Shadow

The car wobbled as we headed down a dirt path, hearing the tires roar and the pebbles hitting beneath the trunk. Within the car-doors was utter silence.

Not one of us made a sound.

The woman would often mumble things, but it wasn't intelligible.

She didn't have on a mask, which means she wasn't trying to hide her identity.

This also meant that she wasn't planning on letting us go.

How could we have been so blind? If only we were having fun, we would have never accepted her invite.

We pulled up to an old abandoned warehouse where stood two broad muscular men awaiting our arrival at the entrance. The car came to a brusque and they made their way towards the car in sync.

They both wore shades; one was bald, the other had long black hair pulled into a pony tail.

She stopped the car and waited for the men to open the doors. I was seated in the middle.

The bald one opened Eliizabeth's door, and the other opened Afyres', yet still in sync.
