Amulet was the runt of her litter. As she grew a strange mark appeared on her right eye that once she reached maturity it began to cause complications and finding her mate only accelerated her complications. Now her and her mate Desmond are on the hunt to answer the enigma that is her birthmark. Little do they know following this trail will turn the hunters in the the hunted.

Runt

Amy was struggling to keep up with Xander as he briskly jogged back to their meeting spot. 


"No, you speed up. We have to tell the others. We need to get back to moving." Xander growled as they approached the group of brothers. Xander stopped and Amy slammed right into the back of him. He turned and frowned at her. "Really?" 


"I was trying to keep up. I'm not fully fit to start running again." 


Blaine cleared his throat, "Xander you seem distressed." 


Xander looked to his brothers and then to Amy. "We have something to tell you." 


Amy and Xander broke it down for the group. How they met Serenity, what she showed them, and why the humans as so far inland. 


"And dad ordered for you to be thrown away?" Ethan added. 


"And father lied to us about mothers death?" Blaine piped in.
