Searching for the girl

"So she moved to this city 3 months ago? Damn it! If only I didn't forget that time, I would've been able to meet her while she was moving from the city of Criton!" Sitting on the edge of his bed, Aiden cursed his luck.

He placed the book down beside him and contemplated. Sighing, he said to himself, "Well… at least I got the chance to meet her at this city, just need to find Ava's home and done!"

Knock

Knocking on a door of a house, Aiden said to himself once again, "This is the location I got from Alon, he said this is the only house that a woman at the age of 18-19 moved to the city for the past 6 months"

Soon, the door opened itself, revealing the familiar face that Aiden recognized, "Uncle! How are you?!"

The now middle-aged looking man raised one of his eyebrows, "Who are… ohhhhh! Aiden! Long time no see, what was it? 1 year? 9 months? That's not important, come in come in!"

With a smile, he entered the house, hoping that the first thing he saw in the house to be the girl he liked. Unfortunately, luck was not in his side, he had to abandon the smile on his face as he slowly sat on the simple table.

Placing two cups of water, Ava's dad sat down across the table and asked, "So what brought you here?"

Aiden forced himself to smile and answered the man's question, "Ah, I was just paying a random visit. Recently got the information that your family moved here and was on my adventure, so I was thinking that it won't be bad for me to pay a visit"

The man chuckled, "Don't lie to me, boy! You thought I don't know that you liked Ava? Your parents and my parents arranged a marriage for you and Ava since you guys were bornt to this world!"

Aiden gave an awkward smile and nodded, "I guess I can't hide the fact about that. So… where is Ava?"

The man went silent and sighed, "I don't know to be honest. Even she wanted to go to an adventure, she left the house like 4 weeks ago. I prayed for the best for here but I kept feeling this uneasy feeling or something"

Aiden asked, "Do you know any place where she headed to? Usually, parent's has a great prediction ability of their children, I believe that Ava might be in some trouble right now"

The man sighed once again, "Thank god you wanted to help. I'll just get straight to the point. She never said where she was going, but I once heard that she wanted to see the old, beautiful place near the old village. You know, that one place she often asked you to go with her"

Aiden nodded, immediately remembering the place, "Yea, I know that place. Well, I shall head to that way then! Perhaps I would be able to meet her if I was lucky!"

The man furrowed his eyebrows, intimidating Aiden, "Did I give you the permission to meet her though?"

Aiden was shocked, but Ava's dad giggled, "I was just kidding, your help would be much appreciated!"

2 days later

Aiden finally reached his old village, 'Ah! This calming situation and environment, just like the old-time… Well, I guess I shall stay here for some days and relax here before continuing on my adventure to find Ava!"

As soon as he said that, he saw a girl coming up to him and said with a seducing tone, "Sirrrrr, would you want me to give you some services in my inn? It's not that-"

Aiden smirked and nodded. He got off of his horse and said to the girl, "Sure, lead the way, can I ask you some question later though?"

"So, girl…" Aiden awkwardly said.

"Ah, you can call me Kelly" The girl responded.

"Ah, okay, so Kelly, since you have the only inn in this place, can you tell me something? It's about my lover" Aiden asked as the girl handed the 19-year-old a room's key.

"Ah, sure, but you know, not a single thing in this world is free, if you know what I meant that is" She made a money symbol with his thumb and index finger.

Aiden grabbed a silver coin from his pocket and smiled at the girl, "Wait for me, I'll come to your room and tell you everything you wanted to know about this village. Might even give you some happy ending"

As Aiden was slowly letting his eyes to rest itself and was on the verge of falling asleep, he heard a knock on his door, 'To be honest, I feel like not talking if I'm feeling like this, tired and sleepy… but I think it wouldn't be good to just turn down this opportunity to get some information about whereabouts of Ava'

He shouted, "Come in!"

Kelly entered the room and sat on the edge of the bed, "Ah, so you are Aiden, right? Sorry that I dug some information about you, but I need to know who's my client is"

Aiden nodded as he sat in the middle of his bed, "Anyway, do you know any girl that came to this village? Her name is Ava"

The girl placed her index finger at her chin and contemplated about it, "Oh yea! I met that one girl. Wait, if I remembered it correctly, I think she was also looking for you in the town of Gostin but never found you"

Aiden sighed, 'Bruh, must I really return to the town to find her? Wouldn't it just be a waste of 3 months of time?

Suddenly, the girl placed her hand at Aiden's pants and slowly slipped her hand in, Aiden grabbed her hand and slowly moved it away. The girl just smiled and said to him, "Well, I knew you would reject it. But just read the letter I gave you"
