Tyler's POV
I didn't know what happened all I knew was that my little sister had stopped moving and stopped breathing. Her skin was a deathly pale color and her lips were a blue color. She had a bandage in her neck where she got bit and another one in her ankle, but that was fifty-five minutes ago. I had snapped when she stopped breathing. Jasper was worse from what I remembered. Jasper was being held down in his seat by Caleb, while I was being held down by Sam. I stopped fighting him five minutes ago, but Jasper was still fighting with Caleb.
"How much time does she have left?" Caleb asked Ciara, who was standing over by sister's body protectively.
Ciara looked at her watch "Four more minutes, why?" she asked him.
Caleb gave an are-you-serious look and looked down at a squirming and screaming Jasper. "As you can see I'm having a little trouble with him. His like a demon on the loose," Caleb said push Jasper back down on his seat.
I felt eyes on me "At least Tyler as calmed down somewhat," Sam said.
"Don't judge a book from its cover, Sam. His not calmed down not one bit, I can tell. He just doesn't want to be held down by a guy and his probably thinking she's dead," Ciara said. How can she no be dead? She got fucking bit by two fucking zombies in two different places, I thought to myself, but I wanted to say it out loud but words wouldn't form in my lips. I was still looking at my sister's deathly pale body of hers. I had just lost my only living relative and Ciara, Caleb, and Sam were talking so normal without a care that my sister is dead.
"Why don't you shot her?" I heard someone say, but I didn't bother looking up at how said that.
"Because she's going to wake up in about…" Ciara said "One minute," was all she said and I snapped my head towards and, but I looked at my sister without blinking.
Kayla's POV
I felt the burning inside my body burning my veins and going to my stomach. It felt like a silent hell coursing through my entire being. I didn't screaming to someone to help me, but my body would have looked dead in the human world. I was starting to get my feelings again in my body, but I still couldn't move. The burning got hotter and it was staring to hurt really badly. It was wave after wave of hotness and hurting, but I had to go through by myself and on my own. It was my problem and I was going to suck it up without complaining.
The next wave was the one that made my eyes snap open and I let out an ear piercing scream that I was sure was heard in the heaves up above. I was gasping for air and my heart was beating like crazy, but I didn't worry about for long because I got that throwing up feeling. "Stop the bus," I screamed and gasped at the same time. The bus screeched to a bus and I stumbled to my feet and ran to the door. I could feel the blood going up my throat and in my mouth. I'm guessing I only had a few seconds before I gag the infected blood out of my system. The bus door opened and I jumped of the steps got on my knees throwing up the blood.
I was coughing and throwing up at the same time and it was terrible so was the pain in my stomach. The pain was unbearable, but I held in my screams and just kept throwing up. I felt someone pull my hair away from my face, as I just kept throwing up. My body was weak and by the time I had finished throwing up the pain in my stomach was gone and I was lying on my side curled up in a ball. "Hey," I heard Caleb's voice.
I weakly looked up to his face "T-take me in-inside, p-please," I stuttered weakly and tried to smile, but it wouldn't form on my face. I felt one of Caleb's hands go under leg and the other one was at my back. He lifted me up in his arms and brought me inside the bus the doors closing behind him. He gently sat me down in the same seat I got up from and Ciara came over to me to check on me. The bus started to move again.
Ciara place a hand on my forehead "How you feeling?" she asked me.
I looked at her "Weak, but fine," I whispered. Yes, I was weak, but it doesn't mean I was tired and there was no way in hell I was going to sleep. I felt someone launch themselves to my and I made a grunting noise.
I felt the same arms of Jasper wrap themselves around me "I thought you died," he whispered in my chest. I felt tears about to come out, but I them back. It took me a lot of effort to lift my weak limps and wrapped them him holding him tightly.
I buried my face him hair "I came back didn't I? Like I promised," I told him. I felt my brothers' arms go around me. He held me tightly to his body, even with Jasper on the way he was still able to hug me and hold me. I could tell both of them were crying. I had worried them so much. What the hell is wrong with me? I should have been more careful and not so selfish. I should have brought someone with me, when I went to that gas station. I shouldn't have gone alone, I rambled on my head. I really need to stop talking to myself in my head it's getting very creepy, even for me. "Don't cry you two," I whispered as I held to them both.
Tyler pulled back first "I thought I lost my little sister. I thought I was going o have to kill you, if you became a zombie," I flinched at the word zombie.
I looked at him "Called them Walker's. I don't like the word zombie, dead, or undead," I told him in a whisper. My voice was back yet, so I had to whisper. I looked at Jasper "Loosen your death grip would you? You're making it hard to breath and I just woke up from the dead," I said making them both flinch. I lean by head back and closed my eyes. I felt Jasper loosen his death grip on me making me breath better, but he still wouldn't let go. Tyler was sitting next to me holding my hand.
"Haven't you slept enough?" I heard Sam ask me.
I looked at him "Actually, my body was dead and I was pretty much alive inside my body, so I was awake all the time. My body was just fighting the infection and it hurt and burnt like hell," I told him.
He looked shocked and was about to say something, when Caleb said something "Is that's why you throw up blood?" he asked me.
I nodded "I have a theory about that," I told all of them and closed my eyes once again. No one said anything and I was beginning to fall asleep, until someone spoke up.
"Well, aren't you going to tell us your theory?" Mark and James asked at the same time.
I sigh and opened my eyes "Alright. When my body supposedly dies in the inside it's actually fighting the infection that's why my body dies. Yes, sometime I'm unconscious, but not all the time. I could fell the infection coursing threw my veins all over my body and my body or blood burns it. And that burn courses threw my veins to my stomach. it's like either my body or the none infected blood pushed the infected blood to my stomach and makes me throw it up, but it all hurts like a bitch," I told them relaying the pain and the mental screams I gave myself.
Everything was silent the only thing that you could here was the soft running of the bus motor. I didn't like this silence, because it left me in my own crazy thoughts and plans. The thoughts of the many people I have killed of the past seven months, even if they were humans any more I still didn't like killing them. I mean, they were humans once and they didn't choice to become a flesh eating monster. But that didn't mean I was going to let people die either. The thoughts of my dead parents crossed my mind, but I tried to push it away far away. Everything was making their way to my mind strangling me making me mentally unstable, but I was trying to keep it together. I had people to protect and that's what I was going to do even if it killed me.
"Did it hurt that bad?" Jasper whispered in my chest snapping me back to reality. I still had to look after him and my protective older brothers.
I patted his had gently "Yeah, it was like my own inside personal hell that no one could pull me out," I tried to explain to him as best as I could, but I didn't want him to know this stuff. I didn't want him to know about the pain, but they had a right to know. I will also tell them about my Granny visiting me, but when I am ready and right now I wasn't at the moment.
"I'm sorry," he said apologizing to me.
I lifted his head to make look at me "Listen to me, this was not your fault so don't blame yourself for my mistake. It was my mistake for going along and it was my mistake that I didn't see the legless Walker on the floor making it way towards me. It was not your fault I was to confident on my silent walks and my fast reaction to take down seven Walker's. Please, Jazz don't blame yourself and neither should any of you it was my mistake and my mistake alone," I said sounding strong even in my whisper voice, but I could say it a little louder now.
Jasper had tears running down his face, but he nodded his head telling me that he wouldn't and so did everyone else. Tyler squeezed my hand he was holding "Don't get bit next time," he said and kissed my head. Jasper was now sitting on my lap.
"Why don't you sleep for a while and I'll be right here when you wake up, Sky," Tyler told me, but I shooked my head. "Don't argue with me. It's seven at night and you're not in any condition to argue," he told me and I just sigh, but leaned my head back and closed my eyes. It wasn't two minutes that I had slipped into a sleep.
Stranger's POV
"How many are there at the gate?" I yelled over the gun shots. I was in the front of the line shooting at the dead. Colorado was supposed to be zombie free, but survivors had brought their infected familiars and this is what we got in returned; a shit load of dead people by the main gate only.
I looked over at my partner "Not much for tonight, Lance, but it seems like there are more of them every single fucking day," Toby said over the banging. The gates were holding as best as they could, but I knew they wouldn't hold for long if we don't get them fixed after this.
"Shit, this is not good. We'll have to stay up all fucking night fixing this stupid gate, again," I yelled, but I kept shooting taking out my stress and frustration on the dead. We had a least two hundred people in this place and thankfully some were very helpful others weren't so much, but they learned fast. I shot the last one down with my last bullet and I reload fast. "Get people over here and help fix the gate. We'll move the dead in the morning," I yelled commands to the people around me. The faster we started working on the gate the faster we could go to sleep and some would just keep watch for more dead people. This was going to be a long night for me and I was going to hate it like I always did.
"Fuck my life and luck," I whispered and get to work with the gate with the rest of the group.
