Epilogue

LYLA

A WEEK LATER

"Do we really have to do this?" I pouted as Jesse placed a beautiful corsage with blue and orange stargazer lilies around my wrist. We were standing outside of the boys dormitory, just outside of the rec hall. It was filled with students in fancy dress clothes.

I chose a sparkling blue baby doll dress that shimmered in the lighting. It reached just above my knees and the tulle tickled my skin when I walked. Since it was getting colder every day I of course wore panty hose and a light dress jacket. My hair was curled with a blue star clip that held it to the side.

My heart raced as I surveyed Jesse who wore a black button up shirt, black ripped jeans and a turquoise tie. It seemed only fitting to wear each other's colors.

"Yes. If it makes you feel better, this is the first dance I've ever been to." He waggled his brows.

His silver eyes peeped through his black hair that had fallen into his face.
