Chapter Seventeen

JESSE

"That's right lad. You were kind enough to leave this on the ground for me that day. This small piece of paper has haunted me since!" Miles glowered, hollering with force.

His body slowly started to shake but uncontrollable laughter burst out of my mouth, distracting him. He narrowed his eyes at me.

"I'd keep that meat suit on. I'm sure it's a lot prettier than your actual face. What poor boy did you skin to accomplish this little game of yours?" I taunted. My voice was as sharp as my blades.

Miles's lips curled into a tight-lipped smile.

"It's time to get rid of this hideous costume. I would like my true face to be seared into your mind even after death." Miles answered.

His body started shaking again like he was having a seizure and I could see Lyla cringe at the sound of his skin tearing away from his muscles and bones. His insides were black and gooey, his organs all yellow and brown like he was rotten from the inside out.
