Ch.1

It was a foggy night and Jimmy driving the richest and the most cold-hearted woman on Earth Lisa Morgan. He was barely able to see in front of him due to the thick fog.

Out of nowhere, a little boy came in front of the car Jimmy used the breaks immediately but still, he hit the boy and he fell.

“What happened?” Lisa asked from the backseat.

“I think we hit a boy,” Jimmy said nervously not knowing what to do.

“What're you waiting for? Go check if he’s ok,” Lisa said in a pissed tone which Jimmy was used to by now. He left the car to check on the little boy he was still breathing, and his heartbeat was normal. “Ma’am, he’s still alive should we take him to the hospital?” Jimmy said worried about the little boy if it’s Lisa she might not even care about a child at least he thought so.

“No, we can't I don’t want any nasty rumors spreading around,” Lisa said coldly.

Jimmy was used to this, but he didn’t want to leave a little kid alone like that. “Ma’am we can’t just leave him here, everyone would be talking about this,” Jimmy said hoping to change her mind. Changing Lisa Morgan’s mind is almost impossible she was a strong woman that no one can challenge her.

“I don’t care about the news, also I don’t remember saying we will leave him, get him in the car and call a doctor I am taking him home,” Lisa said making Jimmy smile. He carried the boy and was about to put him in the front seat when Lisa stopped him.

“You can’t put them in the front seat bring him here,” Lisa demanded to move the boy to the back seat and Jimmy complied. He did hear rumors that Lisa got a soft heart but only for children if rumors are true then the boy will be safe.

Lisa observed the boy he had blonde hair which was dirty so was his face. His clothes had many holes in them and were also dirty the boy looked like a skeleton it looks like he hadn’t eaten for a long time. People call her a monster when real monsters are out there giving children a hard life the most important thing is that boy reminded her of someone. She could not help but move her hand to touch the little boy’s hair wondering what kind of monster would let their kids starve like that.

Looking in the mirror Jimmy was surprised to see Lisa playing with the little boy’s hair while smiling he did not see anything like that coming from Lisa before.

~1 hour later~

Lisa sat down listening to the doctor who happens to be one of her very few friends the little boy seemed to have many health issues and he was seriously sick. “Where did you find him anyway? Do you know his parents?” doctor Michelle asked.

“Well, he came in front of the car suddenly, his parents are lucky because I don’t know who are they,” Lisa said calmly taking a sip of her teacup.

“Alright, the boy must be fed probably, and take his medicine in time, I believe he’s unconscious because of the shock if you don't find his parents and want to send him somewhere like a foster house or an orphanage, you will have to wait, ” doctor Michelle said.

Lisa gave her a look of disbelief because the boy was not going anywhere unless she found his parents who will have to face her investigation before giving them the boy.

“The boy is not going anywhere, you know that I don’t believe in luck, right? There’s a reason why this boy came out directly in front of my car until I know who his parents are and until I know the reason he was in the street starving until then the boy will stay here I will take care of him.”

Michelle can tell that Lisa is serious. She still remembers the days when Lisa was kind and always smiling before the accident when she lost everything. “Lisa he’s not Tommy, Tommy is dead you know that don’t you?”

Michelle could see the sadness in Lisa’s eyes. For Lisa, the accident that happened two years ago was just like yesterday that day she lost the closest person to her heart form that day her heart was closed forever no one was ever able to take Tommy’s place.

Thomas Morgan or Tommy as Lisa used to call him was her first and only child, she used to give him everything, after all, he was her only family. Lisa was an orphan who lost her parents when she was five.

Her beloved aunt took care of her until she was 20 when her aunt and her last family member died.

Her parents left her a huge wealth which was left untouched however she never wanted this wealth she wanted her family.

She runs her parent’s money just because of her father’s will in his will he gives everything to Lisa, she runs his wealth very well that she became a billionaire. She married a poor man, but he was a proud man who refused to take anything from Lisa his name was Andrei Radu. He used to be an orphan just like her and was her classmate in management school. They got married after graduation and she secretly gives him a position in one of her newfound companies as the sales director.

After a half year they had a son while Andrei refused to give the boy his last name for reasons, he did not want to reveal so Thomas or Tommy took the last name, Morgan. Their life was happy however it seemed Lisa’s happiness cannot last forever jut when everything looked perfect and their boy turned two a tragedy hit the family Andrei died on one of his business trips. Like this wasn’t enough just one year after Tommy in a tragic accident.

Being someone who never believed in luck Lisa cursed her fate it seemed that her fate was to always be alone. First was her parents then her aunt after that her husband and son from that day the kind and cheerful Lisa was dead instead the ice queen was born covering her heart with layers of cold thick ice she lived her life without opening her heart until today. Lisa can feel it this boy was sent to her for a reason and she can already feel the thick ice melting down little by little from all the warm feeling coming from her heart.

How can such a little boy affect her so much and meltdown her long-frozen heart? For two years she wondered what the reason for her life was? there must be a reason for why all her beloved ones are dead but she’s still alive. Was her she’s alive all this time for this moment? To be a mom again? Was that the reason fate sent the boy directly to her? Maybe just like her, the little boy had no family left and she’s supposed to be his family? She wanted to believe in that, but she didn’t know what fate is hiding for her.

He certainly felt special.
