Chapter 4
Rain's POV
~knock knock~
"Sis, your friend, Julie is here. Come down now." Sally said on the opposite side of the door
"Yeah." I answered
What is that girl doing here? Aish. I'm not in the mood right now. I don't know why but I'm really irritated today.
I went downstairs and there Julie is sitting comfortably on the couch. I stand in front of her and I crossed my arms.
"What brings you here?" I asked Julie
Julie playfully smiled at me knowing I'm not in a good mood. It irritates me more so I rolled my eyes on her.
"My dear friend we're having an activity with our friends, don't you remember?" She asked teasingly
Oh yeah, right. I thought to myself
"Of course I remember! Let me just change my clothes and we'll go." I answered
Julie just smiled at me which irritates me more.
I went back to my room, straight to my wardrobe. After pondering what to wear, I managed to change my clothes. I get my bag, went down to Julie and off we go to our friend's house.

The both of us are silent. No one's talking as we turn to a corner. It's good because I'm really not in a good mood.
It's a good thing our friend's house is just walking distance away from our house.
After a 10 minute walk, we reached the house. We ring the bell but no one answers. I frown at that. We ring it again but still no one answers.
"What the..." Julie started speaking
"Allen!" We started calling our friend but still no one answers
It added to my irritation but I manage to calm myself.
"Julie, see if anyone of them are active on Messenger." I said
She nodded and she took her phone out. Luckily, Louie, his bestfriend is online so we call him.
"Hey, Louie where here in front of Allen's. Why nobody is answering the door?" Julie asked
"Oh, sorry, hang on, I'll let you in." Louie answered and after that he hang up
After a minute, the door opens and Louie came out.
"Sorry about that, we're not finish arranging the venue yet" Louie apologized.
"That's why we're here early. To help you." Julie said
Louie smiled. "Thank you." He said
Louie let us in and and he lead us to the rooftop. Truth be told, they are still arranging it. Jeff is putting up a banner, Kate is arranging the props and the others are inflating the balloons.
They greeted us when they saw our presence and we greeted back. After that, they went back to what they're doing.
"I don't see Allen, where is the owner?" I asked Louie
"He's in the kitchen with his sister, Mei. They're arranging the foods they ordered." He answered
I nodded my head at that.
At that time, Kate came towards us.
"Louie, we need more papers and strings. Also some paper plates and spoon and fork." She said as soon as she is with us
"We'll get those for you." I cut in
"Are you sure?" Asked Louie eyeing me and Julie
"Of course, it is." I assured him
"But you just got here" he said
"It's ok, really. Don't worry about us." I said encouragingly
"Yeah, besides we're here to help, remember?" Added Julie
"Ok then." Louie said finally
He led us through the door.
"You should ride the Tricycle so you guys can come back at once." Louie announced and he give us money for our transport
I try to it give back but he won't take it.
"But-" I started talking but he cut me off
"No buts" he said firmly
"Alright" I said defeated
Julie and I went out and we waved at him to go back in.
We started walking towards the Tricycle Stop
"First of, let's go to NBS to buy papers and yarns and then we'll stop in a convenience store to buy paper plates and spoon and fork." I said to Julie as we hop inside the Tricycle.
Julie nodded.
After 5 minutes, we arrived outside the mall. We payed the driver and we went inside.
We head straight to NBS to buy the papers and strings.
"What should we buy?" Julie asked
"I don't know. Let's ask Kate about it." I answered
Julie took her phone out and check if Kate is online but she isn't.
We look for others and good thing Jeff is online so we call him.
"Hey, Jeff. Where is Kate? She's not online and we need to speak to her." Julie said as soon as Jeff picks up
"Here she is. I'll hand the phone to her." Jeff said on the other line
"Hello?" Kate said
"Kate, there are a lot of papers here. What should we buy?" Asked Julie
"Oh, yeah. I forgot to tell you about that. Buy papers with designs on them and some colored papers. For the strings, buy anything it doesn't matter. We'll use those for hanging." Kate explained
"Got it. Thank you" Julie said
"Welcome." Kate said before hanging up
We examined the labels and it says that one plastic contains 10 pieces so we pick up 5 papers with different designs and 5 colored papers. As for the string, we buy 2 rolls of it.
We finished buying what we need and we headed to the counter. Some people are in the line but not that much. We paid the cashier and we went out.
"I'm hungry" Julie said as we are walking towards the escalator
I raise my eyebrow at her.
She sense me so she look back.
"What?" She asked
I laughed at her reaction and that makes her pout.
"Alright, let's stop by Jollibee. I'm hungry too. We didn't anything since we left my house"
As we are walking, someone bumped me. I almost toppled down. Luckily, Julie caught my hand. The someone who bumped me just continued walking. My irritation came back
I started running towards him even though Julie is stopping me.
"Hey, you!" I shouted but he didn't stop.
I yanked his arms when I reached him and that make him turn to look at me.
"What?" He said with a straight face
It irritates me more but I calm myself.
"You bumped me but you didn't apologize." I said
He look at me from head to toe.
"Sorry." He said still with a straight face
He faces the other way and he starts to walk away again. It outrages me and I can't calm myself down. I'm going to run to him again but Julie caught me.
"Calm down, Rain. We're in a public place, remember?" She said
I look around. Good thing no one's watching.
"Let's go grab something to cool you down and we'll head out." Julie said
I nodded. We go to Jollibee. I ordered a burger and a float while Julie ordered burger and fries.
After that, we head out to go back to Allen's.
