"Ahhhh!"
The battle cries from more than half of the room drowned out most of what Quinn wanted to say to the two beside him. Quinn planned on passing this test with a more logical approach, he didn't need to go out on a limb fighting everyone around him, he simply needed to wait and bide his time. The cadets were all fresh and ready to defend themselves, for now, they would be far easier to take down if they wore themselves out first.
He turned towards his left, planning to tell his plans to Helga, only for this eyes to widen when he saw that she had already vanished. He turned towards his right, hoping at least one person had some sense, only to see that Hakeem was gone as well.
Quinn sighed tiredly.
"Sword-Skill no. 3: Midnight dance!"
Quinn heard Helga's voice in the crowd, he turned towards the middle of the room and watched as she moved gracefully in a circle and dispatched a group of boys who were trying to surround her. The other cadets around moved back from her cautiously, they knew they couldn't take on someone with a magic skill if they didn't have one.
"Good, you're still here"
"Eh-"
Quinn turned to his left and had to jump back to avoid a dagger that dug into the ground where he stood before.
"So you are fast. I know you didn't see that dagger till the last second, and yet you avoided it"
The person talking was a girl with long black hair and a round face. She wore a simple black pair of pants and a black shirt, she also had a holster on each of her thighs which held several throwing daggers.
"I don't think I've ever met you before," Quinn said while standing properly "Shouldn't you introduce yourself before trying to kill someone?"
"What would be the point? The only reason I'm here is because someone told me you might be strong" She flipped her hair backward "So I decided to find out for myself"
Quinn realized that the someone must be the girl who had been looking at him. 'But she seemed quite strong, why wouldn't she come herself?' Quinn thought.
"-tertain me"
"I'm sorry, what was that? I stopped listening after a while"
Quinn placed a hand on his hip and dug the other into his ear. But he kept his eyes locked on the girl.
"How dare you!!" she screeched "How dare you ignore me"
".... Oh, was I suppose to listen to you rant?"
"That's it, I'll make you regret this" The girl grabbed another pair of throwing knives from her thighs and launched them at him. He dodged to the right with a roll. She came in closer and aimed a kick to his chest, he caught her leg and threw her backwards. She landed with a crouch and charged in again. The two engaged each other in hand to hand combat. He aimed a kick to the shin. It was countered and rewards by a palm strike to the shoulder. She threw a punch to the nose. He dodged and grabbed the offending arm, drawing her down to deliver a knee to her midsection. It connected solidly, drawing the air from her lungs. She recovered quickly enough and pulled another knife from her holster, aiming for his thigh. He dropped his leg and used the hell of his palm to slap the knife from her hands. He launched an elbow to her nose, and once she was distracted with the pain, he twisted behind her and wrapped his hands around her waist.
"This is going to hurt me more than it's going to hurt you~. Psyche..... just kidding"
Then with a heave, he performed a devastating German suplex on her.
*SLAAM!*
Quinn pushed her off, stood up from the ground, and dusted himself off. He looked around and saw that several people had been watching the fight between them, all with varying degrees of shock in their faces 'They've probably never seen a German suplex before.' Quinn thought 'Or is it because I did it to a girl?'
He shrugged and then took a step forward, towards one of the spectators "What are you looking at," he smiled, "Don't you wanna fight?"
The person he spoke to took a step back, then another, and another, before he turned and ran into the crowd of people fighting on the other side of the room while screaming
Quinn sweat-dropped.
He looked around and saw that the other spectators were also avoiding him, some whistling with their faces turned away, while others simply got into fights with each other. So he decided instead to claim his prize. He bent down to the girl's prone form - and after searching for a while - picked out the card from her pocket.
