Gold River’s Attack

Before the dark emperor attacked to the seven ancient empires, the high commanders of the ancient empires predicted the rise of the first dark emperor.

Kingdom of Westonia was the descendant of one of the seven ancient empires.

Also they were the first empire to be attacked by the dark emperor.

Their empire won the war against the dark emperor but some of the people from the empire immigrated to the lands of the forgotten masters.

After settling to the lands of the maze, their clan became one of the most powerful kingdoms in the maze again. That's why their battle tactics and power were great in the battle.

On the other hand North River was ruled by the northern clans that are known as great sailors. Before they arrived to the maze, they fought with the empires themselves.

If the war was going to break out, two sides of the medal was strong and this was just flipping a coin. There was no clear result about which side was more powerful than the each other.

This war was all about battling with your enemy in the most advantageous place that you could fight.

But there was a chance for each side to have an opportunity to win the war, using the spies.

North River's streets were silent and dark with the sun to down.

But everything has changed with a blast in the North River. One of the management buildings were being attacked by the mercenary magicians of the Gold River.

The building was destroyed and the North River's defence commander took down by the magicians of the Gold River.

This was an effective and insidious attack to the North River.

After the explosion Arthur shouted,

"Are you mad? What is the meaning of that? Are you really attacking without a reason to North River?"

Vanessa was shocked, she didn't understand what was going on. Nobody told her that there will be an attack to the Gold River.

Also nobody could attack to the North River. The king of the Westiona, Oliver Westonia ordered his troops to wait at Gold River.

Vanessa,

"We are not attacking! This is someone else."

Arthur looked to the people in the room and spoke with a confident voice,

"I have to help them."

Vanessa,

"You are not going anywhere. Gold River wants you and I am here to protect you."

Arthur looked to Vanessa, she was also confident. But he spoke to show that he is more confident than her,

"If there is something about me or someone else I know, I have to fix this."

"Idiot! They are thinking that you are the spy of the Gold River."

"Maybe I am, why do you trust me so much?"

"Don't you understand it Arthur? You are using dragon magic! You are one of the less people who had great magical power at the ancient times. Maybe you were the one who were protecting the sword."

Arthur was wanting go and save Ragnar, Curtis and the others. He didn't even notice Vanessa's speech about the sword. Arthur started shouting,

"I don't care what I am! The people are going to get hurt just because of me! I can't stop and watch that. That Gold River bastards are going to pay for what they have done and they are doing!"

Vanessa also started shouting,

"Then you have to fight with me! I will not let you to go and get yourself killed."

Barney felt the rising magical power in the room. He also looked to both Arthur and Vanessa. This was a clash of their opinions. Their fight already begun and there were no way to stop it.

Arthur,

"Vanessa, why don't you understand that? They will either find me or…"

"Do you know the spy?"

"Yes, I know. But I won't tell it to you. Don't understand me wrong, I trust to you but…"

"There is nothing to understand wrong. I understand you more than anyone, you want to save everyone but this is not possible Arthur."

"Maybe it is!"

"If you could, you wouldn't wake up without knowing anything about yourself."

Arthur knew that Vanessa was right. But for Arthur, staying same all the time and not challenging was not a way of fighting.

"I will try!"

Vanessa took a stance as Arthur spoke and showed her sword that was shining even with the little light in the room.

"Than I'll stop you!"

Arthur sheathed his sword as Vanessa spoke and shouted,

"I care about you Vanessa, why don't you understand that? Just let me go! I will only make trouble to you."

Vanessa,

"I have done that years ago. I let someone to go. Someone who is important to me that fell in the battle and didn't return back. I won't do the same mistake again. I as the princess of the Westonia Kingdom won't lose someone who is important to me again!"
