This time around, Shen didn't rely on a sudden attack. He let the news spread of his raid on The Hana Guild spread. It instantly caused a reaction within the city. The Hana guild was no joke. They easily had the most Huntsman out of any group. Alongside that, their leader was absolutely terrifying. Yet Shen still let the news slip; why?
Because he wanted everyone to see, him bring the Hana Guild to the ground. Thanks to the orders he sent to Sienna, they now numbered over 300+ strong. That, paired with the fact they had Military Vehicles and Gunships on their side, gave them an overall numerical advantage. Of course, Shen didn't plan on purely relying on that.
"Just gotta hope it doesn't drain me too much, I guess." Shen grinned to himself. Before him, over three hundred members of the White Fang were getting their weapons ready and boarding Military Vehicles. At the same time, the Gunships were being loaded up and piloted, ready for take-off.
Turning around, he spotted Neo walked over to him but not Torchwick. "Hmm, shame Torchwick won't be seeing us off. In any case, are you ready?" Neo nodded as Shen began making his way towards one of the gunships. "Good, then let's go." The two of them made their way towards a gunship and got inside.
Opening his scroll Shen directly spoke to everyone under his command. The Hana Guild operated in their base located in the upper regions of the city, even higher than the Madfalls. Like everything else, it was styled in a traditional Japanese fashion, but their territory neasily covered 2 Square Miles.
The only other group that could outdo them in those terms were the Black Sheep, who were nobles. "All of you will delay your arrival to the Hana Guild's base by five minutes. I'll be going in first ahead of everyone else." Normally something like that would sound like suicide. Dropping straight into enemy territory alone was just asking to die.
However, many of them had seen Shen at work. He was strong, and almost everyone in the White Fang he brought with him has witnessed it. So there was no one who questioned his orders. Every Squad and Team sent messages saying they were ready to go. "Let's begin the assault then."
All of the Airships took off first, with the vehicles starting up and following behind them. As Shen stated, they were to wait five minutes after his arrival to their base before attacking. Meanwhile, at The Hana Guild's base, Vermillion Raddock was sitting on a mat in a room used for meetings. Currently, he was the only one there, and the only light came from outside.
"The idiots are actually attacking us directly, unbelievable. It seems the Faunus really are as dumb as the animals they're based on." A deep laugh escaped his mouth as someone slid open the door leading to the room. "Sir, they'll arrive any minute now. Our men are already stationed in their positions, and we have over thirty Huntsman ready and waiting at the gate."
The messenger then said something else. "Are you sure we shouldn't call back everyone else spread across the city? We currently only have a hundred men at the most here guarding the base, and the other half of our Huntsman are out as well." Vermillion Raddock sucked his teeth. "You overestimate them. They're just a bunch of stray dogs. Thirty Huntsmans can easily handle their numbers alone."
Seeing he wasn't worried, the messenger nodded. "Yes, Sir, I'll update you as events occur." Outside of the main building of The Hana Guild, multiple figures could be seen waiting on the other side of the large wooden gate. They were all Huntsman and Huntresses employed by The Hana Guild.
"There's suppose to be around three hundred of them, right?"
"Naw, I heard it more around four hundred."
"Either way, It has been a while since I've been in a large-scale battle."
"I hear their leader pretty strong as well. Apparently, he managed to kill Zaff."
"He was probably just too overconfident."
All of them talked amongst one another as they suddenly heard the roar of an engine. Looking at the sky, a single ship was flying overhead. "Why is only a single ship here?" The ship began to slow down as it turned in mid-air, opening its side doors. Two figures were standing in the ship's carrier section.
"One, Two, Three… Looks like theirs thirty of them. That should be manageable." Neo, who was standing beside Shen, looked at him as if he was crazy. Those were professional Huntsman, and there were thirty of them. Even if Shen was stronger than them, he would be overwhelmed. Seeing the look on her face, Shen laughed.
"If you're that worried, then you can wait up here and watch." Brandishing Gae Bolg at his side, he smiled. With that, Shen jumped out of the ship. He was over a hundred feet in the air but didn't hesitate one bit. All of them watched as Shen fell to the ground twisting his body at the last second and thrusting Gae Bolg towards the ground.
The stone pathShen landed on shattered as a massive cloud of dust erupted into the air. As the smoke cleared, Shen was perfectly fine standing in front of all thirty of the Huntsman and Huntresses gathered. "A pleasure to meet you. My name is Shen. I'm in charge of the invasion occurring today."
Hearing Shen speak to them, one of the Huntresses laughed. "I see you pretty funny. But I'm surprised you came here alone. I thought you were supposed to be bringing an army with you. You don't think you can take all of us alone, do you?" Shen looked at them and tilted his head. "I wonder about that."
Softly landing behind Shen a moment later was Neo, who looked at him like he was crazy. "You still came down here in the end, so relax." Shen's claim made the Huntsman and Huntresses he was facing give him looks. Some were slightly pissed he was underestimating them so much, while others seemingly thought he was crazy.
"Looks like we overestimated you." That same Huntress shook her head as she reached for the weapon on her back. As she did, Shen responded to her claim. "Oh, don't worry, the army I brought with me is still coming. I just told them to hold back for a bit. In all honesty, I haven't used this before, and my aim might be a little off. Best to miniaturize casualties."
Listening to Shen, she stared at him before she began retreating. Soon her decision proved to be right as the thirty Huntsman and Huntresses suddenly saw the tip of Gae Bolg begin to shine. It was like a crimson star as Shen bent down and rushed forward. After a moment, he jumped as high as he could into the air.
Holding Gae Bolg as if he was going to throw it. Everyone witnessed a twisting crimson aura expand from the tip to the rest of the spear. The entire frontal area of The Hana Guild's base was coated in the red light as it seemed even the sky above changed colors. "What… What is that?"
They had never seen anything like it before, but the feeling it gave off was terrifying. Neo, who was watching from behind Shen, stared at him as her eyes reflected the red light. Shen's voice strained as he spoke. "Soaring Spear that Strikes with Death." Another wave of red light pulsed out as Shen fully pulled back his arm.
"Gae Bolg!"
Throwing Gae Bolg towards his target, a shockwave echoed over the entire area like a sonic boom. It was deafening as the spear flew through the air. Looking up at it, the Huntsman and Huntresses were frozen. As Gae Bolg flew it seemed to multiply. One became five, five became a hundred, and a hundred began thousands.
Their vision was encased in a blinding red light, and before they could react, it was too late. It was unavoidable for them as the spears pierced through their bodies and the ground around them. On impact, each one created a large explosion which was then multiplied by the others. It was like a chain reaction, and the result was an explosion that felt like an earthquake.
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
A Massive pillar-like explosion of energy engulfed the and destroying not only Shen's enemies but the frontal portion of The Hana Guild's base. The men stationed in the base looked at the explosion with widened eyes as it faded. Even outside, people from the White Fang could see the explosion from there.
As it finally began to fade, Shen began to fall from the sky. His body looked like it had no control over itself, and that was because it didn't. Gae Bolg had three different abilities he saw listed. Each one took an immense amount of power to use and mastery to control. Shen might have had the bare minimum for the first requirement, but it took its toll on his body with barely any mastery.
Seeing he was falling, Neo ran over and caught him before he hit the ground. "And here I thought that was going to hurt." Neo looked down at Shen, looking as if she wanted to say something. But in the end, she couldn't speak, so only her eyes contained what she wanted to say. 'Now that the main threats dealt with.'
Shen a single order as things were carried out exactly as he had ordered. The Hana Guild's main gate was blown down forcefully as multiple Vehicles and members of the White Fang charged forward. Gunships immediately flew overhead and began raining down fire as the men guarding The Hana Guild realized what was happening. "Fight back! Don't let them get in!"
Immediately three armored vehicles with turrets mounted onto them drove in front of Shen and Neo, blocking all enemy fire. The back door of one of the vehicles opened as L1 and L2 came out. "Master, are you alright?" Neo was kneeling down, holding Shen as he sighed. "I'm fine." Sitting up rubbing his shoulder. "Definitely would be in more pain If I had hit the ground."
Shen glanced at Neo, who diverted her gaze. Seeing that, he smirked to himself before standing up. "In any case, all of the Huntsman And Huntresse's are dead, and we have the advantage in numbers. Crush them completely and utterly." Shen's words were ruthless, but it was just the way they were used to getting things done.
Meanwhile, the same messenger from before burst into the room Vermillion Raddock was in. "What the hell just happened? What was that explosion?" He yelled as the messenger ran towards him, holding a scroll. "Sir, all of them are dead and were heavily outnumbered." Vermillion Raddock spoke in a deep voice. "Who's dead?"
"The Huntsman and Huntresses, all of the ones you had stationed at the front gate!" Although he was wearing a mask Vermillion, Raddock clearly was in shock. He couldn't believe it, but then the messenger pulled up a video recording on his scroll. Playing on it was a first-row view of what had happened outside. [Gae Bolg!]
Watching the video, Vermillion Raddock went silent. The messenger could understand, considering what he had just watched. He had never seen that level of destructive power ever before dealt with by a single person. It seemed too unreal to believe. 'It couldn't be… But there's no other explanation.' Vermillion Raddock felt his heartbeat speed up as he spoke.
"Call everyone back! Every Huntsman, Huntress, and member! Do it now!" The messenger nodded frantically as he quickly ran out of the room. After having him do so, Vermillion Raddock stood up and turned around. Behind where he was sitting seemed to be a normal wooden wall. However, pushing it caused a mechanical reaction.
The wall slid aside, revealing a fairly large box. Taking the box out, he opened the lid, and inside was a strange-looking orb. "Master, I have something to report." The orb covered the strange red orb covered in white plates resembling that of Grimm lit up as if reacting to his words. It began floating as tentacles fell from its lower half.
As it floated in front of him, Vermillion Raddock kneeled. It only took a moment for the calm voice of a woman to echo into the room. "Why have you called me. Unless an emergency occurs, I told you never to contact me." Vermillion Raddock kept his head down as he answered. "But one has occurred, Master. We are under attack by the White Fang."
The woman's voice came from the orb once more. "You should be able to handle such a crisis without me. After your previous failure, you should feel lucky I let you live. Now then, if you have nothing else to say…." Vermillion Raddock raised his head as he spoke with the utmost confidence.
"I believe one of our attackers is using magic."
