Awoken

"Hello? Prince, this is urgent, Clara is awake."

The voice in the phone was urgent.

Alex heard what she said from the loudspeaker of the phone. His eyes wide surprise and a sense of relief. He tried standing up urgently only to fall back.

"Don't rush yourself" urged Prince. "You need to recover first.

"What happened to Alex?" raised Levi over the phone. "Is he ok? What does he need to recover from?"

"Don't worry about that" replied Prince eyeing Alex to sit down. "We'll be back soon."

"Where have you guys been?" Urged Levi.

"It's almost half nine in the evening, I got the call about Clara 20 minutes ago and you guys still haven't got to the hospital. I know Alex should have got the call."

Before Prince could say anything the was a ruckus coming from the floor below. Someone... actually a few people had entered the building and had started problems with the others. Suddenly there is the sound of crashing.

"What was heck was that?" Syko raises.

"I'm gonna go down and check it out. Most likely troublemakers." Responded Kelsey.

Before Kelsey could take a step, the door burst open with a guy panting. Along with that there was the sound of another table being flipped and a few glasses shattering as well as a bigger uproar.

"There's guys making demands, there's three of 'em and they want the kid." He said whilst pointing at Alex.

"Recon, Syko, both of you head down there and deal with those guys. The boss ain't gonna be happy 'bout the damages so you can use whatever means you feel necessary to subdue them." Said Kelsey. "Alex, you aren't fit to move from here, you may have to stay the night. Prince, once those knuckle heads down there are dealt with, I'll take you back. It seems like the person after Alex is serious, so it isn't safe.

As Prince was about to protest to the idea, Kelsey cut him off.

"You will go back and try explain what's going on, for any of the extra info I will deal with that as I'll be with you. Alex, send me that picture. We need to leave as soon as we can."

Prince nodded with disappointment. "Alex if anything happens, message me as soon as you can."

Alex held his head and nodded. Recon pulled out some knuckle dusters from her pocket and Syko grabbed a baton. They both headed out of the room and made their ways down the staircase. Heading down they put on their face masks.

"Hey fucker!" Yelled Syko before striking one of the vandals in the stomach.

The guy curled over and fell to the floor in pain. The other two stopped what they were doing and hesitantly looked the duo in the eyes.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing to our guy?" One of them exclaimed. "Do you know who we are, we'll kill you!"

Recon and Syko laughed leaving the two guys confused.

"What do you assholes want." Said Recon Still giggling.

"We want this kid," the guy showed a picture of Alex. "We know he's in here and we're not leaving 'til we get him."

"You sad fools are deluded; you're standing in our domain and you're paying these damages with your faces." Said Syko.

One of the guys pulled out a knife but Recon swiftly charged towards him causing him to flinch and struck him under his right eye. The semi-sphere studded knuckle duster making full connection. The other guy shivered but before he could think he was struck in the stomach and again full swing to the back of the head with the baton.

"I guess we'll take our leave now" said Kelsey descending the stairs with an unsure Prince following behind. "You two stay with Alex, we're going to the hospital. I have a feeling there's gonna be more trouble." Kelsey grabbed a helmet from a table and tossed it to Prince. "Put this on, we gotta make 'em think Alex is on the move, they must know both of you are here, but they won't know who left."

Prince put on the helmet with a brave face although he was quaking where he stood. Kelsey put a hand on his shoulder to reassure him of his safety. He smiled and followed Kelsey out the building. She headed to the side to a vehicle parking and hopped onto a motorcycle that looked top of the range, black paint with a faded purple tint as well as a similar coloured helmet that Kelsey popped on. Prince hopped on the back. "Hold on tight to my shoulders, we're gonna be going fast," said Kelsey. She revved the bike and took off.

Prince held himself close to Kelsey scared. His first ride on a two wheeled beast. As Kelsey sped down the highway, she noticed a repeating appearing vehicle in the distance of her mirrors. She kept her distance wide from anything that looked suspicious. Communicating to Prince was next to impossible due to the noise and speed in which they were travelling. Prince kept his head down unaware of the possible threats around him.

Soon enough they arrived in the town, Kelsey slowed down to prevent issues and Prince lifted his head feeling safer at the slower speed. "We were being followed," said Kelsey. Prince didn't respond. "I'll stay outside to keep watch when we get to the hospital, I'll need your number so i can call you if there's any trouble."

"Ok, you be careful too. We don't know how many of them there is" responded Prince. They pulled up in front of the hospital and Prince quickly hopped off and ran in.

"Wait you forgot... to take off your helmet" raised Kelsey as Prince ran not hearing a single work. He made his way in and called Levi.

"Where are you guys, I'm here" he breathlessly asked. He headed through into the room where Clara laid in a bed with both Levi and Kellin in seats next to her. They had a look of trouble on their face and Kellin stood up to engage. "Wait wait it's me" exclaimed Prince as he removed the helmet. He went in and hugged Clara. "Thank goodness you're ok."

"Where's Alex?" Asked Clara. Prince stepped back ready to explain it all.

"Is he ok? Something was wrong when I called you guys" added Levi with a look of worry.

"Why do you have motor helmet?" Asked Kellin.

"Alex is in another town. He's ok for now, he's with good people. This helmet is from a friend outside who bought me here. Look, there are some bad people after Alex and if they find Clara, she may be in danger too. Heck, we may all be in danger here." Prince said all in panic. Prince received a text reading, 'We were followed, but it was only two small fries, I'm coming inside.' Prince sighed. "The friend is coming in; they took care of the tailers."

Kelsey entered the room and Levi looked up at her with suspicion. "Who are you?" she yelled. "You could've got us killed." Levi took a breath. "Prince why are you with some ruffian?" Kelsey looked down at Levi with a ticked look causing Levi to hesitate and go silent. The air felt strange as everyone avoided meeting eyes. Clara looked Kelsey in the eyes.

"Is Alex safe" Clara asked desperately. "He's like my little brother, knowing he went out of town to find out who did this to me makes me worry."

Kelsey smiled at Clara. "Don't worry" she said. "He's in good hands. You must be Clara; do you remember anything from the person who attacked you.?"

Clara shook her head and looked down frustrated. "I can't remember at all. Alex went so far to help me, yet I can't seem to remember a thing." She looked up and smiled at Kelsey. "Thank you for keeping those two safe. I can't help but worry though. He's got a target on his back."

Kelsey sat next to Clara and put a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be fine, he's an important person to us too," she said trying to ease Claras tension. "The people with him are on guard, it turns out that Alex's past is here to help him." They looked at Kelsey with confusion. "I'll let him tell you, I don't have the place to tell you."

During the conversation, Kellin looked troubled from the moment Kelsey walked in. He kept his gaze away and head low. Kelsey did glance at him every now and then as if she had seen him somewhere before.
