Ch.2.1

After a couple of minutes, Lisa realized that Alexie was starting to calm she could only hear the sound of his hiccups and sniffles. "Feeling better?" Lisa asked Alexie looking down she saw him nodding slowly.

She kissed his forehead and patted his back. "Alexie, would you like to stay with me?" Lisa asked the question she wanted to ask for a long time.

Alexis had no place to go and he would never go back to his dad. Leaving aside that Lisa treated him pretty well she reminded him of his mom. His answer was obvious, and Lisa was delighted to see him nodding.

"Alright, sweetie finishes your food so you can take your medicine," Lisa said as Alexie wiped his tears and give her a smile that made her heart beat faster for a second.

"Umm, mommy used to call me Alex, " Alexie said blushing a bit while Lisa looked at him amused.

She now did not doubt her decision she will rise Alexie and keep him safe no matter what.

"Alright, Alex I will be making a phone call come for me when you finish eating, alright?" Lisa said kissing his cheek before going to a corner of the balcony to speak with her lawyer.

Meanwhile, Alexie was eating his breakfast when Angus entered the balcony to check on Lisa. She saw Alexie eating and smiled.

On this same balcony, she saw Lisa having breakfast back when her parents were still alive.

She saw Tommy eating breakfast with his parents on the same balcony, after all, it was Lisa's favorite.

"Well, hello there I see you're finally eating," Angus said sterling Alexie and scaring him.

Alexie jumped from his place and almost fall down from his seat before Angus caught him.

"Easy now we don't want you getting another injury," Angus said helping Alexie back in his seat.

The last thing Angus wanted was to scare Alexie and having Alexie injured Angus was sure that Lisa would be mad because of it.

"Thank you, " Alexie said politely. Alexie may have been left on the streets for two months but he didn't forget his manners.

He only eats so fast because he was starved. His mom Sophia had taught him good manners so that he won't end up being crude and rude like his dad.

"You're welcome, I hope you enjoy the food, after all, I made it myself, " Angus said. Alexis looked at the food then back at Angus.

"It's delicious, thank you so much," Alexie said smiling and Angus smiled back. He hasn't eaten such a delicious meal for a long time.

"I am glad you're enjoying my food, it looks like you haven't eaten for a long time, what were they feeding you, bread?" Angus said it as a joke but it was the truth. Even bread was hard to get a lot of time.

There was a certain homeless man that would always take the bread before anyone and will hand Alexie a piece of bread.

This man didn't only leave a piece of bread to Alexie. He would stay beside Alexie until he is done with his piece of bread making sure no one can take it from Alexie.

Even this homeless man was better than his father. Alexie felt pain in his small heart. Alexie was always the smartest child in his class. Being the smart kid wasn't always a good thing.

At the age of three, Alexie understood that his dad didn't like him without Sophia telling him. While he understood that he didn't understand why his dad hated him so much.

Angus's joke caused tears to form in Alexie's eyes. Of course, Angus didn't know all that. How can she know that a 5 years old was forced to live only on bread for two months?

Seeing that Alexei was about to cry, Angus had to think quickly. She didn't have any intention of making him cry. She was ready to catch hell from Lisa if Alexie did.

"Hi, it's alright I was just kidding".

Angus reached to rub his back and calm him down. Alexie reached to wipe his tears than smile at Angus. Angus knew that this's a fake smile. She knew that this smile was meant to cover the pain in his heart.

It became more interesting though. Not only did Alexie had the same look as Tommy but also the same personality. Tommy wasn't open to anyone he was a child but you needed to gain his trust for him to open up to you. Alexie was the same. " What's your name little one?" Angus asked.

"My name is Alexie ma'am."

"Well, Alexie nice to meet you, you can call me Angus, " Angus said patting Alexie's head, before taking a look into her hand watch. "I have some work to do little one, I will see you later."

Not long after Angus left Lisa came back. She had talked to her lawyer and explained the situation to him. He assured Lisa that in one week everything will be ready and they will just need a picture of Alex.

The news made Lisa very happy. Alexie deserves a better home and she was going to give him just that. "Alex, sweetie have you finished your food?" Lisa asked looking at the almost empty plates in front of Alexie.

Alex replied with a nod.

"Alright then, let's give you your medicine shall we, " Lisa said smiling. One of the things Alexie hated so much was medicine, but he wasn't going to oppose his savior. He would try to get away from it without making Lisa unhappy.

"Do I have to?" Alexie said pouting.

Seeing Alexie's expression and his big green eyes, Lisa almost fell for it but she didn't.

"Yes, mister you must take your medicine, I tend to keep my children healthy, " Lisa said with a smirk.

"Heh, at least I was worth the try, " Alexie thought the nodded to Lisa who smiled.

Lisa was really happy, she could never be happier, after all, she just saved a baby in dire need of love and protection. She saved HER BABY. Whoever this bastard is he won’t get away with what he did to Alexie. She would make sure that he lives every day to regret what he did. How could such a monster even exist how could he do that to his own son? His blood and flesh child. She vowed to destroy his life and she will make sure Alexie is well protected. She deserves to rise Alexie she deserves to love and protect him.
