Part 2

A week passed after the party and I was back at school, it was the last volleyball tournament for me and Mitchie too. We were finishing up school and entering college soon. I had applied to different colleges off Dad's radar, I knew it would bother him once he found out.

I didn't remember what had happened at the party after the championship and it wasn't that I cared anyway but everyone had seen the video of us dancing on the pool table.

I had enough of my sister talking about prom and it's not like she's graduating but Tyler "idiot" Wood will be at the party. I had no interest in going somehow.

Dad was happy that I didn't go to parties and those kinds of events that consist of dating, boyfriends and pregnancies, which went for Bonnie too, it was very clear that she was not getting the message.

I tore up a poster of the dance as I walked down the hall earning some hateful looks. The prom is stupid, a waste of time, a stupid tradition and obviously it seemed I was the only one who thought so.

There wasn't a day that the history teacher didn't send me to the director. I am the only one who have an opinion on the subjects she taught in each class.

I could swear she was annoyed by my presence.

We had volleyball practice on the field with the runners. With mud stained on our uniforms and knees along with the sun burning our skin, we were sweaty and tired after two and a half hours of practice.

"Enough for today" We heard the coach's. "Good job girls, same time tomorrow" We ran to our backpacks for water, thirsty. Concentrating on drinking my water, I didn't see Mitchie's brother approach.

"Hey"

"Hello"

"How are you?"

"Sweating and thirsty" He put both hands in his pockets.

"So... I'll pick you up on Friday night?" I looked at him confused.

"Aha, sure." I grabbed my backpack and placed it on my shoulder away from him.

"Do you prefer Saturday?" I heard him scream on my back

"I don't even know who you are." I yelled back.

I got home half an hour ago, took a shower and now I was lying down staring at the ceiling listening to music with my headphones on. You could hear the music from another room.

Some of my teammates had received the acceptance letter and mine hasn't yet arrived. I closed my eyes sighing heavily.

"I know it will come, I know it will come" I repeated several times over and over again. I had good grades and had no problem with any subject despite my frequent visits with the principal thanks to the history teacher.

Dad was scared that we would go on dates and get pregnant, our cousin had been through that. You don't have to worry about me because I wasn't thinking about having a boyfriend. Bonnie on the other hand was desperate for one, all her fake friends had one and she complained about it all the damn time. She didn't understand that having a boyfriend doesn't make you a better woman.

And also taking into consideration that dad takes children out of women's private parts every hour. Ever since Mom died, he had tried to do the best he could. He didn't spend that much time at home and I don't care much because I could take care of myself but I can't say the same for Bonnie.

On the other hand, I had no idea what the problem was with Mitchie's brother. He annoys me.

I sighed, the best thing will be to sleep.

I ran into Mitchie at lunch the next day. She was complaining about her brother, Ethan. Yes, I already know his name.

"Since he arrived, he keeps bothering me because of how drunk I was at the party, I can't stand it." she let out a low growl. "He has the worst reputation and thinks he has the right to tell me such nonsense that I am irresponsible." She made a gesture with her hand occupied with her fork. "Does he want to talk about being irresponsible? Talía. Let me tell you, I have a long list of stupid things he's done in his entire life. "I rolled my eyes.

"Just let him keep talking, it's not worth it. And it's not like every day you go out and get drunk "

"Exactly!"

"Oh, look who's coming this way" I lowered my voice.

"Kill me," Mitchie muttered.

"Hello little sister, Hello Talía" He smiled at me, I looked at him.

"What are you doing here? Your gang is on the other side. "Ethan rolled his eyes.

"I just wanted to say hello. I'm leaving now. "I watched him wink at me, making me glare at him.

"Your brother bothers me"

"I know sis, me too"
