Chapter 31: New Slate

The two girls headed to a cafe nearby. As they did they were both attracting looks wherever they went.

Some where secretly taking photos of the pair, while others tried their luck by showing their boldness and approaching them.

But no matter how charming, handsome, or rich they were the two girls weren't having any of it.

They found an empty booth and both placed their orders and while they waited the pair chatted away happily.

Both girls were surprised when they learnt that they were both the same age, not only that but the pair were only days apart, Wú Ling was older by five days.

"That means I'm your big sister! That settles it! Xiaoyu will be my little sister from now on."

"Haha, alright big sister Wú Ling."

The pair chatted more over their breakfast, and found that they had a lot in common with each other.

Qin Qianyu thought back to the other day when her mother had told her to just be 15,

It felt nice having a meal with this new friend that she has made.

"I have to thank the creep stalker, it's allowed me to meet such a great new friend."

Wen Wú Ling happily exclaimed. Qin Qianyu laughed and nodded in response.

"I feel the same way, speaking of which, I do hope the police catch him this time, it's really scary that people like him are still lurking and that he keeps coming back to that particular park, it's like he's addicted to the place."

"Argh, forget him, let's not ruin our time with talk about scum like him. As you know I'm not from here so what's good in this city? How about you show me around?"

Qin Qianyu had nothing much planned for the day she only had to treat the young boy later in the evening and when she got back from the capital the next day.

Just as she was about to reply, a shrewd voice sounded out loudly causing everyone to look in their direction

"Ewww, is that Qin Qianyu!?"

"Ewww yes! It's her, the slutty sugar baby! I can't believe such a slut goes to our school!"

"Haha, well she use to, she was expelled for being such an amoral shameless slut."

"Agh! I've lost my appetite, let's go eat some place else."

After the two girls said as much they both left the cafe. The other diners were silent but over time, would cast judgemental glances over at Qin Qianyu.

Qin Qianyu had no reaction whatsoever, she paid no mind with what they were saying. She looked up at Wen Wú Ling and saw concern in her eyes.

Qin Qianyu offered a small smile,

"Sorry about that. Just so you know it's not true what they were saying."

"Mhm, I believe you, but forget that, are you alright!? They said some really nasty things just now."

"Hey! Shall we both go and drop kick them together!?"

"Pfft! . . "

"I'm fine, it doesn't matter what they said, I'm not affected by it because I know it's not true. Why be upset at a persons ignorance?"

"Awesome! Haha, I don't believe someone who would perform a wrestling move on a guy to protect a complete stranger would do such things those girls claimed."

"Well part of it involved that stalker guy, it seems this city is filled with strange people."

Qin Qianyu said as she opened up the schools forum and showed Wen Wú Ling the post.

She read it, the testimony read more like a vengeful tirade of unrequited love then she saw the pictures which included pictures of her brother and Qin Qianyu.

Wen Wú Ling recalled when she and Qin Qianyu were at the duty officers station the video of her brothers attack and him pulling Qin Qianyu's underwear over his face replayed in her mind, the images in the post didn't show the entire picture.

"Wait! Those girls said you were expelled so did your school even do an investigation into this matter!?"

Qin Qianyu didn't have the energy to explain what had happened inside the Deans office.

She tapped the screen of her phone a few times and brought up a video.

It was the day she was handed her expulsion letter. Wen Wú Ling watched it and was livid when it ended.

"This scrawny prick! How could they expel you without investigating thoroughly!?"

" . . . "

"This! Can you send me a copy of this please Xiaoyu. You see, my mother works in the ministry of eduction, this guy should be used to set an example."

Qin Qianyu was surprised by what she heard and saw the angry look on Wen Wú Ling's face. Qin Qianyu waved her off.

"You don't have to mind it, at most I would have only stayed at the school for another 6 weeks anyway, even if this incident didn't happen, so you don't have to mind it, really,"

"But, still . . How can you stomach this injustice don't you feel aggrieved by all of them doing all of this?"

"Mhm, Nope! Like I said, it's not true, I've done nothing wrong, shameless, scandalous or amoral, so there's no point. In the end It'll all be unnecessary."

Wen Wú Ling wanted to plead some more, but could only sigh. Since Qin Qianyu didn't want to take this forum matter any further there was nothing else she could do.

"Okay, I'll leave it alone . . For now that is. But if I hear anyone else mention it, then I'm telling my mum."

Qin Qianyu laughed then shook her head,

"The reason I don't care about that school or it's immature student body is because I'll be entering SIC in 6 weeks, I'm confident in my abilities and believe I have a good chance to enter the top 5,"

Wen Wú Ling's eyes went wide as she slapped the table, she stood straight up and went in close to Qin Qianyu.

"You have to come to Zhishi! You have to aim for number one and come to Zhishi with me!"

Qin Qianyu was astonished when she heard what Wen Wú Ling said.

"You! You already got into Zhishi University!?"

Qin Qianyu asked, excitement clearly in her voice. Wen Wú Ling put her hands on her hips and cocked her head up,

"Haha! Praise your big sister! Go ahead! Praise me!"

Wen Wú Ling then went on to explain that she got invited to join Zhishi university's upcoming semester because of a series of events, the main one being that she skipped so many classes and finished her senior year already.

She would be joining the school of computer science.

"This, this girl is a genius a genuine genius. Compared to me with my knowledge cheats, this person, Wen Wú Ling!? But why don't I remember her? Could it be that something bad happens to her?"

Qin Qianyu left that thought there and told her of her wanting to join the biology department, but current thoughts are now leading towards medicine.

The pair finished their meal and Qin Qianyu suggested that they could meet up after washing up.

"I have my clothes with me, I just need a shower! How about I just shower at your place?"

"Are you sure? My home is a little rough to put it gently."

Qin Qianyu didn't want to take Wen Wú Ling to the studio, she didn't want people to know or see Bai Saan.

"You're still alive aren't you? or . . "

Wen Wú Ling started poking Qin Qianyu's cheek with her index finger.

"Ahh, Nope! Still alive, Not dead!"

Qin Qianyu laughed as she slapped the girls finger away. She was feeling great, it felt like she was able to let loose now and act this body's age.

She couldn't help but feel that ever since she started training her perception and gauging of people had entered another level.

It was as if she could see though people and their intentions, see into their innermost heart and soul, good or bad.

Qin Qianyu agreed and she along with Wen Wú Ling left the cafe shortly after.

The pair arrived at Qin Qianyu's building and as they entered the hallway that led to the front door, Qin Qianyu frowned at what she was seeing.

"Miss, like I said, Yu'er isn't home right now. Please stand up."

Qin Qianyu and Wen Wú Ling looked at each other. Wen Wú Ling took an index finger and pushed up between Qin Qianyu's brow evening out her frown.

Qin Qianyu gave a slight sigh from her nostrils and pursed her lips.

"Ahem, student Lu, is there anything?"

Lu Mingxi was still bowing to Ouyang Zihan, when she heard Qin Qianyu's voice, the girl froze up a little but then she collected her thoughts and offered an even deeper bow.

"Qin Qianyu, I'm here today to apologise to you in person. What I did that day was, is, horrible, gutless, inhumane and inexcusable."

Lu Mingxi then fell to her knees and slammed her head hard into the concrete floor.

"Ahhh!"

Ouyang Zihan screamed as she saw and heard the loud thud as Lu Mingxi kowtowed.

"I am so sorry for everything! It was all my fault and mine alone. Please accept my apology."

Lu Mingxi stated then lifted herself and was about to go down again but her head didn't meet the hard floor, it was met with a soft warm palm.

"It's fine, Mingxi, I forgive you. Please stand up."

Qin Qianyu picked the dazed girl up and led her along with Wen Wú Ling into her home.

Wen Wú Ling nudge Qin Qianyu,

"Xiaoyu! What an extremely interesting life you live! You're just like broadcasting station!"

Qin Qianyu cocked an eyebrow at the upbeat teen beside her and asked questioningly with her eyes,

"Daytime dramas galore!"

"Pfft!"

Qin Qianyu and Wen Wú Ling both looked at Lu Mingxi who couldn't hold in her laugh and shared the laugh with her.

Everyone was seated, Ouyang Zihan brought out some ice to place on Lu Mingxi's rising purple bruise on her forehead.

"Maybe we should all head to the hospital, it looks quite bad you know!"

"Thank you Mrs Qin, it's fine, really."

Ouyang Zihan noticed the tense atmosphere and decided to give the girls some space.

"Alright, but if your still feeling drowsy I'm taking you straight to the hospital. You girls call me if you need anything."

"Thanks mum,"

The three girls watched Ouyang Zihan head into the kitchen. Qin Qianyu Sighed lightly.

"Lu Mingxi, what are you doing here? Have you forgotten about the document we signed?"

"Ah no, I haven't forgotten. Please take this, there's 10 million on it, the pin is 0000. But if you sue, that's fine too, I'll accept the penalty and you can still keep the card."

She realised the error of what she had did that day and wanted to make things right. However,

Lu Mingxi passed over a gold card. Qin Qianyu didn't accept it though. Lu Mingxi saw this as her not wanting to let things go.

Her bottom lip started to quiver, but she knew that things wouldn't be easily mended. If she wanted to form a friendship with Qin Qianyu, it was going to take time and that's if Qin Qianyu wanted to form a friendship with her to begin with.

But she had realised that she many not have that time as she heard that Qin Qianyu was expelled from school the other day.

Ever since that day the Fox healed her, her mind has been getting clearer by the day and this affected her attitude I turn for the better.

When she saw the post and the contents of it, she then realised that Qin Qianyu was being schemed against.

"I uh heard about the post, I don't believe it because my family has some ties to the Jing family and that guy in the photos, neither I, or my family have any idea who he is. But if you need my help clearing your name, then please let me know. Anyway, uh because you were expelled, I was uncertain where you would be going and I . . I wanted to make things right between us in case you moved away and I lost the only chance to do so."

"So Um, that's why I came here, I'm sorry for inconveniencing you and your family by turning up unannounced like this all just to satisfy my selfish desire. I'm truly sorry."

After saying as much there was an awkward silence that permeated in the room. At its peak it was truly unbearable, but, luckily, It was soon broken.

"Hello! I'm Xiaoyu's big sister, what was it that you did that you had to bash you head in like that?"

" . . . "

"Don't mind her,"

Qin Qianyu mumbled to Lu Mingxi, then she turned to Wen Wú Ling and added,

"You, be good and go wash up okay!"

"Awww! . . Fine, but one of you have to tell me all about it later! This, it's like I've watch the sequel before seeing the first one. I can binge soaps all day long you know!"

"Tsk! Get!"

"Hahaha! Alright, I won't be long . . "

Wen Wú Ling placed a hand on Qin Qianyu's shoulder and whispered before she left,

" . . and do talk to the poor girl, it takes a lot of courage and heart to admit to mistakes and to try make things right."

As Wen Wú Ling left, Qin Qianyu was lost in thought. She was stuck at her own crossroad, she could go backwards, doing so will leave Mingxi alone and the two would never meet ever again.

She could go right, doing so would see Qin Qianyu giving Mingxi what she gave out that day. An eye for an eye.

She could go left, doing so will mean that although she forgives Mingxi, she would never ever forget what she did and nothing more would come of it.

If she went forwards, then she would be willing to give Mingxi a chance, a clean slate, as they both move forwards together.

As Qin Qianyu thought of the last option, her mind drifted to Song Zhaoge and Murong Meimei.

If she did it for one, could she do it for other's like those other two? She could answer that right now.

No!

She would bare her grudge against the pair for life. She wanted to see them both dead, that fact has never changed. The both of them will die by her hands no matter what. Then there's the song family, she'll make sure that they all face the same experiences that they had put her through.

The life of both her and her unborn child will definitely find redemption with their lives in misery.

As she thought to here Qin Qianyu looked at Lu Mingxi who hadn't lifted her head since she sat down.

Qin Qianyu understood the the girl was just a borrowed knife, a mind easily manipulated and used by someone much more evil natured.

"Mingxi, thank you for coming here in person, thank you for your sincere apology and thank you for worrying about me."

"I accept your gratitude, I accept your sincerity and respect and commend your courage. But,"

"But I reject that card and I won't be following through with the document. I don't want or need your money, I didn't need it, even before meeting you, and I don't need it after meeting you. Please keep the card."

Lu Mingxi nodded and put the card away, her eyes started to well up and Qin Qianyu saw this,

"If you want to cry, do so, emotions are a very human thing you know."
