The start of the adventure

"Our ancestor… were Norse?" Aiden asked calmly.

His dad laughed and nodded, "Ahahahahahahahaha! Yes, we are! Didn't I tell you before, you inherited my physique and my endurance! Don't you know, I cut down a bunch of trees for a village and to propose to your mother once and that is our old village!"

Aiden smiled happily, tears started coming out of his eyes, his dad placed his hand on the 18-year-old's shoulder and while smiling, he said calmly, "Buckle up, son! Do you think I never experienced the world before? It's scary out there! The only thing that made me endured all of that, was this sword, it's as if our ancestors, all the men that used this sword placed their hands on my back and pushed me!"

Aiden cleared the tear from his face and nodded, "Well… then, dad, I'll… get going, I will see you when I returned here, it wouldn't belong, or it might take a long time, but please wait for me!"

Not long after that, Aiden found himself staring at his own reflection on the cup of tea, "Drin' up mate! What ya waitin for? Some fuckin miracle out of nowher'?"

Aiden slowly grabbed the wooden cub and chugged the tea down and sighed, "Oliver, I'm lost right now, I don't know what to do. It seems like that all of my… thirst for an adventure slowly fades away jus from hearing and remembering my dad's words"

Oliver, the master archer, giggled for a bit and then he also chugged hi drink down his throat before answering, "Ah! That was some good ol' beer! Eh? What were ya sayin? Oh ye, that… that… why not ya just do your work, you the one that tol' me about Mike!"

Aiden nodded, "Oh yea, almost forgot about them… well, guess I'll go to the city and finish that, thanks, mate!"

Tomorrow

"Mike! Nice to see you after some months!" With a smile on his face, Aiden greeted the man from his horse.

Mike, too, was excited, "Aiden! Nice to see you too! I was waiting for this day to come! Thank you, my friend, for bringing my families with you!"

Aiden nodded as he and the family of Mike got down from their horse and carriage, then slowly approaching Mike, "It's not a problem, man! I got nothing to do anyway, just having some relaxing time in the village. How about you?"

Mike smiled and made a hand gesture, "Why don't we talk in my house instead of here? Sir John provided me with a small house. Let me lead you all there!"

Now, sitting on the couch, Aiden and Mike are facing each other, "So… you know, Aiden. I actually became a moral teacher for the soldiers, taught them about bravery, good morals and other stuff. I don't regret being a knight a single bit, even though it's hard sometimes"

Mike shook his head, "That's not it, Aiden, Without you… I wouldn't be able to reach all of this. Did you remember the old village? While I was running away from the enemies, I saw you, on top of an enemy, killing him with a rock… For me, at that te, you were a clueless murder, but now, I thought of you as a man only trying to defend his village and save his parents. A voice of another woman responded, "Maybe she's the bad one! I heard she has an affair with a poor village boy while gaining attention for some money from a noble boy! That b1tch is stupid, my daughter would be better!"

He turned to the direction of the voice and saw two women, walking on the same street with decorated clothes and jewels on. He dashed to them, "Hello young and beautiful ladies, would you kindly tell me about that girl you two were talking about? I also heard a girl with the same name when I did some… business in a poor village, I'm interested in her"

Aiden smiled and bowed to them. He then pulled his hand out of his pocket and grabbed his gold medal out, "Here beautiful ladies, this is the gold medal I got for my merit and valour in the battlefield. Now, I shall excuse myself"
