Chapter 30
Meanwhile, at Eva's mansion on a Saturday autumn morning.
They all woke up late because no one is going to work.
After freshening up, Eva went into her daughter's room to wake her up and freshen her up. She likes to do that every weekend because she's mostly busy during the week and doesn't have much time for her daughter, so she tries to make it up on the weekends.
After bathing Rosie, she brought her to the princess walk-in wardrobe right beside the bathroom.
Rosie is an upcoming fashionista and she loves a lot of pinks and purples and princesses stuff.
Rosie chooses the outfit she wants to wear for the day, has her mother brought her to the dressing table to brush her long hair.
She looked at her daughter who was playing on her phone and saw a glance of someone she can't remember. She knows she has seen that facial expression before but can't remember where or who.
After brushing and putting some ribbons on her hair, she looked into her daughter's blue eyes and smiled, she remembers Addy's eyes is also the same shade of blue, how weird and coincidental.
'Oh god, of all people why I'm I thinking of him this early morning and smiling'
"You look, beautiful baby," she said like a proud mother she is and hug her daughter tightly.
"Mummy, are you sad?" She hugged her mom tightly too
"No baby, I'm just so happy to have you as my daughter, I feel blessed" she released her grasp and kissed her on the forehead.
"Me too" she shouted. Both of them head downstairs, where everyone was already waiting. As grandma saw Eva she shouted
"What took you so long"
"That's what took me long, she pointed to Rosie. As Rosie popped out behind her mom, her Nana quickly hugged her
"Oh Rosie darling, you look so beautiful, did you choose your outfit yourself?" Grandma asked Rosie with a smitten face like she wasn't shouting minutes ago.
"Oh Lord, grandma you been partial, I'm also beautiful, I'm I not?"
"No only my great grandbaby is so beautiful" Grandma replied Eva
"Nana I picked my outfit myself and mummy brushed my hair"
"Aww I'm proud of you baby, will you pick my outfit to later?" Grandma asked Rosie
"Really, I would love too" Rosie replied
Lilian was sat in the corner watching them relate and tease each other, she wished her grandmother and parents were still alive. Looking at Rosie, she thought if peanut was alive he would be a little bit older than her, as she was thinking, she didn't know when tears started falling down her face.
Eva looked towards Lilian to greet her when she noticed she was crying, she quickly rushed over to her side and hug her,
"Lilian, I promise it will get better, don't let the situation break you, you will be fine, you will be alright and I promise you I will be by your side to support you" Eva whispered
Lilian tears rolled freely unable to control herself. After a while, she calmed down and they all went to the dining table to have their breakfast.!
After breakfast Eva told Angie to go take care of Rosie, while her grandmother said she wants to visit one of her friends, she instructed her driver to take her grandmother wherever she was going and keep an eye on her occasionally.
Everyone has gone out or went to do their tasks, Eva and Lilian were left alone.
Eva suggested they have calming tea in the back garden.
After drinking, they were just there looking at nature, when Lilian began to talk.
She started with how she and Leo met and how he was her first everything, her first love, her first boyfriend, her first sex was with him, and he was the father of her first child.
She narrated the whole incident to Eva on how he started cheating, stopped calling and bullying her even though he wasn't physical with her, the emotional torture was really.
She narrated the incident that led her to lose her pregnancy and her womb.
At this point, Eva was already crying because she felt so sad and pity for her.
After Lilian narrated the whole incident, she felt relieved, like the heavyweight on her shoulders were lifted. They hugged each other tightly.
"If you need a shoulder to cry on, I will provide mine and please don't hesitate to tell me any on your mind," Eva said while hugging Lilian, all Lilian could do was nod in reply.
Shortly, there was a shout coming from inside.
"Big sis, Big sis..." Eva's brother Liam was shouting.
Eva quickly wiped her tears as she told Lilian her brother is around.
Lilian knows her brother but tries to keep her distance because he's a bratty spoilt child.
As they went in, Liam saw his sister and went straight to hug her.
"Oh dear sister, I've missed you so much" Liam hugged his sister tight as his eyes landed on Lilian.
"What is she doing here," he asked curiously
"None of thy business, you've got my number you can always call me, so tell me why you are here cos I know you don't miss me" Eva replied bluntly as she loosened his grip on her.
"Oh my beautiful sister, can't I miss you"
"Yes you can, only when you need something" Eva knows her brother well, he wouldn't have called her if he doesn't need something.
"Well, you got me..." he said itching his head. He then looked at his sister and looked at Lilian, trying to tell her sister to tell Lilian to excuse them. As Lilian was about to leave the room, Eva held her hand back.
"She stays, she's family. Whatever it is you want, you better start spilling" Eva said
He was confused but couldn't be bothered. They all went to sit in the living room, but Liam quickly knelt down
"Big sis can I live with you please"
