Part 5

On Fridays we seniors didn't have classes, it was great for us (Mitchie and I).

I had all morning to finish what was left of my last book and then go through three more books.

For the non-date with Ethan I put on some sneakers, a little loose pants, a red top and a white sweater, I tied my hair in a ponytail. I had no idea where we were going but I didn't want to overdress myself and have him think otherwise.

Just as I was going down the stairs I heard his car park, without looking at Dad I left the house. I opened the passenger door and greeted him.

"I was thinking of going to meet you at your door" He looked at me with a smile.

"Dad is difficult, and I don't want him to think that we are dating" I put on my seatbelt while he started the car and we left for who knows where. "You told your sister that we were going out" I glanced at him. He coughed uncomfortably.

"I wasn't thinking of doing it but I asked her about you and it was easy to get it out."

"I hope she doesn't hate me." He looked at me confused. "Because we are hanging out today"

"Oh don't worry. She doesn't" I sighed.

We got to a music festival, and I didn't see that coming.

"You better take off your sweater because it could get dirty." I looked at him suspiciously.

I put him in the back seat and we made our way through the crowd to the entrance.

"What type of music is this?"

"Alternative. No Rome, Kodaline, Fall out Boy and I think Billie Eilish will be here but I'm not really sure. "I opened my eyes.

"How did you know I like those groups?" I narrowed my eyes.

He shrugged, "I know a lot more than you think." He winked at me laughing, I smiled. "Come on" He grabbed my hand pulling me closer, I looked at our hands together feeling weird.

The place was a bit closed but it was ventilated everywhere. It wasn't completely full yet but I knew it would be later.

"Each artist will sing at least 3 songs," Ethan told me. I nodded. The truth was, I was excited.

Now on stage they were Fall Out Boy singing Lake Effect Kid, we jumped to the beat of the song, I raised my arms feeling the music.

"Woohooo" I heard Ethan yell next to me. We sing the lyrics together just like the others. I danced with a girl who was next to me with her boyfriend.

Next was City in a Garden.

Feeling my heart was beating at the same time and I feel it throughout my body. I felt Ethan's hand run up my arm until he found my hand putting me against his chest and resting his chin on my head.

Fall Out Boy ended with Super Fade and after them came Kodaline.

At the same time Worth It started, Ethan was singing to the side of my ear whispering the lyrics.

The last remaining songs for them to sing were Shed a Tear and Head Held High.

No Rome would sing 4 songs and the festival would end, an hour and a half had passed.

Do It Again started playing through the speakers at the same time everyone started singing it. We rocked from side to side, feeling the energy, the rhythm, and the voice.

For the third song they announced that The 1975 would not be doing the collaboration right now with them because they were on tour but they had a special artist.

"Billie, are you there?" And everyone's cry was heard chanting her name. She came out when it was time to sing and let me tell you that she sings spectacular. They also sang her song "Lovely" along with Khalid. It was the most beautiful thing I ever heard. We all chanted all the songs, danced and enjoyed ourselves.

I was with a smile all the way to the restaurant where we would buy some sandwiches and then go out to eat them.

He parked the car in the parking lot of my house, "I had an incredible time" I heard him say.

I laughed softly, "Me too" I whispered. I looked at him watching him approach little by little.

Before I can react, he bumped his lips to mine, he only pressed them for a moment before he walked away smiling at me.

"See you tomorrow?" I nodded.

I sighed as soon as I lay down on my bed.

I can't believe I saw No Rome and Fall Out Boy today. I grinned before snuggling into my bed, letting sleep win me over.
