CHAPTER ONE

7years later

"Sabine, you're allowed to make friends while you're there but it should never pass that ok" my best friend Lois said

"Yeah no besties allowed except us" my other best friend Hannah affirmed with Lois.

"Ok guys I get it but what if I make besties for different countries"

I asked them teasingly but the glare I received was enough to make me shut up. Geez my bestie are really stingy with me but hey it's not my fault that am lovable and it won't be that bad if someone would want to be my bestie over there.

"Geez guys take a chill pill i was just kidding but never say never "

I said winking at them causing them to laugh.

I am at the international airport waiting for my flight to be called

I was finally going to Germany to study pediatrics my dream profession.

My parents, siblings and besties are all here to send me off.

Just then my flight was called, I turned to my besties and hugged them we were all close to tears but I know they are just being strong for me. I hugged my siblings admonishing them to behave and then I went to my parents.

"Make sure you take care of yourself and behave ok my dear? And call us as much as you can cause I don't want to miss my bestie and twin too much alright??"

My mom told me with her voice shaky, my dad held her shoulders to comfort her. My mom and I became besties after the death of my elder brother, we both tried to fill the void of missing him with each other even though it doesn't work but it was worth it. I was already close with my parents before he died so we just became closer now and because of the past loss they find it hard to let go of me.

"Yes Mom I will, don't stress yourself I'll be fine besides our family friend is there to take care of me as well."

I said trying to console her.

"Yes Sabine you're right and don't forget the instructions I gave you on how to get to Dr Sabine Gilbert, alright."

my dad said to me.

"Yes dad I remember"

I replied

"Alright go on board and be safe for us my dear"

my dad said hugging me.

I hugged my besties again with then reminding me not to forget them and to call them and my mom too.

Waving at them I made my way to the plane.

I was settled in reading a book on Wattpad when a guy who I suppose is my seatmate came and sat beside me.

"Hello am Liam Wilson, what's the name to this beauty?"

The supposed seatmate said.

Ok this guy sure looks like a player with the smoldering look he's giving me already. I'll admit that he's good looking even though not my kind of man, having green eyes with dark curly hair and some chiseled jaw. Before I could reply a man sitting behind him stood up and made him stand up as well and started murmuring to him in German so I went back to reading my book but what got my attention was when I heard the Liam saying something about Nigerian beauty and not missing out in German did I finally conclude my suspicion about him being a player. I guess the few lessons in German I had paid off. The man from behind shoved Liam to sit at his previous seat then sat down beside me and I wasn't really paying attention to them anymore.

"Am sorry about that I just wanted to relieve you of him because Liam sometimes could get a little handsy and I don't think you're the kind of girl. I always try to get a seat beside him when traveling to avoid such but I wasn't lucky this time so that's why I try to avert it from you."

The man started rambling but I didn't bother looking at him I just turned slightly to see what's happening behind with

Liam cause I knew that I saw a girl sitting together with the man earlier on and I saw just as the man said.

Turning around I asked

"But what about the lady you left with Liam?"

Chuckling a bit he replied

"Well I was saving myself as well cause she wanted the same thing as Liam so why not make their dreams come true."

I couldn't help but laugh at this one, looking at him he sure looks like a gentleman. I was trying to get a good look at his face when the air hostess came to ask if we were settled making him turn his face oh well he's a good guy no biggie and no need to study his face. I buckled up and went back to my reading as the plane took off then I unbuckled to relax, sometime while reading I fell asleep.

Samuel's pov

I was traveling back to Germany today with my asshole of a cousin

Liam even though he had no business here in Nigeria. Well I do know his kind of business... The ladies business and I just wonder how he does all this when I haven't even had my first kiss.

Not to brag but i am the kind of man the the ladies call Greek gods and they swoon all over me but hey am not into all these one night stands and flings.

my friend's call me wimp or sometime gay but I don't care. Up till the age of 22 I haven't touched a lady and no one was allowed to touch me with the exception of my family and little kids cause not even my female friends were allowed to touch me

I don't have a phobia or past emotional trauma by a woman I just like my personal space.

"Hey man, why aren't we traveling private?"

Liam asked as we made our way to the check in area, good thing there's no paparazzi here.

"I already told you Liam, I just want to experience traveling economy class from this country and see if there is any improvement I could help with and make it more comfortable even when you can't pay first class. And besides traveling economy doesn't make you any less than a first class passenger everyone deserves equal comfort."

I told him

Being in my line of work the people's comfort is my priority and without literally experiencing it I won't be able to know what they really need to make it work.

"Oh hail the world's Samaritan willing to sacrifice his comfort for others"

He said mockingly doing the bowing gesture.

Giving him a hard glare he threw his hands up in mock surrender laughing.

"Chill man and besides I hope I get seated with some hottie since our seats were separated which is amazing"

He said happily with a fist bump.

I sighed in resignation, Liam as the player he is always tries to hook up and join the mile high club if you know what I mean, so I always try to get us seats together to put a leash on him whenever he accompanies me but this time around wasn't lucky for me so hopefully he doesn't mess up.

Just then our flight was called so we made our way to the boarding area.

Going on board we found our seats both aisle and I was sitting right behind him with a lady beside me. Checking on Liam, his seatmate hasn't come which i hope to be a man. Few minutes later Liam excused himself to go to the restroom and just then I set my eyes on the most beautiful sight ever giving me a boner instantly for a guy who doesn't give a damn about ladies. But I can't just help but be mesmerized by the lady in front of me, she's a Nigerian by the looks of it. So simple looking wearing a black jean and a white top with a light pink jacket and her black silk looking hair which I bet is soft as it looks tied up in a loose ponytail with a few tendrils falling out and her front baby hair making her look so adorable yet she looked so gorgeous that am at loss for words. She was smiling kindly while looking for her seat and I noticed her cute little dimples and damn am a sucker for those. My heart came crashing when she came and sat on the seat beside Liam's, I began thinking of ways to get Liam away from her cos she doesn't look like a girl who would entertain him and besides I want her with me, yeah that's right I like her already which is freaking me out but I have to explore this feeling and not miss out and besides it's not everyday I find someone to my liking.

The girl beside me started trying to get my attention which of course I wouldn't allow then I got the idea.

Just then Liam came back and when he saw who his seatmate was he gave me a knowing smirk and sat down and I know I wasn't going to like it.

"Hello am Liam Wilson, what's the name to this beauty?"

He asked with his usual flirting demeanor.

I just couldn't take it anymore so I stood up and raised him up as well.

"Was ist dein problem?"(what is your problem)

I asked him in German to avoid someone eavesdropping.

He smirked at me knowing why I was asking him that.

"Warum nicht?? Ich habe eine Nigerianische schönhet ,mit der ich spaც haben kann." (why not?? I have a Nigerian beauty to have fun with)

I gave him a disgusted look

"Nein!! das tust du nicht" (no!! You don't)

I said glaring at him

"Oh bitte!! Ich kann es night verpassen" (Oh please!! I can't miss out)

He glared back

I didn't have time to to keep arguing with him so I shoved him to my seat and sat down in his and now I have to make up for him.

"Am sorry about that, I just wanted to relieve you of him because Liam sometimes could get a little handsy and I don't think you're the kind of girl. I always try to get a seat beside him when traveling to avoid such but I wasn't lucky this time so that's why I try to avert it from you."

I started rambling to her which I couldn't believe I was doing because I've always been collected and cool.

She didn't even respond to me and just turned to look at Liam, the corner of her lips tugged a little

"But what about the lady you left with Liam?"

She asked snapping me out of my thoughts.

I guess she caught me out there.

I chuckled

"Well I was saving myself as well cause she wanted the same thing as Liam so why not make their dreams come true."

I replied with half the truth. I couldn't handle a lady trying to get handsy with me.

Then I heard a beautiful sound...her laugh

It was so calm and adorable and I can't help but be proud that I made her laugh already.

I thought laughing as well.

She was about to talk when when the air hostess came to us asking if we were settled

I turned to responded to her. After the air hostess left to check on the other passengers I turned to talk to the angel beside me but she was on her phone and engrossed in what she was reading so I decided to let her be after all we have about 8 hours flight ahead of us to talk

I guess the talking could wait.
