Seeing that her friend didn’t reply and the tears in her eyes Michelle knew that she said something she shouldn’t have after all Lisa changed so much after Tommy died. “Lisa listen I am sorry I didn’t mean to…,” Michelle said but before she contained Lisa interrupted her.
“No, you’re right he’s not Tommy even if he looks a lot like Tommy, I know that. Still, I won’t send him to an orphanage if his parents don’t show up, I will take care of him myself not because he looks like Tommy but because he needs help and I am not ready to look the other way when there’s a little boy that needs help in my house,” Lisa said.
Michelle knows that since the death of Tommy Lisa had been helping more children in need building more schools and hospitals all over the world because she didn’t want to see a child in need. “I see, he will be much safer with you anyway, remember once he wakes up he must eat also if you don’t find his parents I am sure he will be lucky to have you as his mom,” Michelle said standing up to leave.
“Wait you won’t have dinner with me? They’ve already prepared the food,” Lisa said standing up herself. Michelle had been one of the few friends Lisa kept in touch with after the death of Tommy she wasn’t only a friend but was also Tommy’s doctor.
“Sorry Lisa maybe another time, it looks like I will be visiting more frequently from now on,” Michelle said. Lisa escorted her outside and then went to the guest room where the boy was asleep.
Sitting there beside him on the bed she wondered why did he look so much like Tommy? Sitting there listening to his soft snores when she noticed a small scar on his forehead, she hadn’t realized it until now because his hair was covering his forehead, the scar looked like it was made with something sharp. It didn’t look like the boy did it himself which means someone did it to him.
As she was investigating his wound the boy started to shake and mumble something Lisa didn’t hear it at first but when she listened carefully, she heard exactly what he was saying. “Mommy doesn’t go, please mommy doesn’t go,” the little boy mumbled making Lisa tear up.
Her arms reached around him and pulled him closer to her embracing him with a hug the boy snuggled closer to her. “Shhhhh, it’s alright baby mommy is here don’t worry baby,” Lisa said tears running down from her eyes she hadn’t done this for two years.
Lisa fell asleep hugging the boy as Lisa’s maid Angus entered the room, she smiled widely covering Lisa and the little boy.
Angus was the head of the maids she used to work for her parents before their death and when Lisa was looking for workers to take care of her father’s mansion, she took the job.
She had been with Lisa when she got married and when she had her son. She had seen Lisa fall from happiness to depression she was always there for Lisa she tried her best to help Lisa after losing her son, but she wasn’t able to do anything.
Now seeing this little boy bringing Lisa back to life was something she never expected she was determined to keep the boy with Lisa no matter what after all no one can take care of the kid better than Lisa and she looked happy with the boy around.
~Next morning~
Lisa woke up around 9:00 AM like usual she was confused as to why she was in one of the guest rooms, not her bedroom she then looked beside her and remembered why. Seeing the little boy sleeping peacefully was a very precious site it felt like Tommy was still alive.
She left the guest room and headed to her room since it was the weekend she didn’t have to go to work.
Today she was going to investigate about the boy today. Deep inside of her, she didn’t want to let go of the boy no matter what, but he wasn’t her child and if his parents showed up, she will have no choice however she was not ready to leave the boy to someone who might put his life in danger. She went to her private bathroom to take a shower while leaving the little boy who was still sleeping.
While in the shower she couldn’t stop thinking about the boy she knew that she shouldn’t be hoping for the boy to have no one, but she hopes that this was the case she didn’t want to let the boy go. As Lisa emerged from the shower, she heard some noise in the hallway and left her room to investigate that’s when the little boy pumped into her and fell on his butt.
As Lisa looked down, she could see the most beautiful green eyes and she only knew one person with those eyes this person was her son Tommy.
“I am sorry MS. Morgan, he ran away the moment he woke up,” one of the maids said while trying to catch her breath.
“It’s ok, I will take care of this,” Lisa said realizing that the boy was staring at her with curiosity, she only replied with a smile as she bent down to face the boy. “Hi, there what’s your name?”
“It’s Alexie, my name is Alexie,” the little boy said blushing.
“Alexie huh? That’s a lovely name,” Lisa said making the boy blush even more. “Nice to meet you, Alexie I am Lisa,” Lisa said giving the little boy her hand to shake. She felt as if fate was smiling at her again, by sending this little boy to her. After all, what is the chance of a little boy jumping in front of her car? She was glad it was her and not someone else, she would never leave a child in need. “You have cute eyes sweetie,” Lisa said making the boy blush yet again.
She was glad he didn’t say his name was Thomas or it would be really weird, even if she believes in fate. That would have been a big twist of fate. Something inside of her is telling her to help that this boy is in dire need of help, she was always ready to help a child in need. Some people would never understand the value of children. They are the purest creatures on earth, they are innocent and barely understand what happening around them.
