City State of North River

Arthur and Curtis reached to the North River before the night. North River was a huge and great city.

North River hasn't been builded next to the walls of the maze like Gold River. The city had three main walls.

The outside walls were the main walls to protect the city. There were a lot of knights and warriors at the outer walls. Also between the outer walls and the second walls the people of the North River were living. Between the second wall and the third wall there were guilds and the clan buildings. And at the center of the North River, there was management buildings and a monument of the hero who founded North River.

They entered from the city's doors fast since Curtis was a clan leader.

While they were traveling through the second walls, Arthur was looking around.

There were a lot of stores and restaurants. The buildings of the North River was also different than the Gold River.

When they were crossing from the streets, he was seeing the people who are challenging each other on the fights and the people drinking together.

Arthur,

"Do the people know the war is coming?"

Curtis,

"They probably know. But most of the people trust to the walls of the North River. Some say, the stone of the walls gifted to the North River clans by the maze masters."

"Do you mean that walls have the same stone?"

"Who knows. Maybe they have, maybe they don't have."

"This city is huge than Gold River."

"Yes, it is. Since Gold River's economic power comes from the trade, the job opportunities are really less at the Gold River."

Arthur was looking to the city and he wanted to travel the city. Maybe he could learn something useful in the North River.

"Curtis, I will travel the city. I will come next to you guys later."

Curtis turned to Arthur and he gave a necklace to him,

"If you want to enter from the second walls, you have to show this necklace at the door."

Arthur got the necklace from Curtis and,

"Thanks."

Curtis,

"And don't be late. If Ragnar is in the city, I bet you have something to talk with him."

"Yes, we have a lot. Thanks again Curtis."

"No Arthur, I should have thank to you. You helped us to reach to the city."

After speaking a minute or so with Curtis, Arthur started to walk in the streets of the North River.

While he was walking in the city, he found a store that sells armors and weapons. There were lots of people at both outside and inside of it.

He decided to enter and look what they had got in the store. Maybe they had the third ancient sword. Arthur thought on his mind,

"If the sword is somewhere near, maybe I can learn who opened the door."

While he was walking towards the shop, he realized that the shop's building was also a well designed huge building.

As he came close to the shop, he started to hear other people talking. Some of them were standing on somewhere and some of them were playing games.

He heard an old man's speech,

"I don't care what you say about them. This Gold River is too dangerous. They are gaining all these gold for years. They want to spend the gold that they have. They want to annex our city. Even maybe they offered gold to the leaders of the clans for buying the city. We must fight."

The other man next to him who look younger shouted excitedly and spoke quickly,

"You are right! We must show our strength to the Gold River!"

Than a woman that has red hairs and brown eyes who was entering to the store spoke to the men who were talking about the incoming war,

"Are you sure about that? The Westonian knights are so scared about the Maze Dragon that they can't even return to their kingdom."

The men,

"You are right Lady Rose!"

After that Arthur focused on a different group who were talking about the weapon prices.

He stayed outside for a while to learn new information about the North River before entering to the store.

When he entered to the store, he saw a huge saloon with many staff who are helping to the people to buy the weapons or guiding to the people for finding the weapon that they want.

There were lots of weapons not just swords.

While he was walking in the store, two people were buying a weapon at that time. A woman bought a shining sword and a man bought a bow.

A staff came close to the Arthur and asked what was he looking. Arthur just said that he was looking for something interesting.

While the store staff was showing some weapons which are being told as unique by the staff a man came close to the Arthur.

Arthur ignored the man when he passed but then a lightning flashed in Arthur's thoughts. He was Barney.

Arthur looked to him and tried to understand what he was doing there.

He thanked to the store staff and started to follow Barney.

Barney got out from the store and entered to a street. He was walking fast but Arthur was still seeing him.

Then he suddenly entered to an old building that next to him.

Arthur was thinking in his mind whether if they were going to attack the city or not.

Arthur thought,

"So they entered to the city somehow. But there is something important, even Vanessa's knights are here something is happening."

Then he noticed the opened window of the building and entered to the building from the window.

He tried to understand where he was. The room that he entered wasn't getting to much light from the window since the sun was about to down.

After waiting for a while, his eyes adapted to the room's darkness and he found the door of the room. He opened the door and saw a hallway which was lightened by a lamp.

He heard some speeches from the room that is at the end of the hallway. He walked quietly and when he was next to the door he stopped and started listening the speeches.

"What do you have Barney?"

"I don't have a lot. The people are talking still same things and they won't attack to us."

"What do you mean?"

"They know that we are scared of the Maze Dragon."

"We are not Barney, we are just not taking any risks."

"Tell this to my ass."

Barney started talking again after going next to the window of the room,

"This is too dangerous. Why do we even do that?"

"I wasn't willing to come here with you. Shut up! If the princess Vanessa didn't want you to come with me I wouldn't come with you."

"Yes, just because of that damn Arthur. I think she has feelings for him. I'm glad that she finally loves someone but that Arthur is a trouble maker."

"Shut up! We have more important things to discuss. We have to report."

"Yes, we have to. I don't know how to do that. You can do this, right?"

"Okey I'm writing the letter."

The man started to write the letter while Barney was looking from window to the street.

Barney started talking suddenly,

"You know what, I saw a lady today. She was super beautiful with his read hairs, Lady Rose."

"So you have time to chat with the ladies but don't have time to gather information. Well done Barney!"

"I was gathering information for all the day. I just chatted with her a little. Don't be jealous."

"Okey, whatever it is. We have to focus on our topic. They won't attack to the Gold River which is a great new for us. So we just have to took down that Ragnar guy and learn what he knows about Arthur."

"Even if you learn something about Arthur, that won't be enough. I saw him fighting with Andrew. He is skilled."

The man laughed and spoke,

"Barney we are just gathering information. Do you really think that we will fight with him. They are sending more experienced knights than Andrew."

"Andrew is good too."

"Yes, but he lacks experience."

"I don't know. I saw him when he was training and traveling around with princess. I won't fight with him, just know that okey."

"Are you scared of him?"

"Are you an idiot? Everybody was talking about him in the city. They believe that he is the Ragnar's cousin."

"Maybe he is."

"He is not, I know that much."

While Arthur was listening their speech he sensed a magic user coming to the building and he returned to the room that he entered to building.

A woman entered to the building and went to the room where Barney and the other guy was talking.

Arthur was able to hide his magic but he was just doing it with an instinct.

He returned to the place where he listened Barney but this time he found a spot for looking to the room.

He first saw the long black haired guy who was writing the letter. Arthur wasn't seeing his face since he turned his back to the Arthur.

But he was able to see Barney and the woman talking with him. He froze when he saw her. Because she was Vanessa.

Arthur was shocked to see her in here. If she would find out Arthur was in the city, that would be big problem.

Arthur was scaring too much, just because Arthur knew she was angry to him a lot.

Arthur was also thinking how impressive Vanessa is. But then he thought this wasn't time for that.

Vanessa,

"I've entered to the meeting of the leaders."

Both Barney and Arthur were shocked. They bought thought how was that possible?

Barney,

"How did you do that?"

"I didn't show my face and created some illusions to hide my magic."

Barney and Arthur were impressed this time.

Vanessa shouted happily,

"He is here Barney!"

Barney,

"No way! Are you sure?"

"Yes I am."

"How did you find it out?"

"There is a man called Curtis who is the leader of the Ice Castle Clan. He talked about the Ragnar's cousin in the meeting who is…."

Barney,

"Arthur!"

Vanessa continued,

"Yes, he is Arthur. But as I understand he suddenly wanted to travel in the city. At least that's why Curtis told."

Vanessa suddenly realized something, she knew how smart Arthur was.

"Where have you been all day Barney?"

"I was traveling in the city."

"Did someone see you?"

"What are you talking about?"

"He suddenly changed his way and he didn't arrive to the second walls yet. That's because he saw you isn't it?"

"What, I was doing my mission. Nobody told me that he is at the city!"

"You idiot! Do you know what have you done?"

Barney,

"Let your love of your life to escape from the city."

Vanessa shouted angrily,

"No it is not! Why are you calling like that! It doesn't mean that I love him when I have some feelings for him."

Barney, Arthur and the spy shouted together,

"What?"

That was the moment Arthur realized that he shouted and Vanessa heard that.

Vanessa turned back, walked in the room and saw him,

Arthur,

"Hey how have you been Vanessa?"

Vanessa talked with a growing fire in her eyes,

"You are dead."

Arthur,

"I am, right?"
