The police had their hands full, they had tried to stop the others from leaving but the elder with the young man only whispered a single word making the officers stunned.
"Let them go, it's only a simple matter, besides that, didn't he already pay compensation."
A voice came over the radio.
That young officer turned back to look in a certain direction towards a car parked not to far away.
He did nothing further to the shock of all the onlookers. They quickly became very vocal towards the young officer.
"You! Why aren't you doing your job!? Why are you allowing such thuggish behaviour leave here unpunished!?"
"He's probably in their back pocket there's been a lot of that happening."
"Crooks and tree roots aren't the only crooked things out there it seems."
"If this is the state of our policemen, we may as well all be crooks together! . . It's not like we'll be punished for it anyway."
"Hey officer come with me to first credit union bank! I'd like to make a sizeable withdraw with my knife. With someone like you around who can stop me from doing so right?"
The young officer looked to the growing crowd and their anger and their scathing comments at what had just happened. He could only sigh as he answered back to their criticism.
"If you feel like going up against the Tang family, then be my guest. I'll not stop any of you?"
"Pfft! What use are you in your role if a name scares you this much!? . . Go find another job since you can't even do this one properly!"
" . . . "
The young officer was taken aback, he didn't know how to refute that.
Suddenly a senior officer called to the scene had watch everything unfold while he sat in his vehicle and became furious.
However, he was furious at the crowd of onlookers not at what those men from the Tang family did.
He got out of the car and started berating the onlookers while shaking an accusatory finger at all of them.
"Big families and big corporations keep our country running. You want us to disrupt that balance!? He's already paid the compensation. You! Clear this scene. If anyone resists arrest them! . . Hmph! . . Let's see how big their damn mouths are then!"
If Wu Yihuan was conscious she would have recognised the man immediately. He was the officer that berated Qin Qianyu for smelling like shit at the station while she was waiting for Lu Mingyu.
The crowd of onlookers didn't budge however, they started berating the police.
Many of them were store owners close to or around the old antique store and they were furious at the man's statement.
"We pay our taxes too, we pay our registration fees and local government taxes too yet we don't get the same treatment as those four men! . . "
That senior officer that was being berated finally snapped. He walked up to the middle aged man that just spoke and grabbed him by the collar.
He sneered then executed a forceful takedown manoeuvre slamming the man to the ground.
Soon a small riot broke out and reinforcements were called in to help contain the situation that was sparked by the first responding officers and their actions.
While all of this was going on, the two injured people inside the store, Wu Yihuan and the owner still lay there unattended to.
Riot officers flooded the area and started exercising riot tactics on anyone moving.
The shop keeper had regained consciousness at this point and when he saw the state of his shop and of Wu Yihuan herself, he lept into action to find her some help.
"Sir's I'm glad you're here, a customer was beaten and robbed in my store please get her med . . "
The elder didn't get to finish as the three riot officers he had approached saw him and labeled him a trouble maker along with the other shop owners there and started beating him relentlessly.
It was utter chaos.
Suddenly, a woman and man bowled into the riot officers and pushed them away from the old man.
"What the hell are you doing!? . . He's the one that needed help because he was robbed and beaten and you come in and do the same as those thugs!?"
The three riot officers looked at the duo then to the two injured people laying on the ground.
They soon spotted Wu Yihuan who had both her legs bent the wrong way and laying in a pool of blood.
One of the riot officers looked at the pair still hyped up from the situation and swung out his baton towards the woman.
She side stepped the baton gracefully then stepped in again as if she didn't move from her spot. The man next to her was furious.
He immediately jumped in the air and gave that officer a reverse donkey kick right in the face.
The perspex front face of the helmet shattered scaring the officer into some sense.
One of the other officers saw this and noted that the man was highly trained,
"You! This is official business! Who the hell are you!?"
The man just simply pointed to the pin on his lapel.
"Gaoshan! . . "
The man they were facing was Ma Chen, he just simply nodded in response. The woman was his sister Su Yin.
The pair were heading home together when they came across all this mess. They had heard all about it from others that were there from the start.
The pair also knew most of the people here as they've all lived in the area for some time. So when the pair saw the elder asking for help only to be bludgeoned they both couldn't hold back any more and intervened.
Su Yin turned to the senior officer that lit the powder keg by not defusing the situation.
She pointed a finger at him accusingly as she berated him,
"You! If that old man and that young woman die, let's see how that damned Tang family comes to save you like you did them!? . . You dare to treat the victims like this!?
The senior officer sneered at her. He then yelled out,
"What are you three waiting for!? . . Hit those two idiots!"
"But . . They're related to Gaoshan!"
"Gaoshan my uncle! . . Why the hell would anyone from Gaoshan be here!? It's all too suspicious if you ask me! They're probably fakes! Take them both down!"
Su Yin was pissed, that they would allow the people of the Tang family to leave unscathed, yet she and her brother have been labeled as fakes,
"Why the hell would anyone from the Tang's be here then!?"
Su Yin retorts back at the senior officer.
Soon, a few 10s of luxury vehicles and vans roared up on the scene.
A 100 odd men and women stepped out, all wearing immaculate suits and mauve ties just like Ma Chen.
They were all members of Gaoshan, majority of them security personnel.
Ma Chen had sent a distressed signal to them. Unbeknownst to Su Yin she didn't know that her boss, Qin Qianyu, was the young lady of, and future heir to Gaoshan.
When the senior officer and those three riot officers in front of Ma Chen and Su Yin saw this, they all started to panic some.
Lin Xie walked up to Su Yin and bowed politely,
"Miss Su, what are your orders."
Su Yin cocked an eyebrow and turned slightly to look at her brother. He said nothing and stood to the side and also gave a polite bow.
As Qin Qianyu's personal assistant she needed to be protected, this was the reason Ma Chen called in the distressed signal.
Su Yin had no idea what was happening, she just went along with her brother and all of his friends. She turned and looked to the senior officer, the smug and scathing look he had on his face earlier had gone on a tea break.
She couldn't be bothered with him anymore.
"Protect the people from these bullies, if there are any seriously injured people, make them your priority, render aid as much as possible till medical and ambulance staff arrive. Start with these two here."
"You all heard her!"
Lin Xie bellowed out.
Soon, any civilian on the ground injured or otherwise were soon surrounded and shielded from the riot police and uniformed officers.
Su Yin sent a message to Liu Bing and Zhu Yue to start broadcasting.
She went to several of the onlookers she knew, asking if any of them had recorded the entire incident, and if they had, she directed them to Véridique's online store where they could sell their footage to them for a small reward.
Soon, Liu Bing and Zhu Yue's slow afternoon picked up as they started running the story.
Véridique released an article with the title,
"Police aid Tang Family into creating chaos, Gaoshan picks up the pieces and protects the people."
Shortly after the Tang Riot became the number one top search listing on all major platforms.
In a penthouse apartment in an affluent part of the city, a young man lay on his sofa going through the news.
It was Tang Su Li, former client of Qin Qianyu.
"Hiii, big brother's been busy! Haha! . . Stupid fool! He actually thinks he's untouchable!?"
"Seven!"
"Yes young master Tang,"
"Let's give my elder brother a hand. Prepare a water army, make it obvious that he hired them to push blame onto someone else, here him and them too,"
Tang Su Li pointed out the senior officer and the first officers to arrive at the scene that let his brother go in the first instant.
"Ah! Also make sure that they start claiming that Gaoshan hired those four people as look alike's, let's give Gaoshan a boost up . . . Not that they need it mind you,"
"As you wish young master."
Tang Su Li scrolled through the articles that had appeared and they all sourced Véridique while only changing the title to something a little more click baitable.
He shook his head and mumbled to himself,
"Oh mother, if only you were normal, then your second born wouldn't be just an imbecile that goes around beating and molesting woman."
Seven, the head guard for Tang Su Li went about sorting out the task he was given.
After a few moments, Seven ended his call. He informed Tang Su Li that the water army has been formed and they have all started their attacks on all platforms that picked up the story.
Back at the the large alleyway, several high officials from the capital's main police station arrived on the scene, then several important and key figures of the local government.
They had all seen the videos and articles that Véridique had published and rushed there as quickly as the could.
One of the higher ranked officials from the station was livid.
As a deputy commissioner he had just given a report into police corruption that involved a superintendent and now he has to deal with a second class inspector who caused a riot.
They soon found the senior officer cowering in his vehicle, the young officer that let the four people from the Tang family go was close by also.
He got out of his car and stood with the first responders and and together, they saluted the deputy commissioner.
He frowns at the men then sneered before giving them all a dressing down.
"The people's Gaoshan restore public order in place of the people's police incompetence."
" . . . "
"We've all been painted with the same damn brush as you! All because of what you damn idiots did!"
"You, and you! You instigate a damn riot and also get Gaoshan involved? What were you two idiots thinking? Did you both shit out your brains after breakfast!? Have the pair of you been playing on your damn phones during briefings?
The officers were speechless.
All those that were seriously injured had now been taken away by ambulance to various hospitals.
Su Yin thanked Gaoshan for their efforts and had told them she would treat them all to a meal as a sign of thanks.
"There's no need Miss Su, we're just glad we could help."
Lin Xie replied. He soon gathered up his people and left the scene. Ma Chen and Su Yin did the same.
"This was the mess caused by the police so they can clean up the rest themselves."
The water army was coming in strong on all online platforms.
Posts started appearing stating that Tang Mu couldn't have started the riot because he was in a casino in another part of the country.
Another stating they had seen him at a charity fundraiser and could be verified by many people there.
Another posted a picture saying he and his wife were on their honeymoon and just spotted him on vacation on a Pacific island.
Soon the responses started piling in on the comments the water army posted,
"How can he be in so many places at once?Does he have superpowers? Did he get it from that shop the video was taken?"
"I want that! Please send me details on where to get this superpower,"
"Holy crap! He's a clone! Either that or he has his own teleportation device. Beam me up too Tang Mu!"
"Are water armies getting sloppy now? How can they all say that Tang Mu wasn't there and post these old pictures of him as proof!?"
People weren't dumb, those were obviously paid comments to push responsibility away.
Over in another affluent part of the city, a mansion was currently surrounded by news and people of the media all calling for a statement.
Inside the mansion it was just a manic. Tang Mu was pacing a hole in the lounge room as he spat out in anger at his subordinates,
"Get rid of all these damn comments about me! Find out who owns Véridique and end their damn lives and these two shitty reporters."
"How could you hire idiots to post these things about me!? It's just made me look even more guilty."
The elder that was with Tang Mu now wished he had intervened earlier. At least it wouldn't have gotten this far.
Soon his phone rang and he looked to Tang Mu,
"Young master, . . It's your mother,"
" . . . "
Panic clearly showed on his face, as he shook his head. Fear soon took over as the elder took the call,
"Ma . . Madam?"
"Put that idiot on."
"Yes madam."
He handed the phone directly to Tang Mu.
"Mother, what a surprise! . . How is your trip abroad going?"
"How do you think it's going?"
"I . . I would say it's going good since you're there right?
"Oh? . . So you think just because I'm here, it gives you free fucking reign to cause a fucking riot!?"
"Mother, . . Please calm down, I can fix this!"
"Cut the crap! . . Did you know that because of your antics I've been embarrassed and Tronic have now stated they don't wish to participate with Tang enterprises any longer."
"That was a billion USD deal! . . And it was taken away from me over a damn 10,000 yuan book! You want me to stay fucking calm!?"
" . . . "
"How could I have such a useless piece of shit as a son! You have 24 hours to clean up this shit, or you'll be living in those damn filthy back alleys if you're not in fucking prison!"
" . . . "
The call ended and Tang Mu threw the phone back at the elder.
"Fucking slut! . . It's all her damn fault! Why couldn't she just let me buy the damn book from her!"
"Send a message to my sister, tell her to find everything about everyone involved in today's incident."
"Young master, your sister has cut all ties to the Tang family, She won't ever use Treasures resources to help anyone related to the Tang family."
"FUCK! . . Then message eldest brother! I'm only in this mess because he wanted this fucking old book!"
The elder nodded and went about his duties.
