Qin Qianyu went into her studio room and collected the chest.
She removed the leather satchel and found the accompanying book.
"Phoenix cries, Dragons roar. Heh! Sounds like a web novel chapter title."
Upon reading the first few pages of the book she found that it spoke about 20 specially made jade capped silver needles.
A thought came to her and she opened the leather satchel.
"19 needles, if this set of needles are indeed from the Phoenix cries then there's a needle missing."
Qin Qianyu opened up a page which detailed the needles in length. She examined both the book's contents and needles she had on hand and found that they both matched each other.
"One in the same!"
The one needle that was missing was known as the Silver Phoenix talon. Qin Qianyu made note of this and decided to do her own investigation into where this needle maybe.
As Qin Qianyu engrossed herself in self study with the acupuncture book a pair of siblings were jogging in the joggers park close to Wú Dang Studio.
"Bother give it up she's not here,"
"Just another 10, no 15 minutes more."
"Argh! Don't you understand? Why would someone come back to a place where you met a creepy stalker?"
The tall handsome young man flared up and threw a stink eye at his sister,
"Wen Wú Ling! It was just a misunderstanding, once I find her again I'll explain all of it to her properly."
"Yeah right! You call this a misunderstanding?"
Wen Wú Ling states as she pulled out her phone and showed an image she grabbed from the security feed which showed her brothers lewd expression as he jogged behind Qin Qianyu.
"You! . . Delete that right now!"
The handsome young man exclaimed in shame. His sister just smirked as she put her phone away,
"Wen Wú Ping give it up, I've already said it before, just because you're handsome doesn't mean every single woman wants you. Why are you making your younger sister play the role of the older sister? If you don't sort yourself out I'm calling eldest bro."
Wen Wú Ping flinch at the mention of his elder brother. He fell into thought before he sighed loudly then nodded his head.
"Alright let's go, I'll treat my little 'big' sister to lunch at Century for spending her precious weekend with me before we fly home."
"Yay!"
The siblings made a beeline towards the exit and disappeared from the area.
The pair didn't notice the person siting on a bench. The whites of that persons eyes were layered with a tint of redness as if they had not slept.
At this point that person was seething because they had caught a glimpse of a person on Wen Wú Ling's phone.
It was the image of Qin Qianyu.
The person sitting on the bench was Murong Meimei, after heading to her home last night she got into a loud and heated argument with her grandmother.
She left then and there and came to this park to sleep because it was at least safer than most of the other places she knew.
"Qin Qianyu again! Why is it her again! Argh! It's like she lives just to give my life hell!"
Murong Mei cursed internally. She blamed all her current misfortune on Qin Qianyu, her once easily manipulated and impressionable puppet had now cut its strings and become her very own master.
"Watch how I ruin you bitch!"
A crooked smile formed on Murong Meimei's face causing those that saw this to feel uneasy at the sight.
Meanwhile back in the studio room, grandpa Wú had returned from an outing to find Qin Qianyu in a trance like state.
"Hoho! Very interesting! She's even able to enter a state of enlightenment! Hehe! My disciple is so good!"
Grandpa Wú glanced at the items strewn about the room. His eyes landed on the BEE magazine as a thought crossed his mind,
"Should I go and meditate too?"
A cheeky smile formed on his face as he stretched out for the magazine. However, as his hand was a few inches from its desired target, Grandpa Wú caught some movement in his periphery.
The whole action was a blur and soon he found that he couldn't move. He cocked his eyes around and found several needles stuck to his body.
"Still as water!"
Qin Qianyu muttered softly as her hands returned to a resting position above the open satchel.
Grandpa Wú looked at his disciple, shock clearly visible as her eyes were still closed. Soon her hands started to move again like a blur, she had collected the needles that were embedded in her master then in the same fluid motion the needles entered different points on grandpa Wú.
"Hot as fire!"
Qin Qianyu muttered again. Grandpa Wú started felling the effects of the needles as his internal body heat started raising making him and his clothing damp from his own sweat.
He started cursing in his mind because the points attacked by his student caused him to loose the ability to speak let alone move.
Because of the urge to "meditate" Grandpa Wú had become a living training dummy for his student's acupuncture training.
This went on for hours until Qin Qianyu came out of her enlightened state. When she did she was greeted with her master's horrid stare.
"Grandpa Wú you're back!"
Qin Qianyu exclaimed happily, ignoring the state of her master. She took stock of the situation and noticed his outstretched hand and what was at the end of that hand.
Her face twisted as did her lips as she sneered at her master.
"Dirty old man! Filthy old dog! What are you doing Huh!?"
Grandpa Wú was livid! His face twisted more than his student's face as he bellowed out at the teenager.
"What am I doing!? You wretched disciple! I'm doing what you made me do! That's what!"
Grandpa Wú explained how he saw Qin Qianyu had entered an enlightened state and came to check on her, however he got caught by her as she started flinging and removing needles into him for over four hours making him feel the effects of each technique she displayed.
"Oh! Really!?"
"Oh! Really! Your damn head!"
"Haha, Respected Master! have a seat, let me get you something to drink."
Qin Qianyu nodded and jumped up quickly and disappeared from her room. After a wee while she returned with a refreshing pot of calming tea.
"Master drink first,"
"Hmph!"
Grandpa Wú caught the teens cute smile and for some reason, upon seeing it, he couldn't get angry at her anymore.
"You still see me as your master!?"
"Grandpa Wú don't be mad okay, in all honesty even if I wanted to I probably couldn't stop seeing as I was in such a state to begin with right?"
"Haise! But you really surprised me you know, tell me, have you found yourself processing information faster than you previously could?"
"Umm, I'm not sure, I've got nothing to base this hypothetical of yours off. How about you teach me some fighting techniques then you can gage wether it's my ability to process the information quicker."
"Mhm, alright, let's get started then."
"Ohh yeah!"
The pair headed into the studio then grandpa Wú explained the origins of this first form he was about to teach her.
"Our military use a variation of this fist, but because they don't know the breathing exercise I've taught you they can never do the original version. After I've shown you and you've learnt it well we will be the only two that can use this fist in its purest form."
"I understand master."
Qin Qianyu nodded seriously. Grandpa Wú liked the determination and willingness in her eyes. He smiled back at her and told Qin Qianyu to follow his example.
In a few moments the pair were in sync with each other.
This went on for another four hours. Qin Qianyu had learnt 5 fist and 8 kick techniques, and an entry level movement technique.
"So master, is it as you thought? Have I opened my mind to another level that helps me process things faster and better?"
"Mhm, I can confidently say that this is true. And it will only get better as you continue to use the breathing exercise."
"Hehe! It's all thanks to you!"
"Mhm, remember, we are more capable than just throwing punches and kicks. The best weapon against any opponent is still this,"
Grandpa Wú says while tapping his own head indicating to Qin Qianyu that his meaning is the brain.
Qin Qianyu nodded in affirmation.
"Alright for the next month, do the breathing exercise every morning and then these sets of techniques I've just shown you. Don't miss a day."
"I won't, I'll come here everyday and leave for school from here also."
"Good, alright go wash up and I'll treat you to dinner,"
"Ah sorry master, it's my turn to cook at home for my family tonight, how about you join us?"
"Oh? Is that fine?"
"Of course it is."
"Alright, let's do that."
The pair washed up and changed. They left the studio but before heading home she and grandpa Wú went to the secondhand store.
"Why are we here Xiaoyu? Do you need more clothes?"
Qin Qianyu shook her little head and let out a long sigh softly,
"I have to return these clothes, apparently this isn't a second hand clothing store, it's a high end clothing store named Secondhand. These clothes are so expensive, but I only paid 1400 yuan for them. I don't want to get in trouble nor do I want the staff to get into trouble. I hope they don't mind that I've worn the dress otherwise I'll have to see if I can do part payments."
Qin Qianyu stated as she dragged the old man in with her. As soon as the staff saw who had entered they all ran up making two rows and offered a bow.
"Greetings Master Wú, Greatings Little Miss,"
" . . . "
"Huh!?"
Qin Qianyu looked to the staff then to grandpa Wú. He sighed then hurried to explain
"Xiaoyu, I had already settled the bill, the 400 yuan was just to pay for the bags,"
"What! The bags here cost 200 yuan each!? 200 yuan for a plastic bag!?"
"Mhm, that's right. I gave the store a call yesterday telling them that I was sending you over and to bill me for all the purchases you made. Those loose notes were just the fee for the bags."
"Oh, but why?"
"What do mean why? It obviously because you're my one and only disciple. These were part of the gifts for taking you as my disciple."
Grandpa Wú waved off the staff and he and Qin Qianyu left the store and head back to Qin Qianyu's home on a taxi.
She called ahead telling her parents that she would be bringing a guest home for dinner and asked if anything was needed for home.
"I'm back!"
Qin Qianyu called out as soon as she entered. She quickly went to the shoe closet and brought out a pair of bunny eared slippers for grandpa Wú.
"Hehe, we hardly receive extinguished guests, you don't mind though right?"
Grandpa Wú chuckled and shook his head, when Qin Haoran and Ouyang Zihan heard the older voice they looked at each other, puzzled.
The couple got up and headed towards the door to see their daughter helping grandpa Wú into a pair of novelty slippers.
"Ah Grandpa Wú these two are my mother and father."
"Greetings elder I am Qin Haoran, father to Yu'er,"
"Good evening elder, I am Ouyang Zihan, I am Xiaoyu's ste . . Ah mother, Yu'ers mother. "
"Hoho, thank you for having me, I am Wú Haodong. Call me however makes you comfortable."
