Atlas Military Base

"Let's see here… Pyrrha, I know we kept your sear row clear to avoid distractions, but do you mind letting these two sit near you?" Hearing the teacher Pyrrha nodded. "Of course not." Clapping her hands together, the teacher smiled. "Perfect then, Shen, Blake please take your

seats. If you don't understand anything, Im sure Pyrrha can help you shes our brightest after all."

Making their way to their seats Shen and Blake sat down. "Your name is Pyrrha, right? Sorry, I didn't catch your name at first. Again it's nice to meet you." Hearing Shen Pyrrha a bit shocked as she the sentiment. "Likewise… Do you two not recognize me?" Blake was about to say something as Shen cut her off.

"No? Sorry, she comes from a place pretty far cut off from the world. And me even more so. Why do you ask?" Pyrrha looked surprised as she laughed. "No reason at all. Although I won't be here for much longer, I hope we get along." For the rest of his time there, Shen was a completely normal student.

Although due to him not growing up in the world of RWBY, he had to actually pay attention to understand anything. 'Reincarnated, and I still somehow manage to get myself stuck doing school work.' By far, that was the longest day he had spent in this world. In contrast, he was lucky enough to have Pyrrha and Blake assisting him through the process.

"Alright, Class that should wrap things up for today. Tomorrow we will be focusing on history so try to study everything I've gone over today as much as possible." Shen's interest was basically rock bottom at this point. When the class was finally dismissed, he opened up his scroll and checked for any updates before being disappointed.

'Still nothing from Torchwick on Cinder. At this rate, I might end up spending money on the Gacha System for fun.' The sound of talking broke Shen free of that idea as he looked up. Like before, Pyrrha was swarmed the moment class ended. She was trying her best to focus on everyone and remain calm and smiling.

However, as more of the class gathered, her head turned as she spotted Shen and Blake. "Actually, I promised to show those two around the city today. Sorry..." The people surrounding her seemed disappointed as Pyrrha slipped away from the crowd. Whispering to Shen and Blake, she put her hands together. "Can you two please help me out?"

Standing up, Shen played along without hesitation. "Almost forgot about that. Why don't we go right now?" Blake was caught off guard as she stood up as well, following Shen's lead. "Oh right." Pyrrha sighed in relief as she had an excuse to leave the academy without being bothered. "Thanks a lot sometimes, I really get suffocated by them."

Hearing her, Shen responded in kind. "Of course, although Im surprised you are so famous. It makes sense why you asked If we recognized you." Pyrrha awkwardly laughed as she lowered her head thinking about something. Shen narrowed his eyes as he turned his head and whispered something to Blake. "There are a few things I need to check; before heading back, you go ahead of me."

Hearing what Shen said, Blake looked slightly disappointed as she glanced towards Pyrrha. "Ok… I'll be waiting. Just let me know if you need anything." Shen patted her on the head and smirked. "Good girl and try your best to get along with Neo. You and her will be working closely together from now on."

Blake was used to Shen patting her at this point as she acted submissive and nodded. Reluctantly she eventually left as Shen turned his attention back to Pyrrha. "You know if you don't mind I could definitely still use that tour of the city. And I do have a few questions about Argus and how everything works."

Raising her head she was clearly a little surprised hearing Shen actually wanted her to show him around. But just a moment later she gave him a smile and replied. "Sure it'll be nice to take a break and roam around before I head home." Clapping his hands together Shen smirked. "Great then let's go shall we?"

With that Pyrrha and Shen did exactly what they said they would. Unlike Blake, he acted more ignorant around Pyrrha about certain matters especially her fame. And as if she enjoyed the feeling Pyrrha found herself having a rather good time showing him around. It was only after around an hour and a half that Shen asked her a slightly strange question.

"So how does security work here in Argus? Also, who's in charge?" Pyrrha was caught off guard for a moment as Shen covered his words up. "The place I came from was fairly out of the way so laws were very lax… It wasn't the safest place growing up." A look of understanding washed over her as she relaxed.

"I see that makes sense. Well, no worries Argus is one of the safest places imaginable." Pyrrha began explaining things to Shen like the various police stations around the city and whatnot. "As for who's in charge it really depends. Military wise the city depends on the Foreign Atlas Base built on the islands just north of here so the Special Operative in charge there has the most power."

Shen nodded quoting all of that to memory as Pyrrha said something else. "However, the person who is in charge of Argus and gives orders to the Police Chief would be our Mayor. Even our Headmaster had to listen to them." Putting a hand to his chin Shen found that bit of information interesting. "Well, that's good to know. Thanks for this Pyrrha."

Having his thanks she shook her head. "It's fine I actually had a lot of fun just walking around the city. I haven't had the chance to relax like this for a while" Pyrrha didn't let Shen say anything as she looked up and saw the sun was getting fairly low. "Oh, im going to be late. See you later Shen and say hi to Blake for me."

Shen watched Pyrrha run off as she waved. He waved as well until she disappeared from view and his smile turned into a grin. 'Looks like my first target will be that Atlas Military Base then. After such a boring day having something fun to do at night will be great. Besides, it's been too long since I've done something solo.'

Returning back to their base set up here in Mistral dark clouds began to roll over Argus. Shen immediately made his way to the top floor where he searched around for someone. His eyes scoured the halls until eventually, he spotted her leaning against a wall with her eyes closed. "Neo there you are, I was looking for you. I need you to do something for me."

Opening her eyes Neo looked at him with a dissatisfied look on her face. "Why don't you get you just get that girl to help you?" Shen leaned in towards and looked at her causing Neo to avert her eyes. "Because what I need you to do is extremely delicate. You're the only person fit for the job." Hearing that Neo stared at him for a second before speaking.

"Fine." Hearing her quiet answer Shen stood back up straight. "Good all you need to do is pretend to be me and stay here for the next… Hour or so. Besides that, there's something I've wanted to test out. If you help me Ill let you be the first one to try it." Neo couldn't hide her interest but at that point, Shen had fully backed off and had walked away.

Relaxing for a second Neo shook her head to herself. Slowly her appearance began to change as her height increased and features morphed. Within seconds you couldn't differentiate her and Shen who had just left. Shen didn't waste a single moment as the moment night fell he made his way back outside into the city of Argus.

The rain had begun to downpour and the moon was barely shining through the clouds making everything fairly dark. Wearing his old White Fang mask Shen was dressed in their normal attire. From the outside, if it wasn't for Gae Bolg in his hands it would be impossible to tell who Shen was.

On top of one of the two large hills surrounding Argus was a very large tower drawing the buildings in the city in terms of height. This was a CCTS tower and is what connected Argus to the rest of the world. There were only a few 'Main' CCTS towers that existed in the world and they allowed the world of Remnant to stay connected. If one went down like in the original story then that chain of connection would be broken.

As for the one in Argus, it was nowhere near as important as the main ones. However, it still was what allowed people and the Military in Argus to perform long-distance communications to other cities and whatnot. Standing just outside of the fence surrounding the tower two guards were stationed. Despite its importance, the security around the CCTS tower was surprisingly lax.

"Can't believe I got put on duty again tonight."

"I know right I can't believe Mike called out like that."

The two guards spoke with one another as they heard a third voice interject. "Your right Mike does sound like an asshole." Turning their heads the guard on the right couldn't even react. Piercing straight through his chest and hurt heart Shen's figure had appeared in front of him in an instant. The guard's eyes widened before losing their light.

His partner who was to the left of Shen seemed to still be in shock as he reached for his gun. However, before he could Shen pulled Gae Bolg from the now-dead guard's chest and twisted it in his hand. The pointed end of the Gae Bolg pointed directly at the guard's throat as Shen thrust it through his neck.

A wave of violent electricity flowed through Gae Bolg as the guard's body twitched and shook. Its entire being was fried beyond recognition before Shen removed Gae Bolg from his neck. In a matter of seconds both guard's bodies fell to the ground. "Now then." Turning his gaze to the CCTS tower Shen lightning began crackling in his free hand.

Sometime later, Shen's actions didn't go unnoticed. The foreign Atlas base was connected to Argus through a series of one main bridge which branched into two. These bridges lead to two separate islands. One of these islands was used as a landing area for their Atlesian airships. The other served as the main base and it's where the control center was located.

It was built into a large rocky spire on the island and was well defended. However at this moment a rather short is stature old woman had her hands behind her back within the control center. Atlas Guards were working away at the holographic screens in front of them and she surveyed them.

"Mam I think we have a problem!" One of them turned and spoke to the woman in charge as she inquired. "What is it?" The man turned and pointed to his screen. "The CCTS tower has gone down and we have lost communications with the guards stationed there." Her eyes widened as she walked up to the screen pushing him out of the way.

"How did this happen!" She yelled at the guard she had pushed as he raised his hands. "Im not sure mam! I thought it was a bug or connection issue and have been trying to reconnect with the tower for the past twenty minutes." She glared at him for a moment before turning around and looking towards the guards standing next to the entrance of the control center.

"Send-" Before she could even bark out an order everyone's eardrums shook violently. Covering their ears everyone heard the sound of lightning striking down. At the same time, it felt like the entire base had shaken as the woman in charge fell to the ground along with a few others. A second later alarms began going off as and red warning lights began turning themselves on.

"What the hell is going on?" Standing back up she ran over to the window at the front of the room overlooking the rest of the base. "What…" Her words trailed as she saw the bridge they had connecting them to Argus had been destroyed. Standing center stage on their side of the destroyed bridge Shen cracked his neck.

"Time to get to work."
