen's ability, even more for a Specialist like him, one wouldn't accomplish much. But based on the knowledge that he had about his Nen's ability potential, he knew that it was a matter of time before he could move away from Meteor City.
'Hatsu'
Dark Nen arouse from him weaving like a substance. Alex looked at his Nen and smirked as he though it made sense giving the nature of his ability.
He focused the Nen on his right hand, 'Infinite Dimensions: 1st Form, Dáinsleif Edge'. His Nen appeared to turned a lighter as the air on top of Alex's palm began to distort slightly. He gazed at it intently trying to figure out it's possible variations but even with [Limitless Learning Capacity], all his ideas were just that, ideas. He knew that to further develop his ability he needed to test it in all kinds of targets.
He sighed as he dissipated Dáinsleif Edge and sat down on the ground. He touched his chin and thought, 'The moment I saw the water turn dark and the subsequent appearance of the white dots, I knew that I was a Specialist. What I didn´t expect was that the ability wouldn't be completely dependent on me but also take some factor from [Limitless Learning Capacity].'
He touched his temples as he began to feel a slight pain on it, 'Infinite Dimensions is basically an ability puts my experience as an Earth human and the [Limitless Learning Capacity] all in one package. Thinking about its name, Infinite Dimensions, one can already see that my ability is somewhat related to space.
Dáinsleif Edge is the manifestation of my offensive comprehension of space. Perhaps due to my gamer background I wished some kind of strong attack. I'm almost 100% sure that my wish influenced my Nen ability in forming it's 1st Form, Dáinsleif Edge. A pure form on using space manipulation with the only intention of attacking, but it comes with severe flaws.
One, I still don't know what is the actual range and if the further the target, the more Nen I have to spend; Second, the penetrative power. Although it's seems kind of dumb talking about the penetrative aspects of a space tear it still has to tear through matter, hence expending Nen to do it. The more power I wish to put on it, the more Nen I need to spend; Third, the lack of maneuverability. Since it's an almost instantaneous attack, if the opponent as some kind of beast like senses that can somewhat perceive danger, Dáinsleif Edge won't affect them if they dodge before they are it; Fourth and last one, the concentration that it's needed to launch the attack. Since it's an ability that instantaneously appears on space, I need to perform many calculations and have an almost godly perception of space depth so that my attack falls in that exact spot and not behind of the enemy.'
He knew that with a training and with the increase on his Nen, most of this flaws would get resolved one way or another. What truly concerns him is on how to defend himself when he hasn't reach that point. He didn't want to spend his life on his favorite anime world trapped in the godforsaken Meteor City, in a room beneath a crumbling silo.
He wanted to explore the world, see the characters of the anime, to try to become a Hunter and ultimately explore the Dark Continent.
"That's for the future. Now I have to think on how to improve myself in order to get out of here."
Alex shook his head to clean himself of all distracting thoughts and began to meditate.
..........................................
Meanwhile, in another corner in Meteor City. On a broken building, one could see many figure approaching it at high speeds. Inside one could see 9 figures, 7 men and 2 women. They all seemed to be having fun with each other as they shouted and laughed.
"Hey, Uvogin you bastard! I bet with you that I'm stronger than you! Ahahaaaa..."
A blond hair man shouted while pointing his fist and another man. This one called Uvogin was much bigger than the other showing his enormous build and buildup muscles.
He looked towards the blond man and said in a deep voice, "Hey, you blond b*tch! You must be thinking that just because you didn't get a feeling of my fist this time we were separated that I can still crush you like a bug, Phinks."
The blond man, Phinks, gazed at Uvogin. His face glinted menacingly as he walked, "UHN! Did you say anything?! I just heard, Pock, pock, poock!"
The other figures looked at those two without moving as if they were looking at something normal. They even stopped looking while Uvogin and Phinks approached each other. Right before they came to fists a very calm voice made it way to their ears, "Uvogin, Phinks can you stop."
Both of the men, stopped and looked in the direction of the voice. On top of the crumbling stone stairs, a man with a cross on his forehead was looking at a red book with a handprint on its cover. He closed the book and looked at them, "I gather you here not to test each other's strength but to talk to you all about the next step."
He jumped, landing easily on the floor. He made its way through them while his magnetic voice continues to sound, "Most of you know that I always wanted something when I created this group."
He made a pause looking around to see if everyone was hearing every one of his words, "Feitan, Machi, Nobunaga, Pakunoda, Franklin, Uvogin, Phinks and Shalnark. We are the Phantom Troupe so we must have what others can only imagine. After careful deliberation I decided what will be our next step."
He stopped and looked at them with an inviting look, "Have you ever hear about the Scarlet Eyes?"
He peered into every member, but he couldn't see a trace of understanding. Not even Feitan who usually knows something was showing any sign.
"The Scarlet Eyes are considered one of the most gorgeous colors in the world, they are treated as a rare jewel. Being only found in the Kurta Clan not many people have ever seen them, making them a rare commodity."
He stopped as he looked at the excited expressions of everyone. Pakunoda stepped forward and asked, "Boss, but from what I've know the Kurta Clan as went missing a few years ago and nobody has ever seen them again."
Chrollo looked at Pakunoda and said calmly, "Well, what if I told you that I know their location? We will be going to Lukso Province and we shall kill each and every last one of those Kurta clansman and we will take their precious eye! Understood?"
"YES!"
Everyone growled as their excitement and bloodlust began to seep out of their bodies as they listened to Chrollo talking. They looked at him as he walked to the exit as he said, "Let's go!"
