Qin Qianyu readied the machine she would use while conducting a haematological analysis of Xiao Yixuan's blood.
Preliminary test came out straight away, but Qin Qianyu wanted a more comprehensive look into her blood tests so that she could breakdown the chemical structure of the poison in her blood stream.
From her initial diagnosis of Xiao Yixuan at the scene, she could only make two positively sound judgments, they were A. Xiao Yixuan was poisoned and B. The poison targeted her womb.
The machine separated the blood into solids and liquid.
Qin Qianyu checked the plasma first before the solids because she wanted to see what and where her salts and protein levels were at.
Qin Qianyu then moved onto the white blood cells then the platelets within the solids.
She frowned deeply at the results of her findings.
If Xiao Yixuan were pregnant, her white blood cell count would be doubled to what the results she had showed.
Xiao Yixuan's platelets count was worse, it showed that she has thrombocytopenia.
This is when the platelets count is far too low. This also extremely dangerous as any cuts received will not heal as platelets are the cells needed for blood clots.
"If she were pregnant this would be fine, but this early toxicology report tells me that there's something in her system that's poisoning her and it's harming the womb . . . How can she be pregnant and not at the same time?"
Qin Qianyu muttered. As she dwelled on the question she absentmindedly glanced at her phone.
A news article popped up showing a poster for an up coming historical drama. Her eyes went wide as a revelation hit her,
"A false pregnancy! She's being hustled. But who would have the balls so big to tangle with a commander of a four winds taskforce?"
"If it's someone of equal status, or higher!? . . No, why go through all that hassle, it must be someone who doesn't know her identity as the commander of PIT."
Qin Qianyu did a quick internet search for PIT, all of the broadcasts she watched she never saw the commander once.
"Seems like they don't know her identity."
Four hours passed and the results she was waiting for arrived.
She looked over all the chemical components and the one that stuck out for Qin Qianyu was the toxic compounds of a root called Gunsui.
She now had a fair idea of what was going on. The why?, she'd leave that for Xiao Yixuan to figure and sort out as these were all her own personal affairs.
Qin Qianyu set out working on a remedy for the commander and also to strengthen her womb.
Qin Qianyu would need her to come back to the lab for a more comprehensive check up.
"Seems all those other buildings I bought are going to come in handy and be used quicker than I thought."
Qin Qianyu couldn't bring Xiao Yixuan here to her home so she made a satellite site for use elsewhere in the city.
With what Qin Qianyu had in stock she made the commander her cure that was made specifically to target the chemical compounds of the poison and headed to bed shortly after.
Morning came, Qin Qianyu got stuck into her morning ritual as per usual and not long after she had finished her training, the pair called themselves a taxi and headed out for the hospital forgoing breakfast.
Lu Mingyu had called the hospital teacher Mu was in and found out that he was in a shared ward with 7 other patients.
She quickly made arrangements to have him moved to a more private ward and room at her expense.
The pair first went into the city to buy gifts for teacher Mu.
These included many supplements, juices and drinks, fruits, food and snacks. Things to make him more comfortable during his recovery.
The pair entered the hospital and soon found the ward teacher Mu was moved into.
The girls greeted the officers standing guard at his door and then they offered them some drinks and snacks for looking after teacher Mu.
The guards accepted after politely refusing a few times. They actually had no choice as Lu Mingyu shoved the treats into their hands and walked into the room.
"Mingyu! Haha! They told me you were safe! That's good, it's good that you're alright."
"Teacher Mu! . . "
Lu Mingyu muttered apologetically. She placed the gifts down and bowed a full 90 degrees as she offered her thanks to the injured man.
"Teacher Mu, this is all my fault. If it weren't for me you wouldn't have been injured like this or be here to begin with."
"Please accept my deepest apologies teacher Mu."
Mu Liang quickly clambered out of bed to pick the girl up as she was about to kowtow to him after she gave her apology.
"Stop, you don't have to do that, Cheng Yifei is a student of Renshi, you are her friend that was in trouble also. It should be human nature to help those being wronged."
"And as for me being here! You have nothing to apologise for anyway. It's not your fault! Don't ever think for a moment that it is! . . . Do you understand? The fault belongs to the people that attacked us and the ones that gave them the order to do so."
Mu Liang states as he softly pats Lu Mingyu's hand in reassurance.
Suddenly a loud cry sounded out. Lu Mingyu and teacher Mu both looked at the source of that to find Qin Qianyu holding a chart.
"HOLY CRAP! You're only 18? . . How can this be!? Hey! Shouldn't the numbers be swapped around!?"
Qin Qianyu had read the chart yesterday but she didn't take notice of Mu Liang's age till now.
Mu Liang scoffed!
"What!? You think you're the only genius in this country!?"
"You're younger than me?"
Lu Mingyu mumbled, her face went a little red now as she noticed that her hand was still in his as he continued patting.
Knowing the man that saved her was actually a little bit younger than her gave Lu Mingyu mixed feelings.
Qin Qianyu obviously didn't think that she was the only genius. She's met a few of them since coming back from her former life.
Mu Liang was helped back into bed and he explained to the two how his skills were taught by his parents, and because of that he was accepted as a student teacher before being granted a formal teaching position at Renshi.
"My father taught me acupuncture and my mother, therapeutics since I was young."
"Because I had 10 years worth of experience, I helped dad as a student teacher at Yan Zi Chunji school until they both passed away, then a year after that, I was given a teaching position formally by the university and asked to continue on my parents work. That was a few years ago."
"I'm sorry to hear about you parents,"
Both Qin Qianyu and Lu Mingyu say. Mu Liang gave them a nod and smiled.
Now Qin Qianyu understood why he was still under the care of his horrible aunt and her family, it's all because of his age.
Qin Qianyu notice his demeanour was filled with reverence when he spoke of his parents.
The door soon burst open and Dr Cao along with Baobao came in worryingly but mostly angry.
"Liang! Big news! There's big news!"
"Oh look who's here! Baobao, have you been behaving properly?"
Cao Guangyi saw Qin Qianyu and ran up to her excitedly,
"Big sister Yu! . . Baobao's been behaving! Just ask daddy!"
Qin Qianyu picked up Baobao and sat him on her lap as they both sat down on the couch. Lu Mingyu who sat on a chair next to teacher Mu's bedside looked over smiling at the child who was excited to see Qin Qianyu.
Cao Guangyi looked towards Lu Mingyu and exclaimed loudly,
"Whoa! . . Fatty Liang's girlfriend is really pretty."
"Isn't she just! And guess what? She's also my friend! And it would hurt her feelings if you keep calling teacher Mu, fatty Liang. From now on you have to call him Hero Liang every time you see him because he saved my pretty friend okay!"
Lu Mingyu and Mu Liang heard what Qin Qianyu had said.
Lu Mingyu went bright red as she blushed profusely and avoided making eye contact with Mu Liang.
She didn't even say a word of protest her mind seized up on her as she tried to come up with something to change the conversation.
Mu Liang laughed at Baobao and Qin Qianyu's conversation and added,
"It's fine, I've heard that name so much now it'll be weird if I stop hearing it. It's fine I don't mind really."
Qin Qianyu looked at him and although he said it was fine, his eyes still betrayed his true thoughts.
"No it's not fine! And Baobao! If you ever call teacher Mu that or any other mean thing ever again, then I will not speak to you anymore."
Qin Qianyu felt the boy stiffen up as if his favourite food or toy was just thrown away with the garbage.
"From now on it's Mr Mu, Teacher Mu, big brother Mu or Hero Mu! Although all of his titles are true, for me the last one fits him the most because he helped and saved my friend."
"Yes big sister Yu! I got it."
Cao Guangyi got off Qin Qianyu and politely bowed to Mu Liang,
"Sorry big brother Hero Mu for being mean to you."
Mu Liang's lips twitched at the apology. He then glanced at Qin Qianyu and cocked an eyebrow,
"What's this girl doing!?"
Qin Qianyu paid no attention and followed up Baobao's apology,
"Good boy, now go say hello to my friend. That's Princess Lu Mingyu,"
It was her turn now. Her facial tick was more obvious than Mu Liang's though, as she stared at Qin Qianyu questioningly,
Again Qin Qianyu paid no attention as Baobao nodded and added,
"Ohh! She is a princess! . . And the Hero saved the princess, only hero's save princesses you know. Especially when they're in danger and then the hero marries the princess."
"You're a real hero! Haha Hero Mu! Hero Mu!
Cao Guangyi yelled and chanted excitedly.
Qin Qianyu smiled brightly as she saw slight panic in Lu Mingyu at the mention of marriage, her face heated up from the child's innocent words.
Baobao then went up and greeted Lu Mingyu as politely as he could then climbed up and sat on her lap happily. Dr Cao sighed as he looked to his son and shook his head.
"Sorry young lady, my son has me and his mother reading him epics of hero's and fair maidens of late."
"Ah it's fine,"
Lu Mingyu blurred out quickly, as she patted the boys head.
Dr Cao turned on the tv and it was a news report that was making the rounds about disgruntled donation givers and how they had been cheated out of their money by Cheng Yifei's father.
Soon images of the destroyed grave flooded the screen as the reporter spoke about, how, many that saw the action of the grave being destroyed had wanted to intervene but when they were told why they were about to do such a thing and why they wanted to desecrate the grave, all of the bystanders did as their name suggested and stood by.
Each interviewee gave a brief description of what they had witnessed and gave their opinions on the matter.
All of them where dogging on Mr Cheng and his daughter, some even going as far at to say that her end came about because she and her father were so corrupt and lacking any sort of morals.
"Fucking lying scumbags!"
Mu Liang muttered under his breath.
Lu Mingyu gave Mu Liang a light tap and motioned towards the child. He took this to mean he should watch his language and he mouthed back an apology,
"So-rry,"
Lu Mingyu pouted then turned her focus back toward the tv.
Lu Mingyu had a saddened look in her eyes, but because she had Baobao on her lap she tried not to show anything.
Mu Liang noticed this and felt horrible for her and for being unable to do more to ease her troubled mind.
"Why hasn't Zhu Yue done anything yet?"
Lu Mingyu complained in her heart. The more she watched the more depressed she felt. Her body soon shook as she saw one of the people being interviewed.
When she was making a metal note of all the people that had circled her in the warehouse she committed to memory all of their faces and any distinctive markings they had.
What made it worse was that he was also the one that had sneaked attacked her causing Mu Liang to act as her shield and getting seriously wounded.
Suddenly, Lu Mingyu felt a rough but warm hand on her forearm,
"Don't be sad, they'll get caught sooner or later and then will see how they manage to walk down the street after they've all been exposed as the true liars and cheats."
Lu Mingyu tried to smile but her heart betrayed her as her smile went crooked and tears soon, started falling.
"Hero's don't make people cry big brother hero Mu!"
Baobao added as he got off Lu Mingyu, went to the coffee table and retrieved a box of tissues.
But instead of handing them straight to Lu Mingyu he came around to the other side of the bed and placed the box on the draw so that it was within arms reach for Mu Liang.
While Mu Liang watched him, Baobao flicked his head at the box then to Lu Mingyu and he ran to Qin Qianyu and got comfortable on her lap.
"Well done my cute little baobao!"
"Teehee!"
Mu Liang nodded in appreciation to his little 'wingman' and he quickly offered Lu Mingyu a couple of tissues.
Qin Qianyu continued watching the news report, then she checked on her phone and saw there was no mention of the Chen siblings anywhere which also means that their arrest has also been kept under wraps if the police haven't given any sort of statement regarding this.
Qin Qianyu had a fair idea that, they, along with Zhu Yue were planning something big.
She had passed on a lot of information that Su Yin had uncovered so her guess was that the authorities where sifting through them to build a strong net and not let any of the fishes escape.
