This is a tale of the protagonist's end, a story of myth and legend. The story of Lilith.

Venus followed her brother Alistarr, leaving her little home town in pursuit of her dream. Her dream to be more than one of the countless uneducated brothel girls that littered her town. For an average story, getting to that dream would be Venus's heartwarming ending. A perfect happily ever after. However, this isn't that type of story. In the real world, a curveball always gets thrown your way when you're just getting comfortable and life doesn't just end with your dreams.

Lilith

"You're awake?" Venus raises her head toward the voice and freezes. She looks up at him with wide eyes. She wasn't ready to see him. Not yet, not again. "Why do you look at me like that?" Venus takes a deep breath and looks back down at her feet. "Alistarr, why am I here?" 


"I got a letter from the school. You have been expelled. Why didn't you tell me?" Venus doesn't answer. She keeps her eyes on the ground. Her mind is contemplating scenarios where she comes out of this whole, unscathed by her brother's unwillingness, and her own indecision. "You wanted to go so bad, so why?" 


"Alistarr, I won't ask again, why am I here?" 


"You couldn't have stayed in that flat, and you have nowhere else to go. So I brought you home."
