Survival

As I wake up to Leto's sobs, Tyler does too. He makes his way over and rocks her back into a peaceful sleep.

Soon, the sun starts to set and we make our way into the dead of night so we can hide in the shadows.

As we walk through the ruins, the smells invade our senses and we trip over bodies that litter the ground. Some are as little as babies and others are as old as my grandparents would have been.

Pain fills my heart as I never know if, one day, I will trip over my sister's body or someone else I know.

Soon, Leto falls asleep in Tyler's arms.

"A," Tyler breaks the silence first, "what have you seen?" "A lot," I say seriously, "a lot of death and a lot of secrets that have been hidden from us. Saved some people from the army and met some killer robots."
