Amulet was the runt of her litter. As she grew a strange mark appeared on her right eye that once she reached maturity it began to cause complications and finding her mate only accelerated her complications. Now her and her mate Desmond are on the hunt to answer the enigma that is her birthmark. Little do they know following this trail will turn the hunters in the the hunted.

Runt

Des was tugging Amy by her scuff until they reached the shore. He coughed up some blood as she held hugged the coast. "Des!" 


He put a paw up to silence her, "I'm fine." 


"Doesn't matter how are you." He asked as he stood, his legs wobbling underneath him. Noticing this Amy jumped up and used her weight to support him. "Don't push yourself." 


She shook her head as Des took a few steps, staying close to him she continued to support him. 


"We need to catch up with the pack." Des coughed. 


"We should set up camp, you can't travel like this." Amy stated. 


Des growled, "Amy we need to get with the pack." 


Amy barked, "We need to rest, we fell off of a fucking waterfall Des. You are hurt and we are not going to walk hundreds of miles to catch up with them. We need to take time and rest!" 


Des growled but he shook his head, "Fine we can rest, but first thing in the morning we are to leave and find the pack."
